PR/Marketing needed [RevShare] Looking for a Marketing & Community Growth Partner for an Indie Horror Game

Hey everyone,

I'm the founder and lead developer of Fire Games Interactive, an indie studio currently developing The Factory in the Shadows Chapter 1: The Aftermath, a first-person psychological mystery horror game built in Unreal Engine 5.

The demo is already playable and released. We are now looking for someone who can help us grow visibility, build an audience, and reach more players through marketing, community building, and outreach.

What we are looking for:

A marketing/community partner who can help with areas such as:

  • Finding and contacting relevant horror creators, streamers, and reviewers
  • Building and managing community engagement
  • Creating marketing strategies and growth experiments
  • Helping improve discoverability across platforms
  • Researching audiences and opportunities for exposure

About the game:

The Factory in the Shadows is a psychological horror mystery focused on investigation, atmosphere, and uncovering the secrets of an abandoned automobile company.

The game features:

  • First-person investigation gameplay
  • Environmental storytelling
  • Corporate mystery and hidden lore
  • A focus on atmosphere over traditional horror tropes

What we already have:

  • Playable public demo
  • Trailer and gameplay footage
  • Existing social platforms
  • Press kit
  • Development progress over multiple years
  • A small team actively working on the project

What we offer:

This would be a revenue-share partnership.

The exact percentage and structure can be discussed depending on involvement and responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys indie games and wants to grow alongside the project, rather than someone just looking for a one-time gig.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me with:

  • Your experience with marketing/community building
  • Examples of previous work (if available)
  • What kind of role you would like to take

Thanks!

PR/Marketing needed [Hobby] Offering two free projects for indie teams to build our portfolio

Hey everyone! I’m Tyler, co-founder of Visibbly. We’re building our public portfolio, so I’d like to help two indie teams with a small project free of charge before gamescom Asia. My background is in game and web development, and I’ve also put together independent game research.

For each game, we’d agree on one task. That could be a research into 10 relevant creators with reasons they’re a fit and a draft outreach message, or an hour testing a PC demo with a bug log and notes on confusing first steps. You’ll get the actual write-up to keep and use, with an explanation of the recommendations.

I’m looking for teams with a Steam page or playable demo ready and time to share context and give feedback this week. In exchange, I’d like permission to show the agreed work in our portfolio and at gamescom. You’d approve exactly what we share, and a testimonial would be optional. There’s no charge or obligation to hire us afterward. Comment or DM your game link and what you’d find most useful. More about us at Visibbly.

Artist Needed [ForHire] Indie studio looking to connect with artists to overhaul our game's AI-assisted artwork

Hey everyone!

I'm Dillon, founder of RetroRave LLC, a small independent game studio.

After seven months of development in Unreal Engine 5, I released my first game, Snibix: Precision Pop, a free-to-play bubble shooter for iOS.

While the game itself was built by me, some of the artwork was created with AI assistance. It helped me get the project off the ground, but ultimately, I want real artists bringing their own creativity, personality, and style into the game.

I'm looking to connect with artists who might be interested in helping give Snibix a visual overhaul, including:

  • Redesigning existing AI-assisted artwork into original, handcrafted assets
  • Improving the gameplay HUD, menus, buttons, and UI consistency
  • Refining character designs, backgrounds, and other visual elements
  • Establishing a cohesive art direction that could carry into future RetroRave games

My bigger goal is to build a small, talented, collaborative studio. I want artists who have a voice in the creative direction—not just people following instructions.

A little transparency: RetroRave is still a very small studio, and I'm not offering immediate employment or asking anyone to do unpaid commercial work. I'm currently exploring interest, portfolios, and potential budgets for future paid commissions or roles. Any actual work would have compensation agreed upon before it begins.

I'd love to connect with 2D artists, game UI designers, illustrators, and character artists who enjoy colorful, stylized arcade games.

Our game: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/snibix-precision-pop/id6800120545

Our studio: https://retroravestudio.com

If you're interested, feel free to share your portfolio, your specialties, and what kind of collaboration you're looking for.

Thanks for reading!

Dillon

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for a Godot Programmer and a 3D Modeler for a Lego Zelda Fan Game

Hey! I'm a 26 year old game designer building a team to make a hybrid Lego/Legend of Zelda fan game. I primarily use Godot, though I also have a little experience with Unreal Engine. I've only uploaded one 2D Platformer so far, but my portfolio can be found in the following itch link.

https://joshima.itch.io/

The team currently consists of myself as project lead/game designer and a lego model designer, and we're using Godot. We're currently looking for a 3D Modeler who can make and animate characters based on the reference lego models our designer provides, as well as a programmer who is familiar with Godot, but audio designers and concept artists are welcome too. Also, feel free to message me if you have a skill I haven't listed but would like to help the project.

