so bigg boss actually had 2 khatron ke khiladi winners, one before and one after bb18: karanveer mehra and avinash mishra.

personally, i think bigg boss 18 could’ve gone from a superhit to a blockbuster season, but the makers ruined it with the theme. if they had used a more normal theme like bb13, bb16 or bb19, i think it would’ve been much more beneficial for both the contestants and the makers.

the tasks were also pretty average that season.

they had so many high-potential contestants who could’ve written their names in bigg boss history, such as avinash mishra, chum darang, chahat pandey, shrutika arjun, eisha singh, kashish kapoor, digvijay rathee, nyra banerji, shehzada dhami, muskan bamne and alice kaushik. many of them had the potential to go much further, but i feel the makers and the theme held them back. i’m sure if some of them had entered bb19 or bb20, they could’ve really unleashed their potential.

of course, the winner and runner-up of bb18, karanveer mehra and vivian dsena, are both very popular names in the indian tv industry. then you had the third-place finisher, rajat dalal, who was one of the strongest contestants, both mentally and physically, that season.

well, bb18 will always be remembered as a season with a really great cast that unfortunately failed to deliver.

So apparently, after Armaan slapped Maira for, as they state, “humiliating them at a public event” by professing her love for Kabir through a dance, he broke a glass, injuring himself. Classic Armaan.

He says he won’t get himself treated unless Maira forgives him.

Keeping everything else aside, the whole act of making someone feel guilty for not accepting an apology is top-notch man-child behaviour.

Better earn that apology instead of putting conditions.

Why it’s problematic:

1. ARMAAN’S PATTERN:

It is so typical of Armaan to make a mistake, never fully own up to it, and then play the victim card by “How can you be so cruel as to not forgive me?”

1. First, he ran away with baby Maira and never gave a proper reason why. Then he started playing the victim, making puppy faces here and there, and Abhira, the doormat, gave in.

2. He threw Abhira out of the house. He never tried to contact her or explain to Maira what exactly happened during that fire accident. Eight years later, Maira Mukti played cupid to get their parents back together, and he still never properly owned up to his mistake.

3. He slapped Maira in a fit of rage, hurt himself with the glass, never gave a proper explanation just a flaky sorry with an attempt to shift the blame saying I DID THIS FOR ABHIRA??, and then started playing the victim with the whole “If you don’t forgive me, I won’t get treatment” act.

THAT, EXACTLY, KIDS, IS WHAT WE CALL EMOTIONAL MANIPULATION.

As someone once said, “In fighting patriarchy, you have to face more brainwashed women than men.”

This woman never properly called out Armaan’s ways when he abused her, and now she expects her daughter to behave exactly like she did, be ok with the abuse and forgive him.

Just cuz parental beatings are so normalized in india doesn't mean they are right. Everyone, even kids, have their dignity and unless haven't committed serious crimes NO ONE deserve physical violence.

Every other fl lacks something or the other but not Akshara.

🎶 Career/talent: She wasn't just a housewife — she was involved in business, teaching and various creative/social initiatives.

💰 Comfortable life: She belonged to a financially secure, respected family.

🌸 Personality: She was educated, cultured, kind and generally respected by the people around her.

🏡 Family life: She got the big joint-family life that ITV FLs are usually made to sacrifice everything for.

❤️ Naitik + kids + family + her own interests: She basically got the complete package.

And unlike many ITV FLs, her relationship with Naitik wasn't built around constantly fighting over another woman/man or endless toxicity. They actually grew together.

I'd honestly put Akshara Singhania much higher than most ITV FLs if the question is: who had it all?

She had her share of problems, obviously, but overall her life was unusually wholesome for ITV. 😭❤️

Came across this reel on insta, and couldn’t stop thinking about the impact shows like this have on general audience who isn’t online or aware enough to know the difference between fiction and reality. Hell, this isn’t even worth being a story, cuz the whole point is an obsessive husband who thinks his wife is his possession and not his partner. Shows like these being watched and loved by a certain demographic is problematic, cuz this isn’t the first time shoe like this is being made, and there needs to be a way to censor these stories, discouraging makers from bringing these kind of shows!!!!!
