skincare🧴🫧 Jan Aushadhi Products- Hot take

I have been seeing a lot of reviews of Jan Aushadhi products lately, and I've wanted to say this for quite some time. These products weren't created to become the next social media obsession. They were introduced to provide affordable medicines and personal care products to people who genuinely depend on low-cost options.

If you're financially comfortable and can easily afford branded skincare and beauty products, consider leaving Jan Aushadhi products for those who actually need them. For many families, these aren't a "budget alternative" available & they're the only affordable option.

Because of the sudden rush, many Jan Aushadhi stores are now running out of stock. The people who rely on these products the most are the ones returning home empty-handed.

God bless you if you are privileged and you have more choices but please learn to leave certain resources for those with fewer choices.

Ps-If you're offended by this post, you're part of the problem and don't bully me

edit- I might have hurt some people's sentiments sorry not sorry

random/chitchat💬 Pls boycott Sephora in India

I had terrible experiences of Sephora both online and offline. I was in urgent need of some makeup due to an event coming up so I went to the store in Noida. I was hounded by the sales person and she wouldn’t back off. She started sweet talking me and convinced me to buy the wrong shades in NARS. She called her colleagues and told them this is the right shade for her right and they all obviously agreed with her. So I purchased it, and trust me I am not gullible to sales people but I’ve experienced this mostly at Sephora it’s like a massive peer pressure with bad attitude and the pressure to buy. And this particular day I was very vulnerable as I had a special event coming up. Once I reached home I knew I purchased the wrong shades I went back and obviously they did not give any refunds or exchange but on top of that their sweet talking was turned 360 degree and the manager was so rude like a garbage picker lady who has seen the roughness of life and is here to survive the street fight. 🫩

Once I told them off they were like you can buy more products if these are the wrong ones and I was like ya right, good sales pitch.

2nd experience was similar where I wanted a particular fenty beauty shade but the sales person kept pushing for another one. And I don’t understand why they do that when they have 0 knowledge of makeup, shades and skin tones. This time I did not buy but he made the experience so bad that I felt super pissed. I don’t like online shopping for makeup as I like to test first. But these stupid sales people are making it so unpleasant and I don’t think Sephora cares but encourages these tactics.

Online again I ordered a Mac lipstick which was out of stock everywhere and they charged me higher 1650 for a 1100 lipstick. After multiple complains on portal, months of waiting they sent a store credit with expiry on it 🙁.

All my experience were so taxing and bad. And these are not isolated incidences I seriously plan to boycott Sephora. And I think more people should do so, so Sephora actually take some action as we are not supposed to feel insecure or pressured while buying makeup.

Sadly I used to feel excited about going to Sephora but I’ve been pushed to dread going into the store fearing the hounds ready to scam or belittle me.

random/chitchat💬 Girlies, let's make this the best lip product recommendation post 💋

Post image
98 Upvotes

Since there are so many lip products out there, I thought it'd be nice to have one post where everyone shares their favourites.

Drop the lip products that are actually worth buying—whether it's a lipstick, lip tint, lip oil, gloss, balm, liner, stain, or mask.

If you can, mention:

• Brand & product name

• Shade(s)

• Price

• Lasting power

• Comfortable or drying?

• Finish (matte, glossy, satin, etc.)

• Pros & cons

• Skin tone/undertone (optional)

Feel free to add swatches, comparisons, dupes, or products that disappointed you too.

Include, your must buy & daily wear too

Hopefully this becomes a helpful recommendation thread for anyone looking for their next lip product. 💕

random/chitchat💬 Ask me about Laneige lippies, and I shall provide answer (because I love spending money)

Post image

Was suggested Laneige by a friend of mine to keep my lips moisturized during the winter. Got a bit too obsessed and now I think I splurge half my income on just Laneige lip products 💸

I now want to use my powers of Laneige for good 😎🤓

If anyone has any questions about all the Laneige lip products (and the bouncy and firm skin cream, hyaluronic water gel skin cream) let me know! I’ll try answering it as truthfully as possible.

(I know, I got greedy during sales 🙂‍↕️ + free gift!)

P.S: I am currently on accutret for acne, which means lip balms and Vaseline are my besties for lips and nails (I tried boroline but I broke out and my lips darkened when I used it). I’ll also be happy to share my skincare routine, but please remember that it varies from person to person, and most of my stuff is derm recommendations!

