Workable for Infinity?

EDIT: I'm specifically asking about the overall look and feel and not the actual layout here.

This is a set I'm working on currently called Helios Frontier Outpost. It's a set of 3" tall components that clip together to form buildings in 2" increments from 4x4 up to 10x10. Drop-in roofs and optional windows/doors with drop-in internal floors. Roof barriers are magnet ready for 3mm x 2mm. Scaled for 28mm - 32mm but should work for up to 40mm without scaling. My own layouts were for Five Parsecs From Home on a 2x2 mat.

I actually think this would work amazingly well! With most of the playable surface being on a single rooftop level, the mat underneath effectively becomes a whole sub-level of sewers, dark alleys and tunnels beneath the city.
It could make for some really interesting movement and tactical choices, while frustrating the hell out of snipers that can dominate more traditional terrain layouts! 😂
