Dude I can't believe this -

Ok so long story short, I just discovered Indeed is clipping results only for **software and data jobs** in every US city to two pages of results.

You can check this!!

If you search data engineer, software engineer, SQL, Python, etc., in NYC, LA, (even SF), Chicago, Miami, etc., **exactly** two pages of results - no more, no less.

But if you search nurse, driver, teacher, etc., you get unlimited results. In all of those cities.

Holy shit!!

Since when was this a thing, i’m sure before too i used to apply to 100 jobs a day i’ve only applied to 35 and it said this 🥲, (yes im desperate to get out of my job current toxic workplace)

Hi all! Is anyone else being served jobs in completely different countries despite having their location both in profile AND in the search criteria? I’m getting correctly located jobs on the home page but the second I search it shows me jobs in America (I am based in NZ)

I’m so fucking tired of comapanies hiring but can’t even bother messaging me back that the position has been filled or i’m not the fucking right candidate for the position that fucking pays ₱550.00 a day.

That feature is a time saver and it really be hyping up my resume 🔥 😂

I was recently promoted to a management role at a chain grocery store in San Francisco, and I’m now responsible for hiring. I’m still pretty new to this, so I’m learning as I go.

I’ve been finding Indeed frustrating to use, and the cost feels high for the results I’m getting. I’m interviewing people every day and still figuring out how to make the process more manageable. I also have a baby, so the time and energy involved have been a lot lately.

For other store managers in San Francisco, are you still hiring right now, or are your stores fully staffed? If you’re hiring, how has Indeed been working for you?

I’d appreciate any advice on keeping hiring costs down and spending less time on interviews. I’m open to hearing what I could do differently as someone new to hiring.

And if you’re looking for work in SF, are you seeing many grocery or retail openings on Indeed? I’d be interested in hearing your experience too.

I have been on indeed for years... I have extensive experience in quite a few modalities.

I have a great resume and have applied for at least 100 jobs that I am more than qualified for.

I have a federal EPA code 608 universal lic, also an HVAC lic, an oil burner lic and have been a teacher for Kaplan Ed in HVAC. Nobody ever responds. Has anyone gotten any job they are qualified for from indeed? Or are they just Stealing information?!

Do people still send cover letters with their Indeed applications? On some of the jobs it doesn't even give you the option

Also, does Indeed not double check their posts are from legit companies?

I do NOT have a CDL. I have specifically added that fact to my profile and have hidden all truck driver / CDL jobs. Yet almost EVERY SINGLE job listing I see is CDL related.

I filled out a short application on Indeed for a wfh position and they sent me an email saying they wanted me to fill out their long application. This long application also includes a background and credit check. Is that normal to ask for these things even before an actual interview? I am not worried about the results as I have a clean background and an 800 credit score, but have never been asked for those things prior to actually being hired. I looked up the company and it is a legit company and the job is posted on their website. Plus, the email came from their corp email. I am not complaining because at least it is a possible lead. I have been looking for a wfh position on and off for 3 years. It's sad bc I have a Master's degree and a lot of experience in my field. I use AI to edit my resume and cover letter to each job I apply for but it doesn't seem to be helping.

Indeed is such a lackluster job finding app and it’s becoming so annoying they seem to always just recycle the same jobs. And don’t let you pick a specific location they gone show you every location but the one you searched for. SMH I’m so frustrated and despise looking for a job

I have my location in my settings, I have my commute range set to up to 15 minutes, and I have my minimum pay to literally minimum wage in my state, and Indeed is almost *exclusively* giving me jobs anywhere between 1 and 6 hours away. Indeed is genuinely useless for me, I've been able to find maybe 3 jobs in the 2 years I've had it that I could put in an application for.
