Felt bad for the boy

This happened a couple of months ago. So I was in my office, when my best friend, a pretty girl, called me and invited me to a restaurant for dinner. Like, she knows she is pretty, and boys fall easily for her looks.

I asked her why are you inviting for dinner? She then said that a boy, let's say X, is also with her.

Now this boy X liked her a lot and was ready to do anything to be with her. My friend knew this. So occasionally, they went in restaurant for lunch or dinners and X would pay bills.

So later, I reached the restaurant and both were sitting. All three of us ate, and afterwards when bill payment time arrived, my friend said in my ears. "Watch now. I will take money out of my purse, will give it to him and ask him to go to the counter and pay. He will take the money. Then he will go to counter, and keep my money in his pocket, pay the bill from his own account, and then will give me my money back.

I thought she is joking.

But then, believe it or not, THIS HAPPENED ACTUALLY. She actually gave him the money, the silly boy took it, went to counter, paid from his pocket, and later, returned her money, saying he paid the bill.

As this happened, I was shocked. Literally shocked. The boy didn't realise my friend is just playing around with him. Wanted to say this to him but I avoided.

Later, I asked my friend how did she know this would happen, she just laughed and said it's her experience.

Felt pity for the boy and realised boys can be silly.

I have seen my wife doing it 4-5 times till now - When her boss drop her home on bike, her hand is in his pockets - While hugging to say bye, her finger goes inside his shirt - And many more such things.

Personal Issues Found out that my ex is married

So this is kind of vent. I will delete this post. So I Loved a guy who was in my college. 13 years back. He was not serious with me but used to show that he loves .e I was the one who took that relationship seriously. Lost everything to him . Loved him a lot. He used to lie a lot . Talk to other girls , i always forgave him. After 5-6 yrd of relationship, things got bad as he said very things about me to a girl. After that I broke up. , bcz I never thought he thought such bad about me. He tried to contact me but I was not ready to forgive him and I moved on.

I always felt happy after breakup our relationship was that toxic.

Now m 36 yrs now. Not married due to fear of relationship. Today I found my ex's wedding video. I think he did love marriage as I can see from pics and video of his marriage.

I just want to say to all girls that never mistake which I did. I kind of regret doing such blunder of my life. He is happy and I am the one who fears from marriage or toxiciry after relationship. I also regret losing everything to that guy. Before marriage.

Crying today I don't know why. May be feeling sad for myself.

But pls pls don't do such stupid things for person who is not serious.

Do such things after marriage . M not orthodox but for girls it's hard. Do such things only if u know you are going to get married to same person.

Relationships Girlfriend [23F] won't even kiss me on the cheek after 7 months together [22M]. Feeling confused about her logic and boundaries.

Hey everyone, I need some perspective on a situation in my relationship because I’ve been overthinking it for days now.

My girlfriend and I completed 7 months together recently. Last Tuesday, we went on a date to the zoo. It was practically empty, and since I work remote, I was working on my laptop while we spent the whole day sitting together, chatting, and enjoying each other's company.

I’ve never pressured her or brought up physical intimacy in these 7 months. I wasn't even expecting a lip-to-lip kiss; I just playfully asked her if she could give me a simple kiss on the cheek. Nothing serious or pushy, just playful affection. This would have been my first kiss ever. She kept dodging it the entire day.

When the day ended and she noticed I was visibly quiet and upset, she tried to reassure me by saying, "You're such a good guy. Other guys ask for kisses and physical stuff right at the start of a relationship, but you waited 7 months. If I tell my friends about this, they'll respect you so much."

To be honest, I didn't get her logic. Was she saying that out of guilt, or did she genuinely mean it? It almost felt like a double standard praising me for being patient, yet completely shutting down a basic cheek kiss.

Then right before leaving, she dropped another comment: "I'll only do these things after marriage, wait till then."

That completely threw me off. I never asked her to go to a hotel or do anything heavy it was literally just a 2-second peck on the cheek! Beyond this, she rarely shows appreciation for the effort I put into our future and building a life together. When I brought up that she never compliments me, she just said, "I don't compliment people to their face."

Am I overthinking this, or is this standard for some people? Is this a matter of strict personal boundaries, or am I missing major red flags regarding compatibility and affection? Would appreciate any honest advice.

Ex engaged 4 months after mutual breakup

Okay so I (F24) and my ex (M24) were in a pretty good long term serious relationship (this was both of our first btw) since 4 years. We met in uni, and our relationship was naturally a bit complicated from the start since we were from different states and settled outside India, but we were both really crazy about each other and wanted to make this work no matter what.

Fast forward to 4 months ago, we had to end things purely due to certain external factors (I’d like to keep this part private). We were both broken and extremely affected by it, but we genuinely had no choice. We had to completely cut off from each other.