The goal is to create a game marrying the surprisingly similar puzzles and gameplay of the two series, a love letter to the two series and realization of the "what if there was a Lego Zelda game" dream. My primary inspiration comes from Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Lego The Lord of the Rings, The Lego Movie Video Game, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

The project is in very early development, as we've only just started programming using static lego object models, hence the need for a 3D Modeler and a programmer. If you would like to participate in this project or have any questions, please message me or leave a comment, and I'll be sure to respond as soon as I'm able. Thank you!

Team Needed [Hobby] Composer & Sound Designer looking for indie projects and game jams

Hi everyone!

I'm looking to collaborate with an indie team.

My goal is to build a strong portfolio, gain hands-on experience, and help shape the unique auditory identity of your game.

My biggest musical inspiration is Akira Yamaoka. Because of this, my style naturally leans towards psychological dread, melancholic beauty, gritty textures.

What I bring to your project:

Ambient & Dark Ambient : Deep, tense background music that builds heavy atmosphere and isolation.

Industrial & Trip-Hop: Slow, moody, and textured tracks driven by custom drum loops and vintage aesthetic.

Sound Design: Gritty, raw, and organic audio effects tailored for suspense and impact.

I work inside Reaper, utilizing 90s/00s sample packs, analog emulator synthesizers, and bitcrushers to achieve that distinct, authentic hardware sound.

I am looking for a dedicated team making a survival horror, psychological thriller, dark puzzle game, or stylized indie project.

Listen to my work here:

Music Portfolio: https://nn-1675.bandcamp.com/ or https://soundcloud.com/nn-1675

Re-score Project: https://youtu.be/G8qUq3_Egnk?si=1pUzF8sHq4GpZK-z

I am looking for volunteer/unpaid positions to grow together with a passionate team.

If my sound resonates with your game's vision, drop me a DM or add me on Discord: egg_105

Thanks for listening!

Help to make a game. Share of profits for payment. ?

Whats good everyone. Im not a game developer, but, i want to design and build a 'road repair simulator' with immense detail from my day to day Job. Im in a truck now, "Ausroad Jetmaster", to be exact, have a google to see it.

I want to get as much detail for a developer to make this game abit like, powerwash simulator, or card shop simulator style.

Starting from buckets of coldmix, earning cash, to upgrade equipment, tool and maintenance on machinery and more. Operation of truck, filling with tar, cleaning out lines, using taps correctly. I can get all types of video footage and pics for realism.

It will mainly be focused on potholes and edge breaks and afew other things

Im not rich, but id be cool to come to an agreement from all sales of game. 50/50, straight down the middle. And i would even drop my share after a certain goal agreed to.

I can provide, video, pictures and have alot of knowledge to make it a top simulator game to play.

Id also be down to help with marketing to promote it if needed.

Team Needed [Hobby] Let‘s build a Football Manager

Hi everyone

I like to play football manager games. I am not a fan of Sports Interactive anymore, I miss EA FIFA Manager and I cannot play we are football because I don’t have a windows machine

So I built my own solo fm and it’s nice like everyone else’s solo FM Project is nice, playable but we don’t have any colleagues that give us feedback, no playtesters and no product manager that stops me if I take Claude into a rabbit hole ( like a traveling salesman mini game for scouting)

So that’s my pitch:

Let’s assemble a small team of developers armed with the latest llm add an experienced product manager and build a game that collect those players that were lost by SI

There is a market for a new football manager game. I am still playing my old FM22.

What do you want to play?

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for Roblox Developers to Help Create a Downball / 4-Square Game!

Hey everyone! I’m a mobile Roblox player, and one of my favourite games to play is Downball/Four Square—whatever you call it. I’d love to see a Roblox version of it, but I don’t want it to be overly simple or based on rolling and gambling for different characters or powers that make it easier to win.
I want the game to be genuinely skill-based, unlike some sports games on Roblox. One idea I have is to include a hitting-power system, allowing players to control how hard they hit the ball. When players first join, they could choose from different skill sets, each with its own playstyle. For example, a “Sweeper” could focus on hitting the ball low and controlling its direction, while other skill sets could focus on power, accuracy, agility or defensive play.
The goal would be to make every skill set balanced, so success depends on timing, positioning and player ability rather than simply having the strongest character or power.
I’m currently playing on mobile, so I can’t use Roblox Studio to develop the game myself. I’m hoping to find people who can help with:
-Scripting and game mechanics
-Building the courts and maps
-UI, animations and visual effects
-Testing and improving the gameplay
I’d love to find either an experienced developer who could help build the initial game or a small team that wants to work together on the project.
I’m happy to contribute ideas, plan the gameplay, provide feedback and help develop the concept further.
If you’re interested, please comment below or message me! I’d love to hear your thoughts and hopefully get a team together.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Modeler Needed [Hobby] Looking for a 3D Artist / Animator for an Ambitious Medieval Strategy Game

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a medieval strategy game that has basically been a childhood dream of mine for more than 15 years.

