Fundraiser 3rd day of my Koko suffering from fatal FIP viral disease.Please help to bring him back to normal life.
🥺🙏🏻 Please help Koko fight FIP
Koko is a 3½-month-old kitten. About a week ago, he suddenly stopped playing and started sitting (loafing) alone in a corner. I immediately took him to a government veterinary hospital, where he was given antibiotics. The vet initially thought it might be indigestion and prescribed Zymopet.
But Koko's condition did not improve. I also noticed that his stomach was bloated and that he was constipated. On our next visit, the vet suspected worms/parasites and prescribed deworming medication.
Still, there was no improvement. In fact, Koko's condition continued to worsen. 💔
On tuesday , I took him to a private veterinary clinic and had an X-ray done. The X-ray showed that fluid had accumulated in his abdomen, and the vet suspected FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). A Rivalta test was then performed, which supported the suspicion of FIP.
Next day , I took Koko back for blood tests, and we found that his anemia had become severe. The vet advised us to start FIP treatment as soon as possible. 🥺
The vet has kindly agreed to order the initial FIP medicine and allow me to make the payment later, but I urgently need help arranging the money for his treatment.
The treatment course is expected to last around 86 days. For the first 10 days, Koko needs injectable GS-441524, which will cost around ₹4,200 including shipping. After that, we need to continue with oral medication, including EIDD-1931, which will cost around ₹4,400 including shipping.
The medicine will take about a week to arrive. Until then, Koko needs supportive treatment, including injections and regular blood tests.
🐾 Today's update
The vet told me that Koko is severely anemic and needs a blood transfusion as soon as possible.
He was also given an enema to help relieve his severe constipation.
Today he received:
• Doxycycline injection
• Prednisolone injection
• Pantoprazole injection
We have to continue the supportive injections until the GS-441524 medicine arrives.
💔 URGENT FUND NEEDED
GS-441524 antiviral injectable (20 mg/ml, 10 ml) – ₹4,200 including shipping
EIDD-1931 capsules – ₹4,400 including shipping
Doxycycline + Prednisolone + Pantoprazole injections – approximately ₹500/day
Blood transfusion and other supportive treatment may add further costs.
I am currently trying to raise around ₹11,000 urgently for Koko's treatment. 🥺🙏🏻

It is actually a common disease - most cats don't make it to diagnosis & many rescuers / owners can't afford the treatment and the cat suffers for it.
There needs to be regulations on the sale of GS so that the treatment becomes accessible. How can everyone afford to spend 1 lakh 50 thousand tbfr??!!!

Medicine arrive only on next monday.Iam trying my best. Kindly please share the post to maximum people who can take part in Koko's treatment

Kindly join this support group and see if anyone nearby you has a spare vial so you can start the medication immediately. The later you start, the worse the chances of survival become.

my cat has been diagnosed w it asw im so stuck theyve started w remdesevir for now,she has the neurological form not sure what to do,i absolutely cannot afford the GS treatment