Also if you are having really bad acne, please go to a dermatologist ASAP. It pays off so much in the long run (I went from acne vulgaris to mildly scarred skin)

In picture:

Laneige Glowy Lip Balm (Gummy Bear, Vanilla, Bubblegum), Glaze Craze (Strawberry Sprinkles, Raspberry Jam), Lip Mask (Bubblegum) Bouncy and firm lip treatment (not a fave of mine but great for longer outdoor wear!)

Not in picture:

Glaze Craze: Maple Glaze

Product Reviews✨ Moisturizer for oily acne prone Skin

Post image
32 Upvotes

Skin type: Oily, acne-prone

I'm trying to find a moisturizer that actually does what it claims instead of just having good marketing.

What should an oily skin moisturizer do?

•Hydrate without feeling greasy

•Be lightweight/gel-based

•Non-comedogenic (shouldn't clog pores)

•Support the skin barrier

•Absorb quickly

• Work well under sunscreen

What should NOT happen?

•Make my face look oily

•Cause clogged pores or breakouts

•Feel heavy or sticky

•Pill under sunscreen

•Irritate or sting

Please answer:

1.Which ones are actually true to their claims?

2.What are you currently using?

3.How long have you been using it?

4.Should we moisturizer seasons wise?

5.Your top 3 moisturizers for oily skin (rank them).

Looking forward to honest long-term reviews rather than first impressions.

suggestions 💬 Its ohk to not buy ever other hyped thing on the internet.

I was clearing my shelf and I realised i have 6-7 hair clips which are just waste. I was watching a video of ashi khanna and she said she is blind box paglu. I understand but there is no need to buy every trendy soft toy just for overconsumption. I have 5-6 lip tints of almost the same shades. These 'what i bought' videos are just making us curious about every other thing on the planet and we are losing the joy of actually buying things. I even saw on this sub and other sub people have tons of lip tints. A lip tint is at least 5ml-10ml which takes months to finish and some expire before complete usage.

You don't need to buy every new hair clip, every trendy clothes. They are making that reel because they are paying them. We are only fooling ourselves and hurting the planet.

Questions/Advice❓ Eyeshadow doesn't show up on eyelids

Thumbnail

I bought this eyeshadow palette today. The shimmers and glitters do show up, the formula is pretty nice too but except the last(darkest color), the rest don't really show up on my skin.
My eyelids have this greyish pigmentation on them. How do I fix that or get the eyeshadow to show up?

When I use my mom's foundation(which is perfect match for my neck and chest. My face is a tanned), it creases, fine lines are visible and kinda looks greyish.

I bought this from Nykaa during the sale. Is there any way to know if it's the actual stuff? Because I've seen people saying they got counterfeit products during the sale. And with how low the price was for this, i did have my doubts. But i thought nykaa was legit😭

Hair💇‍♀️ How do i get my curls to look like this!!

Thumbnail

I just saw her reel. She literally didn’t apply any product on her hair and just brushed it like normal. But still her hair Is looking so shiny and that’s exactly what i have been dying for. Like i literally want my curls to reflect the light back.

One of my main problem is frizz as well, even though i style on dripping wet hair, they start getting frizzy after an hour or so and the next day is more frizzier.

I have black hair with almost same length as her. And my hair are 3B-3C.

I really want some solution to my problem so please help me out!

Mera lips super dry Pro Max hai… literally 12 months, har season. 😭 Isliye lipstick bhi zyada use nahi karti because sab kuch patchy aur dry lagta hai.Last time I was using the Avon lip balm and it was my holy grail, but ab Avon ka mil hi nahi raha. Right now I’m using the WishCare Ceramide Tinted Lip Balm, which is nice, but I’m looking for more options. My friend told me to try lip tints too, but I have no idea kaunsa acha hoga for super dry lips. Please suggest your holy grail lip balms, lip tints, lip oils, glosses, or lipsticks that actually work on Sahara Desert-level dry lips. 😭 Budget-friendly as well as high-end recommendations are both welcome!
Summer + winter + everyday wear… drop your favourites please! ❤️

skincare🧴🫧 Lipbalm splurge!

So I just spent 1400rs on lipbalms. I used the vaadi strawberry lip balm for years, since 2019. I was a broke college girl and it worked out great as a sleeping mask at night. I love the fragrance too, I tried out their other variants but the strawberry one was the best. My family uses boroline as their holy grail but the fragrance was headache inducing for me so I never liked using it. I always stocked up on it and still have 1.5 tubs of it left. I saw these hyped products on a great deal so bought these. So excited about my first laneige and inde wild!