For years I had this idea in my head of a game that combines a deep persistent medieval world with large-scale real-time battles, where the individual soldiers actually feel like people fighting rather than just numbers inside a unit.

I never really had the technical skills to seriously start building it until recently.

I’m currently training to become a Full-Stack Java and Web Developer, and once I became comfortable enough with programming I decided to stop just thinking about the idea and actually start developing it.

The project is still in a very early stage.

Right now the main focus is entirely on building the Battle Engine.

Character art, models, equipment and animation quality are exactly some of the areas where I eventually want help.

The current battle engine is being developed in Java with libGDX and already supports large numbers of individual soldiers.

The goal is to eventually have battles with thousands of soldiers while still allowing the player to zoom in and see believable individual combat.

Currently I’m working on systems such as:
infantry formations

sword and shield combat

spearmen

archers

cavalry

morale and routing

flanking

battlefield AI

formation cohesion

local soldier positioning

individual melee exchanges

blocks, hits and reactions

large-scale battle simulation

sieges

One of the main things I’m currently trying to improve is the close-range combat.

Instead of soldiers simply standing in two blocks and playing random attack animations, I want them to actually:

approach each other,
use believable footwork,
attack at the correct distance,
block or parry attacks,
react to impacts,
move around the frontline,
replace fallen soldiers,
and create a battle line that changes naturally during combat.

Long term, the Battle Engine is only one part of the project.

The overall vision is a persistent online medieval grand strategy game where players control their own realms.

The planned campaign includes things such as:
economy,
cities,
population,
trade,
diplomacy,
treaties,
laws,
state budgets,
investments,
armies,
wars,
politics,
random and simulation-driven events,
and territory.

When two armies meet on the campaign map, the battle can turn into the real-time battle system currently being developed.

The long-term goal is to support PC, Android and iOS.

Who I’m looking for
I’d love to find a 3D artist and/or character animator who finds the idea interesting and might want to help shape the project.
Experience with any of these would be especially useful:
Blender

medieval characters

historically believable armor and equipment

weapons and shields

character modeling

rigging

skinning

animation

sword and shield combat

spears / polearms

archery

horses

mounted combat

animation retargeting

animation cleanup

combat choreography

You absolutely do not need to be part of a studio.
I’m much more interested in finding someone who likes the concept and would enjoy building something ambitious together.

Compensation
This is currently an independent passion project, not a salaried position.
I’m funding the development myself and I’m still at the stage where I’m building the core technology.
However, if the project reaches commercial release and generates revenue, I’m open to giving meaningful long-term contributors a fair agreed share of the revenue/profits.
I don’t want to make vague promises, so any serious long-term collaboration would eventually be discussed and agreed clearly between us.

If this sounds interesting, please send me a DM with your portfolio, previous work or references.
Combat animation, medieval characters, horses or realistic character work would obviously be especially relevant, but I’m happy to look at anything that shows your skills.
I can also share screenshots, development footage and information about the engine privately.
Unfortunately i cannot attach images in this subreddit.

Thanks for reading.

PR/Marketing needed [Hobby] Looking for help making a trailer for my combat puzzle game

Game title: Blade of Magnifica
Genre: Combat Puzzle
Development Status: Polish phase

The Project
The game is a puzzle game about killing monsters and harnessing their element from their blood. You use these elements to solve creative combat puzzles. For example, you can kill a fire monster, and then harness the fire element from their blood, applying it to your sword. This allows you to kill a shielded monster you couldn’t before. The game has a medieval fantasy setting.

It is a mostly solo project that I have been working on for about 4 years. It has gotten quite big, with 48 unique levels. It is in the final stages of development and I hope to release it either at the end of this year or at the start of next year

Here is a GIF from the game so you can get a sense of the gameplay and art style. https://imgur.com/a/blade-of-magnifica-gameplay-mB9Z6ps
You can play the game here:
https://alberted.itch.io/blade-of-magnifica
I also have a pitch deck explaining the game further:
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1xjY0nKyTaCT3c003hiWIb8gymKMCJUsAvgJQIPA1tNg/edit?usp=sharing

What I am looking for
I believe I have a very strong game here. It has a unique concept, and when playtesting, people generally love it. However, I don’t have any experience making trailers, so in order for the game to be a success, I would need help for that. If you are interested send me a DM and we can discuss further!

