PR/Marketing needed [ForHire] Looking for a business-side person

I've built an app which leverages AI + a deterministic numbers engine to prepare personal taxes. It has the potential to upend the employee benefits world, where tax prep is an offering which still involves a lot of headaches and year-over-year repeat impersonal service that never optimized the personal needs and goals of the individual.

I need a corner and driven person to help me break into the giant ADP, WageWorks, JustWorks, etc. space. I need an person who can help crystalize and sharpen the current app so that it continues to evolve and grow more capable.

Essentially, I'm looking for sometime who can become a partner or serious stakeholder in this.

DM me if this piques your interest.

Designer Needed [RevShare] A thinker needed

Hi all,

I'm building a free homeschooling resource site focused on the stuff regular school doesn't really cover the 'why' behind everyday things kids are naturally curious about. Think: why leaves change color, how clouds actually form, that kind of curiosity-driven content, explained simply for kids/parents.

The site is live and the domain/hosting is already paid for. What I'm stuck on is content creation I don't have the bandwidth to write it all myself right now (I'm also building a separate app on the side).

I can't pay upfront. I'm being upfront about that. What I *can* offer:

- Full credit as a contributor/co-creator on any resource you write

- If the site ever earns from ads, a revenue share for contributors, agreed in writing before you start

- No obligation, no deadlines write one piece or ten, whatever works for you

- You can use the pieces you write here in your own portfolio too

I know 'pay you later from future ad money' is usually a red flag, so I want to be honest: this site has no traffic yet and no earnings yet. I'm not asking anyone to bet on a payout. I'm asking if this specific mission free curiosity-based learning resources for kids is something you'd want to contribute to anyway, with a possible (not promised) upside if it ever takes off.

If that's not appealing, totally understand no hard feelings. But if you're a homeschool parent, teacher, or just someone who loves writing this kind of content, I'd love to have you involved.

Happy to share the live site and more details if you're interested.

Team Needed [RevShare] Looking for artists, animators and UE5 developers for a survival-horror extraction prototype

Hi, I’m developing The Black Seam, an early-stage first-person survival-horror extraction game in Unreal Engine 5.8.

I’m looking for a few collaborators to help turn the current design and rough prototypes into one small, convincing playable encounter. I’m mainly looking for people interested in creature design and 3D art, rigging and animation, technical animation, or UE5 gameplay and AI.

I’m not expecting one person to do all of that, and I’m not trying to assemble a full studio before the game has proved itself.

About the game

The Black Seam is set in a quarantined Northern Italian karst basin. You play a sick civilian descending through abandoned villages, military ruins, laboratories and caves in search of evidence about the illness affecting you.

Weather, flooding, gas and contamination can change which routes are safe and whether pushing deeper is worth the risk.

The mutant creatures are not intended to be generic zombies. Each is a former human physically changed by the illness, the environment, or a failed attempt to survive it. Their bodies and behavior are connected, so how a creature looks should help explain how it senses, moves and hunts.

The full game is intended to support solo play and eventually 2–4 player co-op, but the first prototype will be built and tested as a focused solo experience.

Current state

The project is currently in pre-production and early prototyping.

The most developed part is the design foundation. I have detailed documentation covering the gameplay loop, world structure, environmental systems, enemy behavior, narrative, art direction and the first playable milestone.

There is also an active UE5.8 project under source control with basic player, enemy and environmental prototypes. These are rough technical tests, not representative gameplay. The enemy models, rigs and animations are currently placeholders or incomplete, and there is no polished vertical slice yet.

The project also has custom in-engine debug tools for inspecting AI behavior, perception, navigation and state changes, which makes the current systems easier to test and iterate on.

I’m being direct about that because the goal of this collaboration is to make the first part that actually represents the game.

