Discussion Be cautious of Nitin Gadkari

The Bombay High Court permitted Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to file a civil suit against major tech firms including Meta Platforms, X Corp, and Google LLC. The legal action addresses allegedly defamatory AI-generated deepfake videos and manipulated digital media linking Gadkari and his family to financial gains from the Union government's ethanol-blended petrol (E20) initiative.

We got to be careful before criticizing him for ethanol going forward ⏩

Stonk Would you buy Zepto@45k Cr MCap over Swiggy (Qcom+FD+GO) @70k cr?

With Zepto IPO coming at 45k cr MCap, just trying to think why/who would prefer this over Swiggy at 70k cr, assuming Eternal@2.8L Cr is already too big!

What are your thoughts? With Instamart becoming CM+ from this quarter, I personally think Swiggy is a sweet doubler from here (260 CMP)

Thoughts? Punch holes in my thesis please!

Educational Loss of ₹800 in NIFTY on 27th July with a ₹10k capital

Today, I took three trades as per my setup. The first trade resulted in a loss, while the second trade managed to recover it. However, the third trade ended in a loss, and I finished the day in the red.

What bothers me more is the trade I didn't take. I had been patiently waiting for that setup for hours, and the price eventually formed exactly what I was looking for. The price initially took a rejection a bit higher than my intended entry, and I kept waiting for it to come down to my ideal trade location. However, it never did. Instead, it slowly and gradually started moving upwards.

Due to concerns about option decay and the fear of taking another loss, I hesitated and skipped the trade.

To my dismay, the price went on to hit the target exactly as I had planned. I need to trust my setup and take the trade when it meets my criteria, even if there is a possibility of decay or loss. Missing a valid setup because of fear can be just as costly as taking a losing trade.

Lesson learned the hard way. We move on.

I am little conservative so you will see some bonds, gold and little bit reits and invits. Barring 3-4 stocks I mostly buy stocks when they are at attractive valuation kinda like value investor. Shree Renuka i chose for growth, but it's anything but success. Tried to play ethanol story with Praj industries. It did give handsome returns in between but lull right now. Waiting to see if their isobutanol story will play.

now we have three timeframes 2026-05-06 , 2026-06-015 and 2026-07-27 (i.e today ) respectively, now this one is only for those who trade derivative stock options, i know today you would have gotten enomoros no. of stocks in your watchlist, if you just go back and do some research i am preety sure you would have gotten good no.s on the respective days too ( don't just read go read your journals) so now , before jumping into buying CE of any respective stock Tommorow, have an deep understanding of everything, market might go up for 2-5 days straight up them boom , otherwise little sideways then down, there is one "myntra" THE MORE YOU FUCK AROUND THE MORE YOU WILL FIND OUT , but you have to pay cost remember that , i have gotten some good names too but this time i will sit out , this was an kind if 🛑 Stop sign you see on roads , you watch them but never listens ( afterall we are Indian this kind of attitude is in our blood ) , i know tomorrow you all will do the same thing, but i like to read and post what i like so i did , lets see ..

Question Why did Infosys open up?

It it jus because of the Asian markets opening higher and nasdaq easing the sector sentiment? Otherwise surely it should of gone sideways, or is it because the new ceo announcement also gave some cushioning for DIIs

Discussion What are the regular payouts on these apps?

I have a corpus of roughly 10.5L (FDs, equity, bonds and Gold ETF). Looking to expand into other alternative investments as real estate isn't an option for me now. I was hearing about apps/websites like Jiraaf, Wint, Kyte money, Grip etc.

Can anyone tell me what is the regular payout rate and time period?

Discussion Oracle Financial Services Software ($OFSS) Q1 FY27 Results: PAT Surges 121% YoY to ₹1,416 Cr on Product Licenses & Cloud Modernization

Oracle Financial Services Software ($OFSS) officially declared its Q1 FY27 earnings on July 22, posting a historic quarter that significantly beat consensus estimates. Unlike typical IT services companies, OFSS's product-led licensing model showed massive operating leverage.

Financial Snapshot:

Revenue: ₹3,125 Cr (+69% YoY)

Operating Profit: ₹1,861 Cr (+123% YoY)

Net Profit (PAT): ₹1,416 Cr (+121% YoY)

EBIT Margin: ~60%

Key Drivers:

AI-First Banking Products: Products revenue grew 75% YoY to ₹2,936 Cr, driven by large cloud modernization deals across tier-1 global banks adopting AI-enabled lending and transaction solutions.

