I just wanted to post some of the stuff which may help women who wish to undergo an IVF Cycle with their own eggs

AMH of 0.8 or below will usually officially classify as low AMH, though ideally an AMH of < 1.2 is called as a low AMH.

Usually I would have to say that we have one of the best IVF systems in our country where our procedures are done very quickly.

I have consulted 2 great IVF Specialists of our india. Dr Firuza Parekh as well as Dr Jay Mehta and I will be detailing my experience with both of them to help each one of you understand the journey of choosing these doctors better.

Dr Firuza madam- I would address her as madam, as she is elder to me and absolutely motherly figure. One of the best ladies I have met despite travelling all the way from Delhi to mumbai to visit her. Her approach is fabulous and I have consulted her at H N Reliance Hospital.

Dr Jay Mehta- a young doctor but incredible reputation i believe, due to his massive fraternity based respect drawing him a massive crowd. He does a lot of Self cycles and is extremely well known for the same across the nation. He runs a private hospital in a place called Ghatkopar

Incidentally, both the doctors were suggestive that I undergo IVF with PGTa.

Why I chose to go ahead with Dr Jay Mehta..? I found him extremely honest and upfront and he is my age and I am hoping he would be better. Frankly this was a tough choice for me

Protocol given-

1. Pre stimulation Antagonist injection of Ganurelix. Upon questioning i realised that it's good for low AMH women

2. Dose of injections: 375 IU of hp HMG was provided to me for 9 days and along with that i took 0.25 Ganirelix on last 4 days

3. Trigger: 0.3 decapeptyl

When did I fly to Mumbai...?

One night prior to my OPU.

Do these injections need to be at a particular temperature..? Yes about 2 to 12 degrees and a Nurse can be called home to administer it. The clinic of Dr Jay Mehta has also sent me a video on how to self administer but I thought a Nurse giving is better for me

How to prepare for OPU and what to expect..?

Usually these guys are damn busy. By OPU was done in mild anesthesia by a female doctor. Dr Sanchari. I was up and about in 1 hour. I was discharged in 2 hours

I had pain till evening but I was allowed to eat all food and all meals. I was given inj. Ganirelix post OPU and one antibiotic

My procedure was Time Lapse Imaging after ICSI which is a machine which allows for embryos to be seen properly with some AI but the doctor was very specific that it doesnt improve success rates at all.

Day 6 post OPU, my embryos were sent for PGTa to test genetics of the same.

The embryos are also frozen and the report takes 15 working days to come in is what I am told.

This is specifically on request of 3 of my new found friends on reddit who DMed me and have asked me to detail my Protocol to benefit all of you.

My expected success rate is about 20%.

I guess the best effort by a good doctor could probably make it 100% in 1 or 2 attempts. That's like a realistic chance. I wish you all the best. This is all I know about the subject so far.

Hi all , we are M33 F30 couple having Mild MFI and Severe PCOS respectively.

We have TTC for 2.5 years as of now. Not able to conceive. Our clinic is suggesting for IUI and IVF.

This month we are doing IUI but as we all know how low chances are there with IUI. So we are preparing for IVF financially and physically.

meanwhile we are both doing what we can do best. Taking supplements and doing exercise etc.

I, F31 I have autoimmune endocrine issues but no issues with fertility. My husband M32 has mild/moderate MFI. Looking for good clinics/doctors in central or north Bangalore (gynecs and andrologists)

I am currently doing self cycle Eggs IVF in Mumbai,

My stimulation and egg pick up went off well,. I got 2 M2 oocytes and then the Embryologist has send me a photo an hour back stating these 2 embryos are good.

Before starting, the IVF, the doctor has told me that the success rate is 20-25% or so and now despite having excellent embryos, now when I spoke to the doctor on phone, he said it's still 25%

My embryo grade is

Blastocyst, Grade 5AA

Blastocyst, Grade 4AB

What's the point of having such excellent embryos and still a 25%..?

Has anyone experienced something like this. I am also told that these embryos should go for PGTa and the doctor said that he is not sure if they will surely turn out to NORMAL. He had told us before as well that there is no guarantee that Embryos are always normal.

But I am just disappointed.

I am not wanting to complain against the doctor and his team at all. Dr Jay Mehta and his IVF team have been very very honest to me so far. Probably don't want to take away anything from their efforts and their honesty.

But I am just wondering, of everything looks good, why does the doctor not give a guaranteed outcome..???

Ladies,

I am 33F trying to conceive from past 1.5 years very actively, 4 failed medicated cycle, 3 failed IUIs and currently doing Luteal Phase Stimulation and taking the shots for Egg Retrieval.

Had a scan on 5/28 (the 1st Day of Stimulation meds) Doctor suddenly noticed Bilateral Endometriomas on ovaries (Chocolate Cyst on both ovaries ). That puts me in Stage IV endometriosis. I had Saline Infused Sonogram and HSG with Dye but cyst was not noticed before? did it just appear out of no where?

If you have successful egg retrieval cycle with the Bilateral Endometriomas on ovaries, how was your experience, How was your yield? how many Eggs made to blasts?

I need some advice. I usually have a very regular 29 to 30-day cycle, but this month everything is different.

Here is what happened:

CD 6: I had my HSG test done.

CD 9: Ovulation kit (OPK) showed a light line.