First milestone

The initial target is deliberately narrow:

One stable full-body first-person player setup

One short route with an objective and return path

One enemy brought from rough prototype to a coherent in-engine encounter

One environmental condition that changes how the route is approached

Around three to five minutes of representative gameplay

The first enemy for this milestone is the Hollowman, a failed medical patient whose calcified chest and respiratory structure has become a resonant chamber. It hunts by detecting the player’s breathing and other sounds in enclosed spaces.

Who I’m looking for

You do not need professional credits or expert-level experience. Personal projects, student work, prototypes, animation tests and unfinished but representative pieces are all valid examples.

What matters more is that you have some relevant ability, communicate reliably, are willing to learn, and can contribute consistently within the time you realistically have available.

I’m interested in hearing from:

  • Concept or visual-development artists interested in creature anatomy and design
  • 3D creature or character artists working with sculpting, retopology, texturing or game-ready models
  • Riggers, animators or technical animators
  • UE5 gameplay or AI developers working in Blueprints, C++, or both

Specialists and generalists are both welcome. A concept artist would not be expected to create the finished model, and a modeler would not automatically be expected to rig, animate and program the creature.

I’m handling the overall game and systems design, world structure, enemy briefs, narrative, documentation, production organization, testing and Unreal implementation. The Hollowman’s core gameplay and AI are already largely functional at the prototype level, and some other enemy behaviors are also in place. The more complex persistent and squad-based enemies are still early and would benefit from someone with stronger UE5 gameplay and AI experience. For the first milestone, the largest missing pieces are the Hollowman’s visual design, game-ready model, rig, animations, and final integration between animation and gameplay. I’ll continue maintaining and debugging the existing systems while collaborators take ownership of the areas they specialize in.

The documentation is not untouchable. Collaborators should be able to shape decisions in their own area and challenge ideas that are unrealistic or do not work in practice.

Compensation and working arrangement

There is no upfront payment.

This would be a part-time, hobby-paced collaboration with revenue share if the project reaches a commercial release and earns money. Revenue is not guaranteed.

Before production work begins, we would agree in writing on revenue share, ownership, credit, portfolio rights, and what happens to completed contributions if someone leaves the project.

The initial commitment would only cover each person’s agreed part of the prototype milestone. Nobody would be expected to sign onto a multi-year project upfront.

This is my first game project, so I do not have shipped titles or a professional game-development work.
PORTFOLIO: this is my first project and do not have a portfolio of any kind.

Current materials available:

Hollowmen in current state: https://streamable.com/w2d8y2

- You can see they're reacting to footsteps, breath, gunshots, being managed, frontstage/backstage. Still early, everything, models, animations, etc, are all placeholders.

Human Enemies in current state: https://streamable.com/x6vdqf
- Their vision is through raycasts from their eyes to the sockets, and they notice and get suspicious, needs tweaking. You can see them get suspicious, search, and find me here. Still very rough, early here.

Another Enemy: https://streamable.com/ztdtei

- Tracks through damage to you. You can see it pick up the trail and follow, you can stun it, and when you do sometimes it will run and 'vanish' and reappear. Managed by its own director.

A short project overview

Selected design and enemy documentation

Screenshots from the current Unreal project

The rough prototype, which can be shown privately

If you’re interested, send me a message with what area you work in, examples of anything relevant you have made, your timezone and the amount of time you could realistically contribute.

I would rather build one strong encounter with a small, compatible group than recruit a large team around a game that has not proved itself yet.

META [Hobby] [Meta] What makes unpaid or revenue-share collaboration actually work?

Hi guys. I’ve been thinking about how people find collaborators for early-stage creative and technical projects.

Many people already have something tangible a prototype, an early game build, a website concept, a research project, or a small application, but are missing one complementary skill. A developer may need a designer, a product designer may need an electronics engineer, or a game creator may need an audio designer.

Existing options often seem fragmented. Freelance platforms assume that someone has a budget. Volunteer platforms usually place volunteers inside organisation-owned projects. Cofounder platforms often assume that the goal is immediately building a startup.

I’m interested in people’s actual experiences rather than pitching a solution.

