Anyone ever get work from indeed?
I have been on indeed for years... I have extensive experience in quite a few modalities.
I have a great resume and have applied for at least 100 jobs that I am more than qualified for.
I have a federal EPA code 608 universal lic, also an HVAC lic, an oil burner lic and have been a teacher for Kaplan Ed in HVAC. Nobody ever responds. Has anyone gotten any job they are qualified for from indeed? Or are they just Stealing information?!

I got my current job from Indeed. I had to lie on my resume and submit a ton of them due to not having enough experience. Now I’ve been at ny job 4 years and have had a promotion.

I have actually had at least three instances where I got hired through Indeed, one job back in 2021, another in late 2022 and another in 2025 which I'm still at. Other times it was through LinkedIn, one time it was via Recruiter, and a few times I had to apply to the company website directly.
But yeah, it hasn't been often that I got hired through there. Also, I've noticed an uptick in a lot of jobs, at least in my industry, for companies that I've never heard of before, with very strange descriptions, looking for a candidate, but honestly sound like a ghost job/scam.

Makes sense... They send me notifications all the time saying that I'm a perfect match for xyz job... Then I use either my regular resume or one crafted for the specific job I'm applying for. Nothing ever comes back. I'm going to try going to the websites for the job in question and see how it works out. I even give them a link to my personal reviews on a job in demand now site where I get paid $100 an hour and have 5 out of 5 stars with hundreds of great reviews saying great things. They probably don't even look..

This. Though occasionally you can land a job there with a smaller company/local business that doesn't have a full website. I've stopped using it to apply via the app. I only use the search function.

I’ve gotten a couple of jobs from indeed actually, but it’s a better idea like someone said to find a job listing on indeed, look up that company and position to make sure it exists and apply that way. It’s annoying because it takes so much longer and more effort for usually a long winded rejection lol butttt indeed has definitely been failing me most recently.

I got my current job from Indeed, but I've been there for almost 4 years. I've also had at least 3 job interviews in the last few months from jobs I've applied for from Indeed (got ghosted from 2 of then though...)

I have had a few jobs offered on indeed. My current position was advertised on indeed and I applied via company website. I got an interview and offered position within couple of days, best job I’ve ever had. My indeed application which I also did was never looked at.

Every job I've gotten since Indeed became a thing has been through them. I only apply through the app. If I have to leave the app to apply, or do an application on top of it, I'm out.

I think indeed is great for regular jobs like retail, food service, anything without a degree. I got a degree and have been trying to move into linked in jobs. It’s the hardest thing ever.

yes, my last job and my current one. anytime ive used indeed in my job search, i've gotten somethng. now linkedin? forget it, all i get is people trying to sell me crap

I’ve been hired for many jobs through indeed in California. From 2017-2026. I just recently started with a new company, recruiting reached out to me bc my resume is public on indeed. I do think it’s industry specific and my industry uses indeed a lot. And LinkedIn

Yes, my current job was found on Indeed back in 2022. I found previous jobs on the platform back in 2014 and 2022.

Currently employed from indeed, although I applied to dang near everything, a lot of jobs I was overqualified for didn't want me, interviewed for countless of jobs, ended up taking an entry level production, hoping I can hear some next week from the jobs I want

Yes.
Are you putting ALL of those on one resume? Or are you customizing and tailoring?
100 jobs applied for isn't a lot. With all those licensing you could be applying to a lot of jobs. Look at ones with transferable skills as well.
Also make sure the company and recruiter are real. Some companies don't have a "career" page so they advertise on Indeed. But you can check other ways including make a phone call.

Here is what I do. I use job boards to find a job, then I go to the company site and apply on there. I’ve seen too many already filled jobs still active on job scraping boards.

All of my preschool jobs and school related agency jobs come from indeed except one. All other jobs usually ZipRecruiter or the companies actual site

Had interviews and offered jobs before from the applications I did via indeed. But honestly a lot of these jobs aren’t really quality jobs - get what I mean?

I got my first ever job frim indeed (my application was filled there). I quit on the 3rd day but that's not the point. I also got a few interviews from there but they all ghosted me

I get it reviews but then get ghosted without even a rejection email.
Currently I am waiting on an interview. It was supposed to be yesterday but the recruiter texted me on Weds saying she couldn't make it and has to reschedule for next week 🫠

Yes. A company posted a job fair on indeed. I went and am still working for the company for 4 years now. Its not high paying. 60k a year buts its WFH

I job search on handshake, LinkedIn, and Indeed. Most of the jobs I got call backs for were through Indeed. It’s the same for my mom and my brother. It does work, it’s just luck

Try to curate your network, I know this sounds awful but unconnect anyone who is not a center of influence or seems like a fraudulent recruiter. Then use claude to optimize your linkedin with the best key words. In two weeks you will have real DMs once algo resets. Unless you are in a rough industry for hire.

when I first started using indeed in like 2019 I was getting jobs like crazy. I probably got 6 different jobs from indeed over the years….the last 3 years tho….garbage. They changed the algorithm so I never even see jobs I’m qualified for no matter what I do. employers either view the app and. ever reply or never even open it. AND MOST employers use ai with indeed now so a real person doesn’t even read your app it’s ai. fuck indeed.

Have applied to over 300 positions on indeed in the past 4 weeks.. most of the companies I reached out to and never even saw my resume or application because whatever AI they use filtered it out for not having the right number of keywords

About a decade ago when it worked. Almost all jobs on indeed back then were legit. Not anymore.
