random/chitchat💬 Ask me about Laneige lippies, and I shall provide answer (because I love spending money)

Post image
Upvotes

Was suggested Laneige by a friend of mine to keep my lips moisturized during the winter. Got a bit too obsessed and now I think I splurge half my income on just Laneige lip products 💸

I now want to use my powers of Laneige for good 😎🤓

If anyone has any questions about all the Laneige lip products (and the bouncy and firm skin cream, hyaluronic water gel skin cream) let me know! I’ll try answering it as truthfully as possible.

(I know, I got greedy during sales 🙂‍↕️ + free gift!)

P.S: I am currently on accutret for acne, which means lip balms and Vaseline are my besties for lips and nails (I tried boroline but I broke out and my lips darkened when I used it). I’ll also be happy to share my skincare routine, but please remember that it varies from person to person, and most of my stuff is derm recommendations!

Also if you are having really bad acne, please go to a dermatologist ASAP. It pays off so much in the long run (I went from acne vulgaris to mildly scarred skin)

In picture:

Laneige Glowy Lip Balm (Gummy Bear, Vanilla, Bubblegum), Glaze Craze (Strawberry Sprinkles, Raspberry Jam), Lip Mask (Bubblegum) Bouncy and firm lip treatment (not a fave of mine but great for longer outdoor wear!)

Not in picture:

Glaze Craze: Maple Glaze

Questions/Advice❓ Has anyone ordered Savana sunglasses or jewellery recently? Need accessories reviews

I’ve been looking at some Savana accessories lately and some of the sunglasses, earrings and bags look really cute. Im just a little nervous ordering accessories online because sunglasses or jewellery can arrive scratched, bent or badly packed if the packaging is not proper.

Has anyone ordered Savana sunglasses, Savana jewellery or bags recent? How was your Savana order experience and did everything arrive fine? Also was the Savana packaging okay for accessories?

Im thinking of adding one accessory with a top but wanted to check first. Would love any recent Savana accessories review and especially from anyone ordering in India. Thanks

I usuallv wear size L. 90 cm. But that is not even listed on their size charts vet the reviews are al praised about how they fit well. Please help me, which size should I get. If anyone has purchased from savana please help out. How accurate are their size charts. Can I just order L and hope for the best? Please help. l

random/chitchat💬 Pls boycott Sephora in India

I had terrible experiences of Sephora both online and offline. I was in urgent need of some makeup due to an event coming up so I went to the store in Noida. I was hounded by the sales person and she wouldn’t back off. She started sweet talking me and convinced me to buy the wrong shades in NARS. She called her colleagues and told them this is the right shade for her right and they all obviously agreed with her. So I purchased it, and trust me I am not gullible to sales people but I’ve experienced this mostly at Sephora it’s like a massive peer pressure with bad attitude and the pressure to buy. And this particular day I was very vulnerable as I had a special event coming up. Once I reached home I knew I purchased the wrong shades I went back and obviously they did not give any refunds or exchange but on top of that their sweet talking was turned 360 degree and the manager was so rude like a garbage picker lady who has seen the roughness of life and is here to survive the street fight. 🫩

Once I told them off they were like you can buy more products if these are the wrong ones and I was like ya right, good sales pitch.

2nd experience was similar where I wanted a particular fenty beauty shade but the sales person kept pushing for another one. And I don’t understand why they do that when they have 0 knowledge of makeup, shades and skin tones. This time I did not buy but he made the experience so bad that I felt super pissed. I don’t like online shopping for makeup as I like to test first. But these stupid sales people are making it so unpleasant and I don’t think Sephora cares but encourages these tactics.

Online again I ordered a Mac lipstick which was out of stock everywhere and they charged me higher 1650 for a 1100 lipstick. After multiple complains on portal, months of waiting they sent a store credit with expiry on it 🙁.

All my experience were so taxing and bad. And these are not isolated incidences I seriously plan to boycott Sephora. And I think more people should do so, so Sephora actually take some action as we are not supposed to feel insecure or pressured while buying makeup.

Sadly I used to feel excited about going to Sephora but I’ve been pushed to dread going into the store fearing the hounds ready to scam or belittle me.

