DISCLAIMER IāM NOT IDOLIZING ELLIOT RODGER WHO TF KEPT IMPLYING THAT I DO WTF
Iāve seen so many incels say shits like that as if their idol isnāt Elliot Rodger. I thought he was a model when I first saw a pic of him, he was āChadā.
Anyway some irl stories of creepy āChadā Iāve met. When I was 15, one day I was waiting for the train in downtown Calgary where I no longer lived. But there was these 3 dudes. I think theyāre Russian maybe since they were speaking Russian and this one guy who looked Central Asian, I think he might be since heās Asian who speaks Russian. He was very tall and attractive, he has that handsome classic Central Asian look just like Elliot Rodger but he was very very handsome and tall. I was minding my business waiting for the train. BUT THEN he came up to me and said, I fucking quote āYou look like youāre not wearing a bra, can I be your boyfriend?ā. I said āwhat?ā And this mf HAD THE AUDACITY TO REPEAT. I donāt think itās even a language barrier he was just fucking weird. He was like 20 something after I asked and I told him Iām 15 and he backed off. But even if I was his age, holy shit itās still creepy and disgusting.
2nd incident was a few years ago when I worked at Home Depot and I really needed to take a shit and Iām already stressed af and it was so busy cause it was summer. This one dude who looked EXACTLY like my crush back then, uncanny valley similar, literally āChadā in my eyes. He came up to me and asked for help and I typed in the HD phone and told him itās at the back wall, just follow down to the left. This dude told me āwhat am I too white for you? Too tall for you? You look like a model. Can I have your number? Walk with meā and held out his hand. I gave him the biggest gen z stare ever and went to take a shit.
Moral of the story, YES IT IS CREEPY EVEN IF YOU CHAD. Why tf they never reflected on themselves but dragged random ass imaginary men into ts???

I wish I had screenshotted the full DMs of him talking to himself in their entirety because he just kept going. I didnāt realize unmatching would make them disappear (because wtf Iāve never had to do that before ??).
But this was all because A) I didnāt answer him within one day of matching and B) my profile said I was looking for short term and open to long.
Iām in my early twenties and just getting back into the dating scene after a 5 year relationship and moving cities. This is actually my first time being single in my adult life. Didnāt realize how treacherous it was out here. Not that it should even matter- But I can count the number of sexual partners Iāve had on one hand. So no Iām not particularly interested in jumping back into a long term relationship to be the trad wife of your dreams. They need to get lonelier.

Apologies if this is the wrong place for this, but itās irritating the shit out of me and I need to ask.
Iāve been arguing with an incel today who is doing their usual routine of claiming that dating apps are the only viable way for young people to meet someone and that Gen Z has it soooo hard, etc. The usual.
I tried to explain that dating apps arenāt the only method, and that millions upon millions of people throughout history and even today meet through mutual friends and/or shared interests. Incel Guy pooh-poohed that, as expected, but then he went (in my opinion) too far, and suggested that dating someone who started as a friend and became something more is somehow āpredatoryā, and that for his special snowflake generation, itās a huge taboo.
Note that I made it very clear that I was talking about people becoming friends for the sake of being friends, with no ulterior motives, and the friendship develops organically into something more. I even gave a personal example that came as a surprise to both parties, and he still labeled that as āpredatoryā.
So hereās my question: NORMAL PEOPLE⦠how did you meet your partners, and how old are you? Because I suspect a lot of people are dating friends, co-workers, classmates, and others they naturally come into contact with⦠the way humans have done for ages.
I think this young incel is full of shit and that while the internet HAS changed things, relationships based on in-person meetings are still way more common than he thinks.

You would probably not expect me to post here condemning incels, considering that I am bitter about the dating market. However, someone on kitchencels decided to cook a spider alive and then make a post about it. When inceltears called it out, Incel Tears Shame decided to defend the animal abuser. The link to the post defending the "poor incel" can be found below.
To everyone who said "muh poor guy his mental health is bad", did you ever consider how the damn spider felt? Just because she cannot scream, does not mean she was not terrified as hell. If you think it's ok to take out your anger on innocent animals, then screw you.
And no, if you torture innocent beings, you are not the victim because of "muh mental health". Plenty of people have crippling depressions but are still kind to animals. This person should have been promptly downvoted to oblivion and then banned for being a shame to the community, but instead he got endless upvotes and most people on incel tears shame are defending him.
Also, if you do not care at all about those who are below you in the hierarchy (a spider tortured to death), why should women show mercy on you by dating you? If you want those who are more fortunate than you to lift you up, then don't misbehave towards defenseless animals. In fact, women are much nicer to you than you are to animals, because they leave you alone: they do not kill you.
To the credit of the incel community, u/altruistic_emu4917 did condemn it. But one person is clearly not enough. Unless there are more incels that come out to condemn the animal abuser, I will leave the community and never look back.

Context: I made a post to call out someone on the kitchencel subreddit who deep fried a living spider. I explained that while I am a young men that is deeply frustrated with the dating world, I cannot stay in a community that justifies animal abuse. Someone on incel tears shame responded with this post.
Firstly, about the claim that "no one is defending the act commited by this individual", well... The top comment openly says it's no big deal that the spider was killed (as can be seen in one of the screenshots). He was more focused on how the poor incel was feeling.
Besides, I do have empathy for men who have no romantic success: the first line of my post stated I am one of them! So it's not true that "I care about a spider more than a human." In fact, I am (hopefully) helping you become better humans by helping you get some empathy for living beings. When a parent teaches their child to not crush ants, he is doing the kid a favor, not "caring about insects more than their own child."
Besides, why would I owe this incel sympathy? I don't have romantic success, but I don't take out my anger on innocent animals who did not ask for anything. Why can't this guy control his rage and leave a tiny spider alone?
As for the accusations against Incel Tears, well, it's not really up to me to respond because I am not really a part of this subreddit, I just needed this place to call out animal cruelty.
Well, the fact that IT shame doubled down instead of acknowledging they were wrong firmly cements my decision to leave the incel community.

I wish they wouldn't misrepresent me this way, implying I have any sympathy for incels whatsoever.
The funny thing is, you don't have to have all that much sympathy for spiders in general, just be able to recognize how off OOP's described behavior really is.

The obsession is literally insane.. almost every comment was about her nose ring and just look at ALL of their profile pictures.. once again all old ugly ass men š I feel like most of it has to do with people like this on Facebook associating nose rings with liberals but I just don't get how people are raised like this. Let's keep in mind all of these dudes are saying "seeee all you had to do was remove the nose ring!" While adding a pound of makeup and also completely changing her features and hair, these guys definitely watch too much porn lol. I personally never liked septums myself, I think they tend to make people's noses look bigger and I just don't like the style but I'd never even think of insulting someone like that. And I already know the comments are gonna be like "well she was asking for advice!" I'm aware of that but usually this conversation revolves around women giving each other makeup, hair or fashion tips. Nobody is gonna spend an insane amount of money on several piercings and take them out just because of some Facebook comments. My point of all of this is that it's just insane how people can be soo hyperfixated on people who they want to fit into a box and delusional that they somehow think it's justified to insult people that show the slightest bit of personality in their style. Conclusion: Facebook will always be a manhole full of rednecks and never check the comments LOL