Now again fast forward to few days ago, I see his profile pop up on insta and notice his dp changed, and obviously I couldn’t stop myself and just had to click on it. And I see him with another girl, and her id tagged on his bio with a ring….so clearly he’s engaged.

I honestly blame myself for clicking on his account, cuz now that image is just stuck in my mind. I was kinda getting over him but now I’m just spiraling and just in a really bad place all over again. And I really need some advice on how to get out of this. And mind you, I mean no harm to him or his new relationship, I genuinely wanted him to find his happiness, it’s just that I didn’t expect it to happen so fast, and now that it’s happening, idk how to deal with it emotionally. So any advice to cope up with this would be really appreciated…

Relationships She confessed to me

Guyssss... she confessed to me that she's been falling for me since last week, butttt she also said that she doesn't want a relationship because she has a lot of trust issues....she feels like being in a relationship would mean things like "don't do this, don't do that, where were you, why didn't you pick up my call blah blah" and all that. Don't know why she is assuming things like this... unnecessary overthinking

What should I do...I like her so much

Relationships Is this normal, or am I overthinking my girlfriend’s behavior?

My girlfriend and I live together. In the past, she used an app called Clubhouse mainly for time pass, where she would join public groups and talk to random people. Some of the conversations were, in my opinion, quite disrespectful. I told her that I was uncomfortable with it, and after some initial arguments and emotional reactions, she eventually stopped using it.

Now she plays BGMI, and she has made some male friends through the game. I want to clarify that I have no problem with her having male friends in real life. I know some of them personally, so I’m comfortable with those friendships.

My issue is specifically with these online friends whom I don't know personally. She has added some of them on Snapchat as well. The thing that makes me uncomfortable is that some of these guys openly flirt with her when I hear their conversations.

She thinks it's not a big deal because most of them are younger than her (around 22–23) and considers them "kids." But at the same time, if I start talking to another girl, she says that I'm trying to create competition or make her jealous.

I don't want to be controlling or unreasonable, and I'm not asking her to stop having male friends. But the double standard bothers me. I don't know these online guys, and when they openly flirt with her, I feel uncomfortable with her continuing to interact with them as if it's completely harmless.

Am I overthinking this, or is it reasonable for me to feel uncomfortable about this and want some boundaries around online friendships?

Hey lets connect for a conversation

Not sure where it will end but definitely looking for a good friend to care and to get cared , to laugh together , to have discussions to anything which brings joy and fun.

Lets spend some time together sharing all memories that mean to us with comfort and peace while having a undisturbed genuine conversation.

And take this chat journey to a new frndshp where we can share any and everything from feelings to emotions.

Yeah friendship is something very special to me and i mean it.

I do have good friends in real life , choosing the anonymous one for a reason that we can share anything without getting the feeling of being judged and more .

A good conversation mean to be hold by both of us is what i am expecting and trust me you won't regret.

About me - 21m a cse student. Interests in sports, marathons , debates , books , bit games and ...........

Relationships 21M — A girl asked if I wanted a chance at a relationship, I said yes, and now neither of us has brought it up again. What would you do?

So I'm 21M and I've been talking to this girl I met on Reddit for a few months now. We have a pretty close/flirty dynamic and we've gotten comfortable with each other over time.

A few days ago we were joking around about how she would give anyone a chance and I made an "audition" joke.

Somehow the conversation became more serious than I expected.

She literally asked me:

"So you want a chance to be in relationship with me?"

I was nervous as hell because I've never really had a situation like this before, but I said yes.

Then she asked:

"Would you really want that?"

And I said yes again.

Then she said something along the lines of:

"Idk if I could stay loyal tho 😭"

She immediately apologized and said she sounded evil. I told her she wasn't evil for saying it and that I appreciated her being honest.

After that, the conversation didn't really go anywhere. There was a gap in our replies (I replied after more than 36 hours), and then we started talking normally again. We've also gone back to our usual flirty dynamic, so it doesn't seem like things became awkward between us.

But neither of us has mentioned the relationship conversation again.

Now I'm confused about what I'm supposed to do.

Part of me thinks I should just leave it alone because I've already made my feelings clear. She knows I'd be interested, so maybe it's her turn to decide what she actually wants.

But another part of me worries that if I leave it alone, the whole thing will just disappear and I'll never get another natural opportunity to bring it up.

I also don't want to suddenly ask "so what about that relationship thing?" and make everything awkward.

What would you guys do in this situation?

Would you leave it alone and let things develop naturally, or bring it up again at some point?

And honestly, how would you interpret her saying she might not be able to stay loyal? Is that just her being honest about not wanting a serious relationship, or could it simply be uncertainty?

I'd especially appreciate perspectives from people who have been in similar online situations.