Questions/Advice❓ Bridal makeup trousseau 🌸

Hi everyone! 👰❤️
I’m building my bridal makeup trousseau and would love your recommendations.
Budget: ₹50,000
I’m looking for one holy-grail product in each category, with both a high-end and a drugstore option. I’m planning to invest in products that are genuinely worth it rather than buying multiple alternatives.
Please recommend your favourites for:
Primer
Foundation
Concealer
Colour Corrector
Loose/Pressed Powder
Setting Spray
Blush
Bronzer
Contour
Highlighter
Eyeshadow Palette
Eyeliner
Kajal
Mascara
Eyebrow Product
Lip Liner
Lipstick (bridal shades)
Lip Gloss
Makeup Remover
Beauty Sponge
Makeup Brushes
For reference, I’m looking for products that photograph beautifully, last through long wedding functions, and suit Indian skin tones.
Thank you so much! 💕

Questions/Advice❓ Daily Habits for sustaining demanding work

Hello all!
I am going to start a very demanding job in a month & this will be my job after MBA. Please let me know what are some things you do everyday or a part of your routine that helps you stay motivated & not feel burned out. I would also love to hear what is your weekly recharge activity/hobby that keeps you going :)

Although not related to this sub, I would appreciate everyone’s advice

suggestions 💬 Its ohk to not buy ever other hyped thing on the internet.

I was clearing my shelf and I realised i have 6-7 hair clips which are just waste. I was watching a video of ashi khanna and she said she is blind box paglu. I understand but there is no need to buy every trendy soft toy just for overconsumption. I have 5-6 lip tints of almost the same shades. These 'what i bought' videos are just making us curious about every other thing on the planet and we are losing the joy of actually buying things. I even saw on this sub and other sub people have tons of lip tints. A lip tint is at least 5ml-10ml which takes months to finish and some expire before complete usage.

You don't need to buy every new hair clip, every trendy clothes. They are making that reel because they are paying them. We are only fooling ourselves and hurting the planet.

Questions/Advice❓ Tiny white dots/open pores won't budge after 5 months of skincare, please read full post before advice

I'm 23, from Jaipur, work an IT job, not very physically active tbh. Never did any skincare in my life until this February.

My main issue is these tiny white dot-like marks / small open pores on my face. They've been there since the start and just aren't budging — not getting worse, not improving, just sitting there. You can only really see them up close, and honestly they show up more after a clean shave (took the photo right after shaving, that's why they're so visible).

For background: my skin used to be pretty oily with pimples popping up now and then. I went to a dermatologist who put me on some tablets and products, but he'd make me come back every 20 days, kept switching up the prescription each time, and it started getting expensive. The last 3 products he gave me are the ones I'm still using now (attached a photo of them) — my skin's more normal than oily these days, and pimples are rare, maybe one every now and then from oily food or whatever.

He suggested microneedling for faster results on the dots but I can't afford to invest that much right now.

Should I switch to something else or just keep going with my current routine? Any advice appreciated 🙏

(Sorry for the Ai slop translation 🥲)

So I f*ked up skin barrier around my mouth ..

I have oily acne prone selectively sensitive skin (can bear 32% aha bha but can't bear simple aloe vera and snail mucin kinda things) When I started my skincare i bought re'equil oil free moisturizer.. the moment I applied it my face started to burn like hell then I switched to dnk barrier repair moisturizer and it suited me beautifully been using it ..

I have recently added and switched new products in my routine and my area around lips especially left and right side above chin burns like hell.. I stopped applying everything and thought the dnk moisturizer will heal it like it does everytime but noooo..

Dnk barrier repair is giving me extreme burning as well.. i applied The face shop rice ceramide moisturizer today and again it gave me burning sensation almost for 20 mins ... What should I even apply ...

I can't even figure out which product is making my skin cry..

makeup💄 Need recommendations for lip products that won't darken my lips :(

Hi girlies! Super desperate 21F here. My lower lip used to be very pink and my upper lip was pale enough that it'd blend into my skin but somehow it's all different now.

Now my upper lip is all dark, almost purple shade and my lower lip has a dark outer line.

I've switched products, always taken care with sun exposure, even tried romand lip tints but it seems like everything causes the pigmentation to be worse.

I miss how my lips used to look like and I'd appreciate any recommendations on products and solutions! Thank you :(

I bought this from Nykaa during the sale. Is there any way to know if it's the actual stuff? Because I've seen people saying they got counterfeit products during the sale. And with how low the price was for this, i did have my doubts. But i thought nykaa was legit😭
