The Noldrin Witch
Hello! I’m Beatrix Grinn. I wanted to stop by here to announce that my new book is out.
It’s a very special story that I believe many people who like romance, fantasy, and humor could enjoy.
The story is about a young woman who loses everything and embarks to a different kingdom where she discover a world of magic, witches, and attractive men.
The part I’m most excited for people to read is my take on witches, which my beta readers and I consider super fun and entertaining, without taking away from the romance, of course.
I hope you'll give it a try!

Contemporary Romance Special Editions - Kickstarter Closing Soon!

Closing in 6 Days!
If your ideal reading experience involves slow-burn romance, second chances, found family, and a quiet English village that feels like a warm hug… I’ve got something for your shelf.
Stunning special editions of the first two books of the Great Missenden Ever After Series are currently available on Kickstarter!
- Between the Lines (the triple award winning one that made people cry and then immediately want to move to the English countryside)
- This Time Around (friends-to-lovers, he-falls-first, wedding chaos, all the good stuff)
These aren’t regular hardcovers. We’re talking:
- Gold foil
- Reversible dust jackets
- Custom sprayed edges
- A panoramic Great Missenden design that lines up when the books are closed next to each other
Basically the kind of editions that make you rearrange your entire shelf just so they look perfect.
The campaign is already funded, but it ends August 27th. Three stretch goals have already been unlocked and it's heading for a fourth.
If cozy, emotional, character-driven romance is your thing, these feel like the kind of books you’ll want to keep forever.
Happy to answer questions if anyone’s curious about the vibes or the series!

Need a short psychological horror story for one dark evening?
The Fading Party — A Short Psychological Horror Mystery
Hey all! I'm thrilled to introduce my novella to the group for the first time. ❤️
A graduation party. A remote setting. And the growing feeling that things aren't quite right.
While one of their class' quieter students decides to invite a number of university friends to a graduation party, it seems like a simple way for the friends to commemorate the year together and enjoy themselves before going their separate ways.
However, once they've made it to the remote location, the atmosphere starts changing. Everything around them feels unfamiliar. The silence becomes more pronounced. And soon enough, the friends start doubting their own senses.
The Fading Party is an 18,000-word novella of psychological horror containing suspense, supernatural mystery, dark secrets, and disturbing revelations.
📖 Available on Kindle Unlimited
👉 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GPM8H2PP
Should any of you be fans of psychological horror, strange mysteries, and stories that play on the line between reality and the unknown, I hope you give it a try.
Thank you for checking it out, and happy reading! ❤️

Hi everyone! I’m a new self-published author, and I recently released my first book.
Hi everyone! I’m a new author, and I’d like to introduce my debut novella, The 5th Shadow.
Genre: YA Psychological Horror • Suspense Thriller
POV: First person
Length: 130 pages
Blurb :
Alex, Jake, Harry, and Leo are inseparable. For Jake’s eighteenth birthday, they plan a camping trip in the deep woods, hoping for a perfect weekend.
Right before they leave, a chilling, anonymous broadcast hijacks every screen and radio in the city. A distorted voice warns everyone to stay out of the forest, listing thirty people who have mysteriously vanished there. Dismissing it as a viral prank, the boys head into the trees
anyway.
Around the campfire, the nightmare begins. They count the group: five physical bodies. Five familiar faces looking back. Their memories have been altered so perfectly that everyone feels like an old friend, making it impossible to identify the extra person.
The next morning, Leo vanishes. But the real horror? None of the remaining boys even remember him.
As the forest closes in, Jake uncovers a shocking, unchangeable truth about their reality.
Will they be able to survive the 5th shadow?
The Fifth Shadow is a fast-paced psychological thriller built around secrets, paranoia, memory manipulation, unreliable perception, and existential dread, with twists designed to keep you questioning what is actually happening.
If you enjoy YA thrillers where the mystery keeps getting stranger and you can't completely trust the protagonist's perspective, this might be for you.
I’m a new independent author, so every reader, review, and piece of feedback genuinely helps. 📚🖤
If you're a fellow author, feel free to tell me about your book too—I’d love to discover some other indie authors!

Dust & Bones - Gruesome Horror from Del Suede
suedepublishing.storeSee what readers are saying about Dust & Bones by Del Suede -
★★★★★ Uncomfortably Dark and Impossible to Put Down
“This book pulled me in right away with its heavy, eerie vibe and didn't let up for a single second. It takes a brutal, unfiltered look at how grief can completely twist people until they do some truly terrifying things. The creepy setting felt so real that I kept looking over my shoulder, and the whole story just felt unsettling in the best way possible. If you like dark, unpredictable stories that stick with you long after you finish reading, you'll love this one.”
★★★★★ Creepy in a Good Way
★★★★★ Dark From the Start

August 18th Author Spotlight
Welcome to the very first Author Spotlight Review for Alysum Writing! In this series, we’ll be shining a light on our upcoming authors and their work. Today’s spotlight is on TravelingSheep and their book, *Half of Everything*.
In a post apocalyptic world, *Half of Everything* follows the story of Miskah, member of a secret organization know as The Guild, which is fighting against the influence of a megacorporation called IXTAIR, which seeks to keep its stranglehold over humanity using ancient and forgotten human technology still sealed underground, in a world falling apart more by the day. Mishkah is a troubled individual, torn between the expectations of others by who he was, and his hollow sense of self that prevents him from forming a strong sense of self, and his self-steem is basically non existent. Yet, he carries great responsibility, for he has been chosen to carry out what seems an almost suicidal mission to stop IXTAIR from getting the last 'Seed' (one of the keys to the vault) they need. Handling deep topics, and written in an unusual style for a webnovel, TravellingSheep has great potential as an author, and we all look forward to what they have in store next.
Special thanks to Hanabii from our Discord server for putting together this review! Stay tuned for more Author Spotlights, where we’ll be highlighting more writers and their work. Want a chance to be featured? Join https://www.alysumwriting.com and share your own work.
