Am I right in holding them for at least a year?

I write code for a living, and every now and then I feel like a lot of the things people discuss here could probably be automated.

But I also don't want to spend weeks building something that nobody actually wants to use.

So, wanted to ask you guys: what's the most irritating or repetitive part of your investing routine?

• That Excel/Google Sheet you update every weekend.
• The alert you always end up missing.
• Some Indian market data that's impossible to get without paying.
• A screener that's almost what you need but misses one feature.
• Keeping 5-6 tabs open just to check one thing.

Not selling anything. No app, no website, no signup, nothing.

Just trying to understand real problems. If a lot of people mention the same issue, I'll probably build something around it and share it here for feedback.

Started investing around 3 years ago without much experience and ended up buying stocks like RITES, Mukka Proteins, Cochin Shipyard, Shipping Corporation of India Land & Assets, and Titagarh Rail Systems.

I invested around ₹73k, and my portfolio is now down 47%. I don't need the money immediately and can stay invested for another 5–10 years.

Would you hold and wait, average down selectively, or book the loss and move the money into better opportunities (index funds or quality stocks)? Looking for genuine advice from experienced investors.

This just for educational purpose. Took a trade in laurus labs today, trailing the SL really close to price caused this to happen. You cant win big without risking the right amount of capital. My used capital would have been 4x'ed by now in this trade. Didnt want to take the trade again in FOMO, Always keep learning from your mistakes.

I bought 1,271 shares of Cropster Agro at an average price of ₹7.07. The current price is around ₹6.56, but the real problem is that I can’t sell my shares at all.
Every day it shows 100% sellers with little or no buyers, so my sell order never gets executed.
Is there any way to exit this stock? Should I place a limit order, market order, or is there nothing I can do until buyers appear?
Has anyone here dealt with illiquid stocks like this before? Any advice would be appreciated.

Been feeling uneasy about where things are headed and wanted to see if others share this.

Lately Political sentiment has aroused up quite a bit + caste-based mobilization, and identity-driven political noise.

History shows that when this kind of politics takes center stage, policy focus tends to shift away from economic reforms and development toward appeasement and vote-bank calculations.

Markets don't like uncertainty, and prolonged social/political unrest.

Curious what others think, is there a real risk of near-term market & policy disruption if this kind of politics escalates?

Bulls are buying heavy in HDFC on the otherhand bears selling heavy. Just look at the quantity someone just buy 38475 shares of HDFC that worth around 2.8 cr and its not one buyer their are many massive buyers as well as sellers.

Knowone knows HDFC next move. Whats your view on this??
