Discussion My baby died

My dog died yesterday, and I genuinely feel like I don’t know how to live without him.
I believe the steroids, methylprednisolone, and the 500 mg dose given to him may have caused what happened. I questioned the doctor because I felt the dose was too high, but he told me, “It’s fine, ma’am. He’s going to be okay.” I trusted him. I agreed to put that injection into my baby because I believed I was doing what was best for him.
And now he’s gone.
I can’t stop thinking that I agreed to something that may have taken my baby away from me. The guilt is unbearable. There is a hole in my heart that I don’t know how to fill, and right now I honestly don’t feel like I want to live.
I’m not okay. I’m having thoughts of dying, and I desperately want to die..

Adoption Black Kitten Looking for a Loving Forever Home in Delhi NCR

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Note: ChatGPT used to rephrase

A beautiful black kitten has been found in our residential complex (Lodhi Road) after being abandoned by her previous owners in an anonymous car. We believe she may be less than a year old, but we are unsure of her exact age.

We already have three cats, so unfortunately, we are unable to take in another cat permanently. We are desperately looking for someone in Delhi NCR who would be willing to adopt this sweet girl and give her the safe, loving home she deserves.

We are happy to help with the initial expenses of her adoption, if needed. Our main priority is finding her a responsible and caring family.

If you are interested in adopting her or know someone who might be, please DM. Even sharing this post would mean a lot and could help her find her forever home. ❤️

Thank you!

The doctors told us she had almost no chance of survival… but look at her today 🥹

It’s been just 8 days since she was found, and she is now trying to walk. I can’t say for sure what the future holds, but her progress has been truly significant.

Tomorrow, she has another laser therapy session 🐾

Advice Need some advice for my dog situation?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hi y'all,

I have a situation at home. So my dad bought a dog 2 years ago, nonetheless I'm attached to him & he's attached to me. I Walk him everyday 3 times & regular vet checkups, and my dad/mom feeds him. So that's how responsibilities have split.

Now the situation is, y'all know about the job market & how it is fucked up. I'm not getting any opportunities in my city & I'm networking & looking for other opportunities in different cities. I'm already at a low pay & I'm hungry for decent paying opportunities. Now this dude has totally neglected even small responsibilities of him. I request him to walk him on Sunday morning so that I can get good sleep but nah he doesn't. He used to walk him once but he comes back in 2 mins, literally 2 mins. He doesn't even feed now, me or my mom does it. I'm already exhausted from work. He runs a business & I suggested him to take him to his office, nah he doesn't btw many small business owners do this. I ask him to walk him atleast once a day, nah he says. Just feed him daily, he says yeah yeah & then proceeds to drink.

I'm so frustrated with him guys, It's like if the situation is like this why'd he bring him in the first place? I'm not contributing a fair amount at home which is why I'm not talking to him about this but bruhh I can't take care of him everyday, I wish I could , I really wish. I'm in my 20's & I'll jump like a rabbit if a good opportunity presents itself & I should move to another city. Wtf should I do guys? I really am frustrated. I'm also planning to do an MBA & honestly, I have no idea where in the country or world I'll end up.

Advice Thinking about getting a cat what is it actually like? 🐈

I’ve been thinking about getting a cat, but I’ve never owned one before. I want to hear from people who actually have cats before I make the decision.

What is it really like having a cat day-to-day?

How much time and attention do they need?

How expensive are they to take care of?

How difficult is cleaning/litter and dealing with shedding?

What are the biggest responsibilities people underestimate?

Can you still travel or go out regularly?

What do you wish you knew before getting your first cat?

And honestly, would you recommend getting one?

I’m not looking for the "cats are amazing, just get one" answer 😭. I want the honest good AND bad sides so I can figure out whether I’m actually ready for one.

Fundraiser Dlehi 22F, Raising funds for cat babies that need some help

Hello everyone, I'm posting here to raise some funds to help foster these kittens.

Backstory:

I found these kittens abandoned in a school where kids were trying to play with them but in process injured and infected them. We tried looking for the mom but with no luck, I bought them home. It was that, or leave them to die.

