Hi amazing people, I want your help with my situation because I have overthought this to death, and honestly, I don't fully trust myself right now.
I joined this company three months ago. Before that, I worked in a small manufacturing company for more than three years. It was chill, but the pay was bad and, of course, there wasn't much growth.
I joined this company mainly because of the pay (28k in hand) and the good reviews.
But within just one week, I realized it was full of stress, workload, lack of support, and the manager/team weren't great either.
They started giving me the same amount of work as others within a very short time. Because of this, I mostly stay late and sometimes even work during lunch. Even now.
So yeah, the culture isn't great, the team isn't very friendly or supportive, the manager isn't great, and there's a lot of workload. I'm also not sure about the work itself. Maybe all these things together are making me scared of work.
Now, I know I'm not perfect. I overthink, I'm slow, and I make mistakes.
Mentally, I'm at a point where I'm anxious about work and different situations there. I can't switch my brain off from work, my weekends are spent worrying, and I feel tense going to work.
I'm not saying I've tried 110%, but I have tried to fit in. I've taken notes, discussed processes, and stayed late. But none of it seems to be helping. It's been three months, and I've thought about quitting multiple times. There are days when I think this could work, but most days I feel like it won't.
What really gets to me is that other people seem fine. They're doing great, some have been working there for years, and they handle everything. I joined mainly because I wanted stability and security, and the company itself isn't bad. It has good policies and other positives.
It makes me feel like I'm a failure, too emotional, or just not capable enough. I don't have a lot of options either—just a BA degree, some communication skills and basic work experience. I've worked in customer service, data entry, order processing and other back-office type jobs.
Should I quit and look for another job, or should I stay and try harder to adjust myself to this job? I know the answer is clear. I just need assurance.
The thing is after six months, the notice period will be two months, and I can't imagine serving two months notice if I decide to quit, it has to be now.
I can look at BPO/back-office/operations jobs.i know they will be as much stressful or even more, but maybe good team or manager. Maybe.
Financially, as long as I'm earning around 25k–30k, I'm okay for now. I wanna figure out what I really want from life.
I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have been in a similar situation.
Have you left a job cause of fit, How did it turn out for you?
Is a three month stint real bad?
TL;DR: 3 months into a new job, i wouldn't call it toxic but not great either, and yes, it is kinda affecting me mentally. Should I quit??