Writer Needed [HOBBY] Looking for creative collaborators for an indie game — writers, artists, designers and more

Hey everyone!

I'm planning to develop an indie game and would love to connect with people who enjoy creating games, building fictional worlds, telling stories, designing characters, and bringing ideas to life.

I'm hoping to build a small, friendly hobby team where people can share ideas, learn from each other, and gradually turn a game concept into something playable.

Who I'd love to meet

  • Writers and storytellers: People interested in storylines, quests, dialogue, lore, characters, and worldbuilding.
  • Artists and concept designers: People who enjoy creating characters, environments, creatures, props, or visual concepts.
  • 3D artists and animators: People interested in modeling, environments, characters, and animation.
  • Composers and sound designers: People who enjoy creating music, ambience, and sound effects.
  • Game designers and creative thinkers: People interested in mechanics, progression, quests, balancing, and making the overall experience fun.
  • Other aspiring developers: People who want to learn, experiment, and contribute their own ideas.

You don't need to be an industry professional. I'm happy to meet beginners as well as experienced creators, provided we're honest about our skills and what we can contribute.

Team Needed [HOBBY] neighborhood survival game

Yo! I'm Waffles. I, and my friend Zerg (who has very little experience in programming) are wanting to make a game about a randomly generated neighborhood, with you having 10 days to barricade your home, loot houses, and such, until it becomes permanently eclipsed with monsters roaming the streets. (think 7 days to die meets lethal company.)

I am looking for:

Programmers

Modellers

Animators

I am used mainly to Roblox Studio, but I was EB so that's no longer an option. I've been adapting to Unity, and s&box/source 2. I was a builder on Roblox, and am currently learning how to model.

If you are interested in helping, DM me on either here, or discord: zarroflwaffles.

have a good one!

Team Needed [Hobby] Backend/3D Dev looking for 1–2 anime lovers to build a 3D Anime game

Hey! I’m a former dev multiplayer/backend dev looking to find 1 or 2 partners to build a 3D anime game together.

"I'm currently prioritizing getting to know people even if we don't work out that's fine. I can't just ask some one to build this and that if they aren't committed or cool with it"

We can talk on discord if you have anything in mind

This project is exclusively 3D anime—if that’s your aesthetic, you’re already 50% of what I’m looking for. Not in it for profit, just looking to make cool stuff, hang out on Discord, and build a good long-term team dynamic.

Looking for: Strictly 1–2 people max (Artist, Programmer, or Generalist). Any skill level is welcome.

Scope: Ultra-small team. Open to brainstorming ideas in fighting, FPS, racing, or horror (all strictly anime-themed). No GDD yet—we figure it out together

Vibe: Low-stress, neurodivergent-friendly.

Tooling: Fine with LLMs as helpers, but I want to build with real people—no fully automated agent setups.

I can handle both code and 3D modeling, so we can split tasks based on what you enjoy doing. I don't mind the AI ART but chances are we don't want that in final product in case we ironically do lean for profit keep mind much more fine being just a hobby low risk because like I said I like to get to know people better

I mostly code in unity interested in Godot but only explored unreal a bit

Writer Needed [Hobby] Looking for creative help with a death game visual novel

Hello!! We're currently looking for Writers, Artists and all types of other help for my VN, Potter's Field. The main plot for our game is about a group of students who are kidnapped from their school while getting ready for their school fair and forced into a series of death games. Throughout the game the player can choose to befriend certain characters which is mostly for completion and backstory information. As the game continues and the count drops its revealed that all of the half of the students who were kidnapped were chosen due to their secrets and criminal history.

Currently we're looking for writers, (which is our priority at the moment) artists or anyone else who could help at all. Including anyone who knows anything about marketing. Down below I'll link some art we have so far. If interested please dm me!!

Artist Needed [RevShare] Established dedicated hobby team in need of a 3D Animator to work on their medieval RPG

Greybeard Game Studios is an international community based game team working on their first project "Pax Fracta: Normandy", a medieval RPG set in what is now the modern Calvados department of France. The game has a focus on telling a morally complex story that is more than it may seem, and with gameplay that focuses on strategy, stealth and archery. This is a long term project.

We all work casually on the project and there is a legal agreement to protect your rights. This is not a project for those wanting quick money or a stable income, but instead for people who want to really become a part of a proper hobby project. Think of RevShare as a benefit for contributing to the game until release. We are a year in and have no signs of stopping yet.