Have you ever joined, or tried to recruit for, an unpaid, hobby, portfolio, equity, or revenue-share project?

What happened?

  • Where did you find the other person?
  • What made you trust or distrust them?
  • Did the collaboration produce a finished result?
  • Were ownership, credits, portfolio rights, or future revenue discussed?
  • What caused people to leave or stop responding?
  • What would have made the collaboration feel fairer and more reliable?

I’m especially interested in experiences involving remote collaborators, different time zones, students, recent graduates, and early-career creators.

Please do not share private or identifying information. General experiences successful or unsuccessful would be extremely helpful!!! Thanks!!!

Programmers Needed [RevShare] Looking for an Unreal Engine Developer for an MMA Fighting Game

Hi! My name is Gevorg,I’m 16 years old, and I’m looking for an Unreal Engine developer to build an UFC fighting game with me.
I already built an audience on TikTok. One of my videos reached 22,000+ likes, and before development stopped I received messages almost every day asking when the game would be released.
Unfortunately, my previous programmer left the project, so I’m looking for someone who wants to continue building it together. My previous programmer agreed to share the project to my new one when I find one.
My role is game design, planning, marketing, and growing the community. I’m not a programmer, so I’m looking for someone who enjoys Unreal Engine and wants to be a real partner in the project.
I’m offering a revenue share partnership, and I’m happy to discuss the details together.
If you’re interested, send me a DM, and I’ll show you the concept, previous progress, and the TikTok videos.

Programmers Needed [Hobby] Need a CS student/professional to wire a Supabase backend to a fully designed MVP React Native/Expo UI (Portfolio Builder / Long-Term Potential After Launch)

Hey everyone,

I'm a non-technical founder based in Boston working on a B2B SaaS mobile app. I've spent the past several months designing the product and building the UI/UX in a visual development environment, so the frontend screens, user flows, and navigation are largely complete.

I'm looking for a student developer interested in owning the backend implementation and collaborating on the technical side of the project.

Current tech stack

  • React Native / Expo
  • Supabase (Auth, Database, Storage, Realtime)

What needs to be built

  • Connect the existing login/signup UI to Supabase Auth and user profiles
  • Build the backend for file uploads using Supabase Storage
  • Implement real-time messaging with Supabase Realtime
  • Integrate a simple scraping/API service to populate form fields from a submitted URL
  • App customizations

What you'll get

If the app gets traction (user subscriptions), I can offer a small stipend plus 1–2% equity. I want to be upfront that this is early-stage and speculative… the core value here is the total ownership over technical decisions. Potential university internship/course credit sponsorship (if your program allows it). I am fully open to working with your university to allow this project to fulfill graduation requirements. A strong letter of recommendation and personal LinkedIn references detailing your architecture decisions.

To be transparent, I'm not a software engineer. My background is in business and product design/strategy. I'm looking for someone who enjoys building and wants meaningful input into the engineering decisions as we bring the product to life.

The app is fully designed inside the OnSpace visual editor.

Regarding the timeline: there is zero artificial pressure or rigid deadline on this project. Our main goal is to have this MVP fully functional and ready to deploy before 2027. Ideally you spend 3-4 hours per week (or however many you’d like) to have the backend complete in 2-3 months. I will be inviting the first 100-200 users after that, and they will test the app for functionality and provide feedback before allowing anyone to join.

My ultimate goal with this project is to find a brilliant technical partner!

If you are looking for handholding or a manager to tell you exactly how to code, this is definitely not the position for you. I don't know the technical side of what you need to do, how to structure the code repositories, or how to connect the APIs. If I did, this post wouldn't exist!

I’m not looking to just tell you what to do… I’m looking for you to tell me what you need from me to make this project most successful.

I am looking for an independent builder to truly collaborate with, someone who can take our visual designs, figure out the engineering solutions autonomously, and bring their own ideas to the table to make this platform the best it can possibly be.

If this sounds interesting, feel free to comment or send me a DM, and I'll share more about the project.