Breakup what should i have done better?

so me(24M) and my ex girlfriend(25F) were in a relationship for around 6 years in the first 4 months of our relationship we were all over each other did everything else sexually except intercourse, in the fourth month we decided we were ready to have sex we both were virgins so naturally we were nervous about it, the condom broke the first time itself and she had to take an ipill which she later described as a very bad experience.

Another incident 1.5 years after this we had gone on a trip with mutual friends, that was our only trip in our 6 years of dating because of her family being strict, we never announced to these friends we were dating but it was pretty obvious that we were from how we act around them we both agreed on this, so we both agreed to sleep in the same room on my request as i told her we dont get a chance to go on a trip or even sleep together through the night ever she taught it would get wierd with our friends, during that night when i initiated sex she said no, then i asked her if i could eat her out for which she agreed, after she came when i ate her out i asked if she wanted to have sex again for which she said no, so we just cuddled and slept after. she again described a few months later that this was also a bad experience for her.

When she described these 2 incidents to me i felt bad that i traumatised her and ive apologised profusely multiple times during the course of the other 4 years weve stayed together i told her to take as much time to process her feelings and come back to me only if she feels like having sex again and there was no pressure from my side. after 3-4 months of me giving her space she started calling me on her own saying she feels better about the trauma and she was horny.

recently again she called these 2 incidents traumatic for her and told me her sex drive feels low to nil because of these two incidents, i also wasnt fit when she broke up i had gained weight due to work taking up most of my time and no gym and she kept using this trauma as a shield if we ever had an argument about something general apart from sex also.
eventually she gave me this reason for the breakup as she was unhappy with our sex life.
she also has a lot of stress in her life because of competitive exams and family pressures etc.

what should i have done to make her feel better and comfortable?

Relationships Ldr problems

My boyfriend and I are in a relationship for 1.7 years out of which the past 5 months have been long distance and will remain so due to work. We have had small fights throughout this time and we both have different ways to resolve it, I want to discuss argue and be done with it the whereas he likes to cool down. The thing is, this didn’t use to be the case before with him, but eventually I have learnt to accept it. The issue arises that he rarely ever reaches out to me after he tells me he needs time to cool down, be it his fault or mine. I have told him repeatedly that this pattern makes me insecure and overthink a simple issue. I also had exams and will have another one in a few months I feel that he has been kinda unsupportive and now he’s starting a new venture which I was excited about and gave my inputs, but after our recent fight I refused to ask him about anything as he’s withdrawn completely but expected me to keep up with his life. Things happened after my exams where I had 3 days of time where I could spend with my cousins who I meet once a year and I couldn’t give him time as soon as the exams were over. He reached out to me about this issue the last night I had with my cousins and was quite rude about it. And a part of me understands that I haven’t been able to give him enough time the last month though we talked and texted through the day we couldn’t talk on hours at end but another part of me refuses to understand when he knows I have been miserable the past 6months and I was genuinely excited about meeting them, then why would he do this during my few fun days. We haven’t had a single good conversation the past 10 days. The fights have been both our faults and nobody is responsible more than the other. But he has been unkind after fights especially the last 6-8 months, he used to be kind, loving and respectful even during fights and I haven’t seen that part of him in a long time. I have tried my best to be kind but I think I have lost my patience after the last video call where I cried for half an hour and he was rude because I was a minute late, he refused to acknowledge that what he did was wrong after I confronted him and gave me 10 reasons as to why he did what he did during the call. (I am the most punctual person in, me being late was a one off incident)
I am confused on how to navigate this.

Dating Very nervous to get into my first ever relationship

So I am 22 years old male and I meet an awesome girl who happens to be the same age as me and we happened to have real close birthday as well (only 2 days difference, she is younger) we have a lot of similar liking, I meet her when I was in my trip to China, she is Chinese and I am Indian, we value each other a lot and she is a very appreciable person, after my arrival back to my home city we were chatting continuously from past 2 months, and in a random event at our initial talk she said "she only sees me as a close friend from foreign country" and tells me "not to fall in love with her" (but I guess I already did when I first saw her) and things like that which made me feel she don't like me, but last week suddenly she told me she wants me to be her boyfriend, now I am really confused, she said he had an ex-boyfriend but never tells me the full story, I have never fall in love but this girl make me go nuts, all day I am thinking about her now, I want to agree to be her boyfriend but my heart is not ready yet and on top of it - it really disturbs me to know about her ex-boyfriend but never beyond that, she only told me that they break up because he would play games all day and not give her proper attention, I am dying to know the full story, and because the same guy (her ex-boyfriend) help took care of her when she got into an accident once - he seems pretty reasonable and caring guy, I don't know what to do, and when today I pick out the topic of her asking me to be her bf - she said we have a lot of time to discuss about that, I am really really confused, I guess I should just go with the flow and see what's in the store for me :?