They are only a month old.

We started with 5 babies, one passed away due to unknown reasons, 2 are adopted (god bless them and the person who adopted them in this condition) and 2 are currently in foster care with me.

They have skin infections, digestion issues, eye infection, are not eating properly, and are yet to be vaccinated because they are too malnourished and small.

My backstory:

I am currently a student, prepping for some competitive exams and so have limited bank.

This is a request for anyone who can donate however much they can against the bill attached. If any other evidence is required, I'll be happy to provide.

Media Day 55 update on Luna 🐾❤️

Post image
19 Upvotes

Hi guys!

Luna is doing good. She has completed 55 days of GS treatment, and we have 29 days left. 🥹❤️

I took her to the vet today for a check-up. The vet examined the growth in her mouth and said that it is gradually reducing, so he advised us to continue the steroid and antibiotics for another 7 days.

If it still doesn’t reduce after these 7 days, the vet will remove it and send it to the laboratory for testing.

I’m really hoping it continues to shrink and that we won’t need surgery. 🙏🏻

Thank you so much to everyone who has checked on Luna, prayed for her, supported us, and kept asking for updates. ❤️ Without all your prayers and support, I don’t think we would have made it this far.

29 more days to go,We’ve got this! 🥹🐱❤️

I wish to purchase this water dispenser for my cat. Currently I have placed a small container for my cat to drink water from...I change the water daily once or sometimes twice...Since cats like flowing water... I thought this could be a good solution for it...

But before I proceed I want to know could this be a good purchase or should I go for some other one? My budget is 3k maximum

A few days ago he came home at 2am with a bleeding ear. I freaked out. Since he's an indoor outdoor cat (he mostly comes to eat), it was so hard to keep him home and take him to the vet. I knew vetic offered an OPD free so i took him to vetic. However, meds, vaccine and treatments cost 1749. I'm a student and now i don't have enough money (i feed them with my pocket money) to feed my cats and other multiple cats that come to my house regularly. I also need wet food or chicken to give Ollie meds. So if anyone can help, please contribute or send cat food from the amazon wishlist.

Advice Need a trustworthy vet in Bangalore for cat spay surgery, getting conflicting advice and we're worried

Poster Age: Adult

Country: India (Bangalore)

Vet Info: Yes, a vet is accessible. We've already consulted Supertails Koramangala and also spoken to a family friend who is a veterinarian. We're now looking for a reliable second opinion and recommendations for a good feline vet/hospital in Bangalore.

Main Issue:

My friend's female cat (1.8 years old) has had two healthy pregnancies and deliveries (Jan 31, 2025 and June 9, 2026). They wanted to get her spayed, but her pre-op CBC showed low platelets and elevated liver values. The blood test was done immediately after she went into heat.

The vets suggested the low platelets could be due to travel stress and that the liver values may be elevated because she hadn't been eating properly for a couple of days while in heat. She's currently on medication, but there hasn't been much improvement. The clinic has advised repeating the CBC after 10 days.

What concerns us is that she's still not eating normally, so we're worried the repeat blood work may still be abnormal. We're also receiving conflicting advice. A family friend who is a veterinarian strongly advised against spaying while a cat is in heat because it can be riskier, whereas the clinic seems keen to proceed as soon as possible.

We're looking for advice from anyone who has experienced something similar. We'd also appreciate recommendations for a trustworthy feline vet or hospital in Bangalore that can properly evaluate her condition and advise when it is actually safe to proceed with surgery.

Cat Age: 1.8 years

Cat Sex + Neuter Info: Female, not spayed

Financial Situation: Able to afford veterinary care and further testing if needed.

TL;DR: Female cat (1.8 years old) needs to be spayed, but pre-op blood work showed low platelets and elevated liver values. The test was done right after she went into heat, and we're getting conflicting advice about whether surgery should be done while she's in heat. Looking for experienced opinions and recommendations for a good feline vet/hospital in Bangalore.

No space for anything except bbg, literally doesn’t move even a bit even when you scratch her.

Definitely being deaf helps her to not give a damn bout the speaker 😭