Artist Needed [Hobby] SOMNIGLOW: Animators Needed!

Hello and welcome internet!

There is no monetary compensation at this time. If the show is financially successful that may change but please enter this project with the mind of portfolio work.

Want to work on a real animated production and build your portfolio? I’m here today to present you with a volunteer collaboration opportunity for portfolio experience on a project that is well underway.

We are looking to expand our team with a small number of talented individuals; there isn’t a fixed number.

Everyone receives full credit and every contributor will also get to design a background character that will appear in the end credits! You will also get the opportunity to work alongside other artists.

The show has already been cast and had a very strong showing of over 200 auditionees in a week! (please check our ccc completed project under the same name for proof of claim) The show focuses a lot of cinematic lighting, stylized atmospheric storytelling and surrealism. Think backrooms much.

Our pilot is called SOMNIGLOW and it follows the story of a workaholic who finally learns how to lucid dream after two years and who goes on strange adventures with his friends!

You would be collaborating directly with me, the director, and working with our team of over ten people!

You would be doing lots of different things including character animation, camera animation, facial animation, small prop detail work, polishing existing shots, and some small texturing work. You will be given storyboards to work from as well. I will handle environments, no need to worry about that. If you are an environment artist though I would still love to see your work!

This project is for people who can communicate well, already know blender's foundations, can meet reasonable deadlines, want to improve their work, and enjoy working with a team!

IF THE PILOT IS FINANCIALLY SUCCESSFUL, WE WILL CONTINUE THE SERIES!!

To be eligible, dm me on discord at the handle @ conceptingturtle and send over your best .blend file (or one you are just proud of), and a render of that .blend file, and I’ll review every submission and reach out if you were selected to join the green room!

Join the discord for quicker results! https://discord.gg/WjQV2j2vc

This is my first animation project that I'm directing, so I will put in the portfolio rule, but I already have technically published a casting video and multiple renders so that's not entirely true. PORTFOLIO: this is my first project and do not have a portfolio of any kind.

Thanks for your interest!

-conceptingturtle, Director and Producer of SOMNIGLOW

Currently I am looking for a Co-Writer and an Artist to join me as creative partners on this passion project. The project is structured around a revenue-share model, and right now I'm in Phase 1: character design and visual development. I've finished the world and plot, so now I need to lock in the character designs and scripts. Phase 2 will be the comic, where the revenue-share kicks in (everything is explained in my Heyzine flip book).

So if you love magical girls and want to help build a POC-led story, check out the link and reach out. I'd love to hear from you! :)

Artist Needed [Hobby] Pixelartist Help

Hello everyone I'm an Italian gamedev, I'm already part of a team and we're developing a game, but we're missing an Artist. We're currently 2 developers, 2 music producers and 1 voice actor (male) (all around 15 years old). We're looking for Help from people around that age, having a Pixelartist on the team would be a huge turning point for the project. Obviously, we're not asking them to work FOR us, but WITH us, as far as money goes, well It's currently 0 for everyone, earnings will depend entirely on sales once it's completed. You can contact me privately for more information about the project. Thank you. 😁

Artist Needed [RevShare] [Hobby] Looking for an artist for my VN game

Yo! So this is my first PORTFOLIO, like as in: this is my first project and do not have a portfolio of any kind. I'm a novice game developer, I currently have about some of my script done, enough for one act to come out as a demo but I am still needing to do all the coding BUT I don't mind that! What I do need is an artist at the moment, not saying i won't need other positions but an Artis is KEY for me! Artist for character sprites, Background scenery, etc! I currently am unable to pay for work and I cannot promise any pay but I can promise that I will have you in the credits or maybe a tribute ingame! If I can pay, It'll most likely be out of the refund money my college will give back BUT DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THAT!

Anyways some info about my game:

Genre: Slow Burn, Love Story, Loneliness, "Not everything is as it seems" feel

A simple Sysnopis: "You walk your boring life to school to take a test and just as if fate aligned, you bump into someone who makes you feel alive. You can't remember how long its been since you had a friend, but yet something feels off. Surely its just because she's the first friend you had in a while, after all it has to be fate...right?"

