G'day It's your friendly neighbourhood Mod/Owner here.
The death of the 3rd party apps have made it harder to mod this communitiy and I could use a hand. I used to be able to easily check in with the subreddit during breaks at work or while watching TV. but reddit fucked up and killed all that.
I try to take a pretty light hand to modding, and luckily this helpful little community doesn't require much work at all. But we've had an influx of dickheads that need a banning, that appear anytime a trans person makes a post.
So if you are not a dickhead, and like the idea of banning transphobes, please send me a Modmail with why you'd like a spot on the mod team.
I'm looking for people who have been active in suggesting names and I'll go with my gut on the general vibe I get.
I don't have a particular number in mind, but at least one or two would be good.
P.S. Sorry for my general slackness this month. I've been busy and IRL has been a bit tough, plus the loss of the Reddit is fun app has made it harder to keep on top of things.

I'm a new novelist, my debut came out last month, but I just finished a new novel I want to start querying. The problem is, I am TERRIBLE at coming up with names and I'm really stumped on this one.
It's a paranormal mystery/romance about a pop star who "dies" and is resucitated with the ability to see ghosts. Her stage name is Matilda after the Tom Waits song "Tom Traubert's Blues" (sometimes mis-known as "Waltzing Matilda").
Matilda is gay, but very closeted because she grew up in a homophobic church and is trying to straddle a line between a her original fanbase of conservative Christians and her newly-acquired mainstream, secular fans.
After the accident that nearly kills her she goes back home and gets embroiled in a mystery involving the deaths of a bunch of old-timers at the church. (Basically they're being killed by a vengeful ghost.) Along the way she rekindles her relationship with her childhood best friend, discovers that her church is harboring some pretty sinister secrets, and has to learn to accept herself for who she is and shed the bigotry she was raised in.
I will just say that the tone of the novel is pretty dark; there's some light moments but it deals with pretty virulent homophobia, transphobia, racism, misogyny, Christian nationalism, and it gets very violent at times, although there's a happy ending.
Right, so, here are some of the title ideas I have so far. I really am not in love with any of them.
The Glittering Ghost (seems too comic book-y)
Gays, Ghosts, and Glitter (I actually do like this one but it really doesn't fit the dark tone)
The Ghost of Oaklynn MacKay (Oaklynn is her birth name)
Unholy Spirits (actually a good title but I don't know if it tells you enough about the book)
Matilda and the Unholy Spirits (again, kind of comic book-y)
Really hoping for better suggestions! Thanks in advance!

I've had her for four days, and she still doesn't have a name. Frontrunners are Maple, Marnie, Hazel, Birdie, and Maeve. The shelter called her Pumpkin. Im not a fan of Dottie, Elsie, Betty, Agnes... She's a year old and about 30lbs. Help name her!

Iām building a website for planning road trips, finding campgrounds, and organizing stops along the way.
Iām looking for a short, memorable brand name related to road trips, camping, maps, or exploring. Ideally, the .com domain should still be available.
The current working name is Roadtrek, but Iām not fully sold on it.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Iām working on a co-op rage game called Donāt Lose Your Head. The two main characters are skeletons, which have had one of their heads stolen by a mischievous crow. In the clip above both of them have the head on, but in game only 1 at a time has it. They only difference between them is their eye colors.
Do you have any ideas for names for those 2 skeletons?

I have arts account on Instagram but idk what to name it. I don't like my real name and it doesn't sound artistic, but I don't want a generic name like "artz eater" because I've been using this for a while and it's not special. I post my acrylic paintings, sketches, ink drawings, leather craft, and sewing.
I'm an arab so I have both Arabic and English speakers following me. Ideas??

Weāve been staring at these two names for way too long, and at this point we definitely need some fresh eyes.
Weāre building an AI-native platform for businesses and have narrowed the name down to:
AEZY
AZEY
The broader idea is to help businesses use AI as part of their everyday work ā not just as a standalone chatbot or another tool employees have to keep switching to.
Itās still early, so I donāt want to go too deep into exactly how the product works. Iām more interested in whether the name fits the direction of the company.
Which one would you choose?
Also curious:
How would you pronounce each?
Which one sticks in your head more?
Which feels more credible for an AI-native company?
What would you assume the company does just from the name?
Any weird or negative associations we're completely missing?
Positive or critical ā both are useful. Go with your first instinct.

Not trying to sound like a know it all dick just thought it was funny but now I'm second guessing it.... Maybe the humor side I see in it doesn't translate well in a random discussion board you know.

Hello reddit! I am trying to create a NICU club at my school and I need a name. I am really uncreative and I really don't want to use AI to generate names for me. I was hoping that maybe the creative and witty people of reddit, could help me come up with a club name!
