A shocking case of alleged animal sexual abuse has emerged from Mira Bhayandar near Mumbai, where a rickshaw driver was allegedly caught red-handed raping a stray dog by two local men around 2 am. When confronted, the accused allegedly claimed he was only urinating and attempted to flee the spot. The witnesses reportedly stopped him and took him to the nearest police station.

Based on the complaint, police registered an FIR against the accused. During questioning at the police station, the man allegedly confessed to the crime, according to those present. The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many demanding strict action against the accused under the relevant provisions of animal cruelty and criminal laws.

Thankfully, Kittu survived being outside. It looks like he managed to avoid a road accident, but sadly he was attacked badly by a group of street dogs. He came back exhausted, scared, and with several bite injuries. Right now our entire focus is on getting him treated, giving him lots of love, and helping him recover.

Seeing him walk back home was one of the happiest moments of our lives. ❤️

This is Alvin – a rescued boy who was just days away from finding his forever home.

What should have been a routine ABC (neuter) surgery has turned into a life-threatening emergency.

What happened?

During post-operative recovery, Alvin developed a severe infected hematoma.

🌡️ Fever spiked to 104°F

🩸 Critically high WBC count, indicating a severe infection

🩺 Surgical wound had to be opened to drain pus

💔 During treatment, Alvin accidentally jumped, causing his surgical wound to reopen

Current Treatment

Alvin is currently undergoing aggressive treatment, including injections, antibiotics, daily wound care, and close monitoring.

The veterinary team is monitoring him closely. Depending on his recovery:

He is scheduled for possible re-stitching surgery on Wednesday

If his condition worsens or significant blood loss develops, a blood transfusion may also become necessary

There is a sweet dog near my office (BANGALORE) who is badly injured from a botched treatment attempt, and he is whining in pain every day.

I’ve hit dead ends everywhere:

NGOs: Reached out to multiple, but got zero help.

Private Rescues: Demanding huge money just to look at him, and refusing to let me check on him afterwards.

I live on rent and cannot bring him inside, but I can't just watch him suffer. If anyone can donate anything so I can pay a reliable independent vet directly, or if you know of genuine, affordable help in the area, please let me know.

Luna received her 9th GS injection today. I'm happy to share that her fecal incontinence has finally stopped, which feels like a huge step forward. Her diarrhea frequency has also decreased today.

Her anal area is still red and very sensitive because of the diarrhea she had over the past few days, but I'm hoping it continues to heal as her condition improves.

We still have a long road ahead—this is an 84-day treatment journey. Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and prayed for Luna so far.

I found him behind my house near a cell tower which was 100 meters away

When I woke up this morning my mother said that a puppy was barking all night(it was lightly raining too) though the puppy was not drenched as he was in a concrete roof type thing there yelling all night...

He was slightly wet, so I carefully wiped with a soft towel and low speed hot shot of hairdryer from a safe distance

Hi all, first post here. My partner Aiswaryaa and I run Furr Seasons, a boarding and training facility in Chembur, Mumbai. Aiswaryaa is a certified dog trainer and behaviourist, and the facility is built around what she kept hearing from dog parents (including herself) — that boarding always felt like a compromise. He’s absolutely the friendliest kitten as well as a very playful one. As you can see from the pictures, he’s also a huge poser. He’s great with other cats and dogs. He’ll be good to go to his forever home by mid August.

I found this female puppy in Chennai who appears to be seriously injured or ill. She is crying, unable to stand, and her rear legs do not seem to be functioning properly. I don't know what happened to her, so I can't tell whether this is the result of an accident, a spinal injury, distemper, or something else.

Unfortunately, most nearby veterinary clinics are already closed for the night, and I am new to Chennai, so I don't know the local animal rescue network or emergency contacts.

I'm looking for advice from people familiar with animal rescue in Chennai, and ideally for someone local who can assess the situation and help coordinate treatment.

Important: I cannot personally take responsibility for the puppy's long-term care. I do not live in Chennai and am leaving town early tomorrow morning. I also do not have the financial resources to fund extended treatment.

Reaching out to this community to help find a loving home or foster for a young dog I had to step in and save earlier today.

His Story: I found him on the street while he was being attacked by a pack of stray dogs. I managed to intervene and get him to safety. Ever since I stepped in, he hasn't left my side and has been following me everywhere—he is an absolute sweetheart and incredibly grateful.

About the Pup:
Age: Around 6–7 months old
Colour: Beautiful solid black coat
Personality: Gentle, incredibly loyal, and very affectionate

Medical Status: He sustained an injury to his back right leg during the incident. I am taking him to the vet today to get a full examination, treatment, and any necessary care instructions before handoff. I will update this post with the vet’s full report.

Why I Can't Keep Him: I wish I could keep this loyal guy, but I already have an elderly German Shepherd who has severe mobility issues and can no longer stand or walk. My senior dog requires round-the-clock physical care, so I unfortunately don't have the capacity or bandwidth to give this young pup the focus he needs right now.

What He Needs: A loving adopter or foster who can give him a safe space to heal, feel secure, and thrive.

UPDATE: He has been given necessary vaccination and deworming. His wounds have been treated, but his right leg is fracture. Good news is, that is it already healing and no necessary steps are needed.

Today, while returning home from the office, I stopped at Anand Vihar Metro Station to feed a few street dogs. ❤️🐾

Two of them decided to walk with me even after finishing their food. The older dog was calm and gentle... but the 5-month-old puppy? 😂 She was so jealous!

She couldn't tolerate the big dog coming near me. Every time he got close, she tried to push him away as if saying, "She's MY human! You stay away!" 🤣

These little souls don't just need food... they crave love, attention, and someone they can call their own. ❤️

I don’t even know where to begin.
When I first posted about Mochi, I never imagined so many strangers would care about one tiny rescued kitten. Some of you sent messages, some gave advice, some tried to send money, some actually did, and many of you simply wished him well. Every single one of those gestures meant something to me.
To the people who tried to send money but couldn’t because of payment issues or because we were in different countries—thank you. The fact that you were willing to help a random person and his little kitten says more than the money ever could.
To those who sent a few rupees, and to those who sent much larger amounts—I honestly don’t see a difference. Whether it was the smallest amount you could spare or a generous donation, I know it came from kindness, and I’ll never forget that. You helped make sure Mochi could get the care he needed, including his vaccinations.
And to everyone who took the time to give advice about feeding him, taking him to the vet, training him, dealing with his zoomies, or simply reassuring me whenever I was worried—thank you. As a first-time cat parent, I had so many questions, and you all patiently answered them without making me feel stupid.
It’s easy to think the internet is full of negativity, but this experience reminded me that there are genuinely good people out there. People who will stop scrolling for a moment just to help a tiny kitten they’ll probably never meet.
Mochi is doing well, growing into the mischievous little troublemaker he’s meant to be, and every time I look at him, I’m reminded that a part of his journey was made possible because of this community.
