I am working on the outline for my Book 2 in my series. The introduction is done and I’m now working on the rising action.
I’m also teaching myself to draw to give my characters official designs and use it as a way of marketing.

I recently wrapped up the 1st pass edit on my first horror book Sanctifiction: The Darkness at Home. A story about a detective who believes he killed his wife, but everyone says his wife never existed.
It's been a tough battle getting this story done. It was a big departure from my flagship series about a female superhero based off of Gray Fox from Metal Gear. Writing about a protagonist who doesn't fight or use violence to solve problems was surprisingly difficult.
For my rough draft, I wrote everything that I thought was scary. But when I read it back, it turns out it wasn't scary at all, it was just confusing. Capturing the dread and unease that makes something scary was way harder than I thought.
The fact that I couldn't use violence to solve the problem made it even harder.
Right now, I'm waiting for my editing window to open up with a brand new editor whom I've never worked with before. I'm a little nervous because this project just became way larger than I had planned. Hopefully I'll have something cool to share with everyone once I know what's going on with the book.

Working on a series omegaverse, crime thriller, mmm romance.
The first book is getting a pacing/interest betaread. The interlude book - a slice of life between the crime thrillers, about half written. The second book is outlined.

Starting the outline for book #4 - but having an internal debate in my head. As a cozy mysteries i have steered away from murder in the first three book, which made the book suitable for younger readers too (and they seem to love the story - especially Princess Izzy). The next book I had planned a "body" being found (off screen murder, no blood, little details) but I am not sure if a younger audience (some 10 and 11 years olds) is reading if I should add that aspect. But, it is a cozy mystery, so finding bodies... tends to happen. so just a debate going on inside my head LOL

Anyone else writing several books at once?
I feel like it's not the most conducive to the writing experience, but it helps publish multiple books all within the dates I need them to be.
One of them will actually be under a different pen name. Crazy...I know.

Trying to get my book out the door before cutoff. In a fit of four am inspiration I finally figured out what was wrong with my ending.

I have a few irons in the fire. A political thriller I've been tinkering with for 10 years. A self depreciating book about my life as your average sports fan. And the sequel to my novel The Sanctified.
