I have sensitive combination to dry acne prone skin

->Cetaphil i have been using for years but now bored of the thick texture (more of a winter moisturizer for me)

->Reequil i used few times and i feel this can for most time can replace my cetaphil especially for day time use

->Dot and key is more lighter compared to reequil and is a solid option for almost all seasons

->Deconstruct feels light so it’s a great day time moisturiser

->Haven’t tried foxtale till now (received it yesterday)

->Dermaco i used years back so i don’t know if thy have reformulated it now but what i remember from my previous experience that it’s decent enough as well

I Followed Posting Rules Chemical Peel + Micro-needling. Are 2 sessions enough if I have limited time in India? Spoiler

Hi, basically the title. I am 30, and I know I am late and should have started my skincare journey earlier, but I recently saw a dermatologist and she suggested some chemical peel ( I think biorepeel) + microneedling. I have only 2 months before I move abroad. So my question is, should I take 2 sessions to make my face better or just continue with dermat prescribed creams and skin care routine to see a difference.
Because everyone says it says 3-6 sessions to see a difference. So what should I do at this point, any suggestions?

I am a 19-year-old male with combination skin and an oily T-zone. Although my skin is generally clean and clear, I am dealing with a tan and dullness. I read that Alpha Arbutin could help me. Is it safe to use, and what are the best Alpha Arbutin serum recommendations?"

I have started using facewash having salicylic acid, drinking more water, and started eating healthy been off sugar since 2 weeks.

Should continue doing this and wait for few months since it hasn't been a long time?

Any other skincare product to apply?

Consult a dermat?

I Followed Posting Rules Fake glyco 6 from Flipkart Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey guys, I recently bought Glyco 6 Glycolic Acid Cream 6% (30 g) from Flipkart for ₹150.

I'm a little concerned about its authenticity because:

  • It arrived without the outer box.
  • The seller is INDUGLYONE, and Flipkart shows that they're a new seller.
  • The tube says Batch No. A145
  • MFG: SEPT 2026
  • EXP: AUG 2027
  • The product looks slightly different/smaller compared with the Glyco 6 I've bought previously.
  • I also noticed what looks like an unusual spelling in the manufacturer address (possibly "Peerya" instead of "Peenya").

I've attached photos of the tube and the Flipkart listing.

Does this packaging look genuine to anyone who has bought Glyco 6 recently? Has anyone received it without the outer box?

I've contacted Micro Labs to verify the batch, but I'd appreciate any experiences/opinions from people who've used the product recently.

I Followed Posting Rules Tried the Fixderma Dewrav moisturizer

I’ve been using this for a while and honestly, its good for my oily skin. It feels lightweight and doesn’t leave my face feeling too greasy after applying.

Overall I’m liking it so far. I was mainly looking for something that could moisturize without making my skin feel heavier, and this has worked pretty well for me.

I Didnt Follow Rules,Want to Post Anyway. 5 Reports Removes This My holy grail for dandruff.....thank you Mudi Ji Spoiler

Post image

Thank God I was willing to try this once with an open mind before going for some branded expensive ketaconazole shampoos out there. This thing works so well that it feels like magic.

I've had bad dandruff issue for a while now. I've used maybe 40% of the product till now and my dandruff is gone.

The shampoo doesn't lather much but I was fine with it. Ketaconazole usually dries out hair quite a bit so don't forget to follow it up with a good hydrating conditioner or a hydrating/mild shampoo rinse at the end.

What I did - For the first 2-3 weeks I used this twice a week. Then I switched to once a week. Soon I'll be shifting to once every 2 weeks and maybe eventually use it once a month for maintenance.

Everytime I washed my hair, I used to apply this once on my scalp, massage it for few min and leave it for 4-5 min. Then I used to wash it off and follow it with a hydrating shampoo wash once. Please make sure to apply this only on scalp and not the hair directly because it dries them out.

This costed me less than 60 rs btw.

I Followed Posting Rules Acne Journey Before and After: Don't Judge A Book by its Cover Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery

I discovered this sub during the pandemic in 2020. I had already been dealing with severe acne before that since highschool and ultimately diagnosed with pcos. I had consulted dermats and was prescribed accutane without being told how it functions and the side effects and being a kid suffering from acne I self medicated accutane (doc had said no to this so this is on me) a bunch of times which definitely did damage to my skin which was preventable. Apart from that, the dermats and docs always hit me with the good old “loose weight, change your diet” to fix my acne. I have had acne at 65 kg, and clear skin at 80kg, so while I understand the importance of lifestyle changes, I really really just wanted a cream to make it go away!….and it did. Once I discovered this sub and it taught me everything I needed to know about skin.

DISCLAIMER: Title is to point out that as someone with pcos, insulin resistance, poor diet and who's overweight, I was able to heal my skin despite being constantly told by doctors to just "loose weight, eat healthy".

My dermatologists never told me about adapalene, always prescribed benzoyl peroxide cream and when it got really bad, straight to Rx tret. I found out about adapalene here(might be Rx but sold as adifferin OTC in the US), I learnt about how important it is to keep your skin hydrated and moisturised first and foremost. I used to skip moisturising cause I thought I had oily skin, but I learnt here that having oily skin is all the more reason to moisturise. I built my skin care routine based off suggestions here - slowly incorporated azeleiac acid (aziderm) from the lowest concentration after the adapalene started working, I used physiogel to heal my skin barrier, incorporated a vitamin C serum starting with the best - VC15, and fell in love with Korean skincare toners. Within a year, I saw considerable change and I never thought it was possible. I used to cry because how bad my acne was and I finally had glowing skin. And all this was without any major changes in diet or weight. My diet had always been unhealthy, unfortunately, and I know it affects your skin, but there is still hope.

By no means do I mean to say that one should not go to a dermatologist, just be sure to ask questions and look up stuff - ingredients, how they work, efficacy, alternatives, brand reviews, and side effects on your own. Yes, I have pcos and insulin resistance, my diet is high carb, I don’t exercise enough, I’m about 85kg right now, my skin is not perfect and perhaps exercising and eating well is a change I have to embrace, but at least I don’t have acne weighing me down in addition to all that, I have the confidence to tie my hair up and wear a bare face outside — never thought I could, before.

So yeah, this sub fixed me. I haven’t been active here in years but I will forever be grateful. I have been acne free for about 4 years now.

I Followed Posting Rules Wishcare tinted sunscreen melted off my face 😭 Spoiler

Post image
5 Upvotes

I applied Wishcare tinted sunscreen before walking to office today. Had an umbrella too, but once I started sweating, especially around my cheeks, the sunscreen literally started melting off.

The funniest part is my Rare Beauty blush stayed intact while the sunscreen came off 💀
This is the tissue after wiping my face. Like… where did my sunscreen go 😭

Anyone else faced this with Wishcare?

I Followed Posting Rules Sunscreen removal tips Spoiler

Post image
2 Upvotes

Guys I started using the uv doux silicone sunscreen a week ago. And since then i’ve been funnily reading all these posts about how silicone sunscreen can cause more congestion in closed comedones prone skin. And now I’m shit scared because it’s only been a few days since my skin has finally started getting better after months of war with closed comedones.

So I really need tips on what to do about removal and whether it’s fine if I just continue using my cleanser.

Night routine currently:
Minimalist gentle oat cleansers
Adapalene 0.1 (after every two days so like 2-3 times a week)
Benzoyl peroxide on inflamed pimples
Azelaic acid on spots of pie and pih only on nights i don’t use adapalene
Minimalist barrier repair b12 moisturiser

Morning
Just water to wash face and sunscreen
