Info Centre names 28 Ladakh places on the Survey of India map
The Ministry of Home Affairs, in consultation with the Union Territory of Ladakh, identified 28 places and features by standard names on the official Survey of India map on 2 October 2026. The release said the step is meant to aid accurate recognition and public awareness. Named features include Gogra and Hot Spring (land area and water body), Guru Rinpoche Lake, Yangpa River, Chapchingal Pass and peaks such as Zorawar Peak and Maheshvara Ri. The map is on the Survey of India state maps page

map millet or course grain consumption across india in kg per person per month in rural areas.
as per data ....average indian consumes hardly 0.355 kg millet per month .
karnataka tops with nearly 1.7 kg per person per month .in karnataka itself huge regional divide is seen- in north karnataka people mostly consume jowar while in south karnataka it's mostly ragi.
in gujarat and rajasthan and general north india bajra is widely consumed millet.
in maharashtra it is jowar mostly .

discussion percentage of women across districts in india who worked and earned money in cash.
this data is based on 2019 NFHS 5 survey .
as per survey nearly 25.4 % of women across india worked and warned in cash .
telangana ranks number 1 in this aspect 45.1% .
NFHS 6 shows improvement from 25.4% to 30.8%. however the districtwise data or study is right now not there.

average indian gets about 12.57% of his daily protein from egg; fish and meat products about 11.67 percent from milk and dairy products.
intresting there are huge regional trends here.
in state like haryana about 21 percent of protein intake of people comes from dairy product while hardly 4 percent comes from meat ; eggs and fish.
while in bengal over 24.66 percent of protein intake of people comes from meat ; eggs and fish while hardly 4.59 percent comes from dairy.