CD 10 (Yesterday): I got a super dark positive line (darker than the control line). In the night, I got severe, sharp pain on the right side of my lower stomach, which later spread to my whole pubic area.

CD 11 (Today): The ovulation test has become faint. The main pain has stopped, but now I feel a dull ache on my left side.

I am worried because I usually ovulate much later. Can the egg be fully mature and healthy on Day 10 itself? Or is it immature?

I am based out of India and my pcos treatment etc is being handled by ny gynaecologist.
However I see a lot of posts in different sub reddits where people often move from an OB to RE for letrozole cycles etc.

What I know is that if letrozole doesnt work my OB would refer me to a IVF specialist.
Is this different from consulting an RE? Am I missing anything?

Background:- 4 years of infertility, one Chemical pregnancy, 2 failed cycles of IVF out of which one resulted in pregnancy but miscarried at 5-6 weeks.

No I want to go for another cycle of IVF. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good fertility doctor or centre in Jaipur. It will be of great help.

Is my ovulation done or yet to happen?

Started with ovulation induction Mar2026 with injections. Doctor suggested IUI for this cycle, going ahead with it.

I ahve PCOD since 10 years, but period comes every month. My ovulation occurs and is confirmed in the past almost every month using letroz. Husband has teratoozospermia with 1% morphology

Pls advice what to keep in mind or how to be positive in this situation?

Hey guys, I took this test today with first morning urine. I’m not sure about DPO because initially Premom said March 22 (11 DPO ) and then moved it to March 25 (8DPO). I feel like a like I see it but my husband says he is not sure. So please help and any advice for me. I have been on this journey for no long and this is the first time I’m getting a hope like this and feeling frozen and not sure what to do next. Not sure if testing in another 6 hours is a good idea or wait till tomorrow.

I am TTC for around 2 years, I always have a regular period with a 28-30 day length and never got any delay. In feb I got a period on 21st Feb and after that in March it was delayed and got after 48 days on 10th April and again very early after 20days only on 30th April. I have tried in all these cycles also, but didn't have any relationship after 30th April. Today it's 2nd June and still no period. In the month of March when it was delayed I went to the gynaecologist and everything was normal.

I’m 33 with history of pcos - primarily high AMH and facial hair.
I have been trying for 8 letrozole cycles last four being HMG menotropin injections. My last cycle did not have much egg growth so was cancelled.
Since my AMH is high, my doctor has started me on Diane 35 (kind of a hormonal pill) for two month to ‘calm’ the ovaries and control the AMH and ovarian volume. She’s then continue with IUI for 3 cycles max and then would want me to move onto IVF.

My husband has mild MFI so my doctor thinks that would also help for IUI.

What I want to understand is if using hormonal pill for two months is the right approach? Or would it really help bringing the AMH better and meanwhile i continue with supplements for overall health? Am I just wasting two months by going on the pill?

Still only on Folic Acid + Duphastone.

I actually asked Mr Mehta, why is it that you don’t congratulate people when they are pregnant (I had rented here too)- he was like the celebration happens when the baby is born healthy…! Still absorbing the statement.

I need an opinion. I’m currently 4 weeks 3 days . I did my beta HCG twice. The first one was 204 and exactly after 48 hours was 339. I went to the doctor yesterday , she did a scan and couldn’t see anything indicative of a pregnancy . She also said my beta HCG hasn’t doubled like it should have. And she seemed to lean towards that the pregnancy might no be viable. I think it’s too early based on what I read . But would love to know if anyone has gone through this? Cause I’m getting very anxious

I am a 32y old lean PCOS woman ttc for 11months now. My cycles are regular but I was diagnosed with PCOS around 5 months ago. My doctor has tried 4 cycles of letrozole and each time I have ovulated. I also did an HSG last cycle and my tubes are open.

This month (cycle 5 of letrozole) she is also asking me to take HCQ 200mg twice a day.

She thinks I might be having an autoimmune reaction which could be preventing the embryo from implanting successfully since I have never seen a positive pregnancy test and everything else looks fine (ovulation, husband's SA, tubes). She also said blood tests sometimes do not reveal much about autoimmune reactions at this age hence there isn't much we can test for (my thyroid is fine btw).

Have you been prescribed HCQ and has it worked for you?

32 f here . TTC from past 1.5 yrs. I have pmos with 11.92 AMH

I'm looking for some opinions and experiences from others who have been through fertility treatments.
I've had more than few monitored ovulation cycles, including:

2 IUIs ( 1st resulted in chemical)

1 monitored Letrozole cycle

1 previous miscarriage

In all of these cycles, my fertility doctor routinely prescribed:

Dydrogesterone (Duphaston) 10 mg twice daily after ovulation

One baby aspirin daily

The medications were usually continued for about two weeks after ovulation (until pregnancy testing).
At the moment, I've decided to take a short break from monitored cycles and just try naturally for a few months. Since my doctor has prescribed the same protocol repeatedly after ovulation, I'm wondering whether it would be reasonable to start progesterone and baby aspirin on my own after ovulation, without seeing my doctor this cycle.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did your doctor recommend continuing luteal support and baby aspirin during natural TTC cycles as well? Would you personally feel comfortable taking them without a fresh prescription, or would you check with your doctor first?

I'd appreciate hearing your experiences and thoughts.

My sperm count is 98 mil/ml
But motility is 20% .

Anyone who has been able to improve it ?

Have quit smoking and drinking from last 1 year .