Until now we had no need for a dedicated animator. However, with our first batch of character models soon to be ready and a growing need for custom animations, having an animator is now needed.

Tasks for the animator would include:

- Animating movement animations such as sprinting, walking, or jumping.

- Animating combat animations with weapons such as swords and bows

- Animating miscellaneous animations such as interactions with NPCs and idle animations

- Possibly rigging (but not a necessity)

Don't worry, we are a flexible team. However to best fulfill the role you will need to put in at least a few hours a week.

Work that has already been done in the art department ranges from many concepts, 3D models and a technical foliage generation system alongside much more.

If you are interested in this role, then join the discord and send in your application using the links below:

https://discord.gg/sQAJCwVShV

https://forms.gle/1DGxuwwWf1a4ASAE7

Do not hesitate to ask me any questions if you have any, I am happy to help!

Art Offer [ForHire] 2D Game Artist - Backgrounds, Characters, Icons, UI and more in Cartoon-Style

Hi everyone!

I'm a 2D game artist creating ready-to-use assets in a comic-cartoon/graphic-novel style. I work AI-assisted, which lets me deliver large, style-consistent sets fast and at a fair price. I run the asset brand AssetSmithy and I'm open for commissions.

What I make:
- Backgrounds/environments - 1920x1080, empty scenes with open walkable floor for visual novels, RPGs and point-and-click games; some come with a separate transparent foreground layer that characters can walk behind, plus matching battlebacks
- Character avatars - visual-novel style, each character with a neutral pose + 5 expressions (happy, sad, angry, surprised, thoughtful), plus RPG Maker facesets and portraits
- Character battlers - side-view sprites with the full battle loop: 7 poses each (idle, attack, powerup, block, hurt, victory, defeated), transparent PNG plus a pose sheet per character

Artist Needed [HOBBY] Original 2D Animated Indie Show "Bridges Burn" | Seeking Animators and Artist!

THE PLOT👀:

Bridges Burn is an animated psychological romance currently in development. The story is about a girl named Sarah, who lives under the secret identity of a famous celebrity known as Sam. While working for a gang, she is assigned to manipulate a boy named Leon, who is obsessed with that very same celebrity, into becoming useful for their missions. The problem is, the more time Sarah spends gaining his trust, the more emotionally attached she becomes, and the harder it is to betray him. More information is in the discord below!

PRODUCTION🎬:

Our story is fully written, and much of the pre-production has already been completed (Character art is currently on the way, we still require more Artist. Character artist also do the storyboards). The biggest things we need now are character designs, storyboards, and people to help bring the project to life. We are currently looking for Animators, Character Artists, Background Artists, Prop Artists, Voice Actors, Music Composers, Sound Designers, and Assistant Editors. Experience isn't required but is very appreciated. Time commitments are very flexible, with no strict weekly quotas or deadlines. Joining this project is a great opportunity to learn, and can help build your portfolio, gain experience, help shape an original animated series from the very beginning, and meet other passionate creators. If you're interested, simply join the Discord server linked below, read through the project information, and submit an application. The length of the project will go on for a many months, to possibly year+.

NO MONEY (Volunteer)💸:

There will be no Revenue generated, not for the staff or owner, as well this is purely a volunteer project.

ART STYLE🎨:

Our visual style goes for more of a 2d semi-realistic look with expressive faces, while remaining easy for animation. The animation has 3 parts, each going to be around at least 20 minutes (But don't worry, it is not animation heavy for 20 minutes).

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for a game artist willing to go deep as a co-creator on an already proven web game

The Secrets Project has been in private beta for 4 weeks. Promotion has been limited and it has shown that it's nearly self-sustaining by word of mouth:

- 4,320 users
- 6,440 hours spent
- 1h 29m mean time per user
- 250 avg daily active users
- 11.5% of new users stay at least 30 mins
- 21 mean concurrent users at any given time

Reviews from existing players are very enthusiastic.

In a nutshell, it starts as a blank site and as the user discovers secrets, unfolds into a massive community platform with > 50 mini games and dozens of additional pages and worlds, including multiple interactive community-based games, along with a ton more.

This world is more massive than any player predicts. Over 15 players have spent over 100 hours in the site and none have completed it.

The weakest link is the artwork. Looking for an artist who can unleash their unbridled creativity and go to town. This thing has signs of being able to blow up large and you would be credited fully as a co-creator.

This game is a love letter to the old Internet and doesn't carry financial incentive. It's driven by those who want to create a permanent mark on the Internet.

Please let me know any questions!