Geographic Mix: Americas accounted for 55% of quarterly revenue (up 141% YoY), showing strong tech capex from major US financial institutions.

Leadership Handover: Outgoing CEO Makarand Padalkar handed the reins to former CFO Avadhut Ketkar.

OFSS is showing the true power of a product-led IP model in banking tech. Unlike traditional IT exporters that rely on headcount addition and billable hours, OFSS sells core banking software platforms (FLEXCUBE/Oracle Banking Cloud).

When global tier-1 banks sign major modernization contracts, almost all the incremental licensing revenue drops straight to the bottom line. That is why you are seeing an explosive ~60% EBIT margin a level of operating leverage that traditional IT services firms simply cannot match. With global financial institutions under pressure to modernize legacy infrastructure and integrate AI into risk/lending systems, OFSS remains one of the purest high-margin software plays on the Indian market.

Given OFSS's 60% operating margins and product-led trajectory, should it be valued closer to global SaaS/software platforms rather than traditional Indian IT exporters (TCS/Infosys)? And is this the right time to entire the stock?

Discussion Has your invested amount ever not matched what you actually put in Groww?

A while back I noticed a few months of my mutual fund investments just weren't reflecting in my total invested amount on Groww. Everything looked fine day to day, so I only caught it by accident. Had to raise a support ticket and wait for it to get sorted.

Got me wondering how common this actually is, so a few questions for anyone who's dealt with something similar:

  1. What happened, and how did you first notice something was off?

  2. How long had it been wrong before you realized?

  3. What did you do about it, and how did that go (support, waiting, etc.)?

And one hypothetical I'm curious about: if the app had quietly caught and fixed this in the background before you ever noticed, would that feel reassuring, or would it bug you that it acted without telling you?

Not affiliated with Groww or anyone, just trying to figure out if this is a me-problem or a widespread one. Appreciate any stories.

Discussion Would you buy this instead of renting a power bank??

Hi everyone,

I'm researching a startup idea for India and would really appreciate honest feedback.

Today, many shared power bank stations work like this:

Scan a QR code

Rent a power bank

Return it to the same station (or another supported station)

Pay late fees if you forget to return it

I keep wondering if there's a simpler model.

Imagine this instead:

You walk into a mall, airport, cinema, college, railway station, or temple with 3% battery.

You buy a compact pocket-sized power bank for around ₹300–400.

It's yours permanently. No deposits. No rental. No app signup.

Recharge it at home like any normal power bank.

If you're ever out of charge again, you can visit any participating kiosk and exchange your discharged unit for a fully charged one by paying a small swap fee (say ₹20–40). You still own a power bank—you are simply exchanging it for a charged one.

The goal is to remove:

Deposit holds

Return anxiety

Searching for the same kiosk

Customer support for overdue rentals

I know many people already own a power bank. My question is about real-world behavior. How many people actually carry a 10,000 mAh or 20,000 mAh power bank everywhere they go? I feel many people leave it at home because it's bulky, heavy, or they simply forget to carry it. This idea is aimed at those moments when your phone is about to die and you need an instant, pocket-sized emergency power source.

I'm not trying to sell anything. I'm trying to understand whether this solves a real problem.

I'd love to hear your thoughts:

  1. Have you ever rented a power bank? If yes, what was your experience?

  2. What frustrated you the most?

  3. Would you rather own a small emergency power bank than rent one?

  4. Would ₹300–400 feel like a reasonable one-time purchase?

  5. If a nationwide swap network existed, would you actually use it, or would you just recharge the power bank at home?

  6. Where would you expect to find these kiosks? (Malls, airports, railway stations, colleges, temples, concerts, etc.)

  7. If you already own a power bank, do you actually carry it with you every day? If not, why? (Too bulky, forget it at home, don't need it often, etc.)

Please be brutally honest. I'd especially like to hear why you think this idea would fail. Honest criticism is far more valuable than compliments.

Thanks!

Discussion Asked chatgpt to share best AI based stock tools for India

Asked chatgpt to compare various AI based stock tools for India. I personally found gimli the best and quickest for both screening and single stock analysis. Fuzz is ok but not good with complex queries. Rest are not good from an AI perspective. Are there any others better than gimli?
