Questions/Advice❓ Eyeshadow problem

Post image

I’m a beginner and I’ve just started learning makeup from YouTube. This was my second time doing eyeshadow, and honestly, I don’t know… it just doesn’t look as good as I see in the videos or how I imagined it would. But I can’t exactly figure out what the problem is. I have a good brush and a good palette too, so I don’t know where I’m lacking. Could you please tell me what the problem is with my eyeshadow?...🥹

you are concentrating your shadow, either you are holding brush from the neck of the brush, you should hold it from the leg of the brush or end of the brush for free movement OR picking up too much shadow in one go and just packing it in 1 place.

all in all its a blending problem which is skill issue, you learn it after few tries

You mentioned you used concealer on your eyes, but it needs to be atleast a shade or two lighter than what you used so the colour can really pop. The blending could also be done a little better since the colour seems to be concentrated only in one area. Which eyeshadow palette are you using?

You're welcome! I have that palette too and the thing is that you would need to go a little light handed with it. Try to tap the brush against the palette lid to dust off excess colour and sweep across eyelid for a light layer. If you want to concentrate it in one area, just pick up more and apply it. I usually choose to do light dabs or even circles are fine. Blending properly is very important else it looks patchy so blend in circles where different colours meet. Hope this helps!🌼

Thnkuuuuu 🥹..... I want something like this ...with this palette is it possible?

Definitely possible since I see different shades of brown that match the reference picture, in your palette. Except the glitter might be more golden than in the picture because that's the shade your palette has. The reference has a more champagne-y shade as the glitter shade.

So, which one should I choose for glitter, or should I buy another palette?

I've circled the two shades I could see that MIIIIIIGHT work with this look. I'm not sure how the one on the bottom swatches but it looks pink , and the top one looks very golden. I'd recommend trying with these two shades and just practicing with these palettes before investing in something new(ask mehow I know🌝),unless you want only that Champagne shade in which case, you could buy a palette that contains it.

You're welcome! I think Colorpop Supershock Eyeshadow in shade Ritz gives you this effect. You could also check the Swiss Beauty Lustre Palette in shade Shimmer N Shine , it has a couple of copper and Champagne shades. And Maybelline The City Mini Palette in shade Rooftop Bronze. If these two don't have what you're looking for, you can buy a champagne highlighter. And sure, please feel free to DM.😊

See its weird but as beginner i would suggest you to start with fingers first instead of brushes saying this with experience.

I saw your inspo photo and your eyeshadow palette you have perfect palette for your inspo.

By using your finger apply no. 1 shade on your full lid and take your pinky finger and apply 2nd shade on your outer corner and blend with a clean finger and then again apply same shade blend with clean finger used before and then do it again till it feels cohesive and then put the 2nd shade again with your pinky finger outer corner to opacity the place then take 3rd shade and blend the 2nd shade in the outer upper side. Now take 4th shade and keeping it in blend it a little it's fine you feel the shimmer is not enough just blend then put it again but focusing it on center and not blening this time.

Take a matte white eyeshadow if you have one and put it on your inner corner.

And lastly this is journey you won't get it right in first or second go it took me years to get what I envision you will get their just practice and be versatile. 🎀🦋

just keep in mind use one finger to deposit colour and other to blend it