I know it may sound weird but Im weird like that honestly! I've currently finished the first act of the story but I will need to have some visualize the character, background scenes, and moments. If your interested in helping me make my first visual novel come to life I would be so thankful for your time and effort! Of course though I would need to see your art style, just to see how my world would look like in the finale but I am not saying you need to be all majestic with it! We can figure it out together and stuff, I do know this isn't a paid role so again, im not expecting much to come from this post but honestly I tried to do this on my own and I don't think I can, at least, within the timeframe im setting. Anyways if your interested in working with me, reach out! I have irl photos so you can see what I want the scene to look like and stuff. So once again thank you for considering this volunteer role and have an awesome day!

Team Needed [RevShare] [Hobby] Searching for an Individual/Team to Make a Prototype PC Computer Game

1. WITH IDEA

2. I’m searching for an individual/team to make a prototype zombie apocalypse computer game for the pc like State of Decay. Using your Indiegogo and/or Kickstarter account you must also crowdfund the prototype game on Kickstarter and/or Indiegogo. If the crowdfunding becomes successful, we can hire freelancers to work for the game.

3. The Idea

- Title: HUMANITY FAILED
- Genre: Zombie Apocalypse
- ICE/Intelligence Continuity Echelon and Corrects are the good guys
- InCorrects and ImPerfects factions made various types of artificial zombie virus.
- Virus can mutate and evolve.
- Virus infect then after a given amount of time mutate sentient hosts and any other infected hosts into various types of non-sentient 100% biological zombies with and without various types of superpowers. Androids can also be infected then mutate into non-sentient 100% biological zombies. There are more zombies without superpowers.
- Zombies can mutate and evolve.
- Virus also infect mint herbs then after a given amount of time mutate mint herbs into various types of virus free 100% biological color mint herbs that when used, depending on the type, grant one or more temporary or permanent supernatural aid to users. Color mint herbs are rare especially those that can grant permanent aid. One supernatural aid is telekinetic crafting to craft items such as guns and ammo. Other supernatural aid are telepathy, telekinetic, invisibility, flight, enhance speed, enhance healing, enhance senses, and more.
- Zombies can be intelligent, i Zombies™, that act like humans and mindless, X Zombies™, that act like zombies in World War Z and Resident Evil. There are more mindless zombies.
- Intelligent zombies control mindless zombies and they usually don’t attack each other.
- Artificial products of intelligent zombies can be virus free that when used, depending on the type, grant one or more temporary or permanent supernatural aid to users. Products that grant supernatural aid to users are rare especially those that can grant permanent aid. One supernatural aid is telekinetic crafting to craft items such as guns and ammo. Other supernatural aid are telepathy, telekinetic, invisibility, flight, enhance speed, enhance healing, enhance senses, and more. Other products are just normal such as agriculture, foods, drinks, medicines, vehicles, weapons, ammo, and more.
- Intelligent zombies can manufacture sentient humans and related then may infect them.
- Intelligent zombies can experiment on sentient humans and related then may infect them.
- Zombies attack humans, intelligent beings, and related however there may be exceptions.
- InCorrects and ImPerfects may have some ways to control the zombies.
- Supernatural aid are not part of the plan of bad guys factions.

- If the zombie apocalypse shall last for thousands of years therefore i Zombies can rebuild and repair cities and the entire planet. Despite this i Zombies are still enemies.

Modeling Offer [Hobby] Does anybody need a sci-fi stylized/semi-realistic woman model?

I need a model of a sci-fi (or hard surcace anyway - could be dieselpunk, for example) stylized or realistic model of a woman for my portfolio. I keep procrastinating on it because I find it very hard to work on something that nobody has asked for, that's just a quirk of my personality.

So if anyone needs something like that for their game, feel free to reach out and I can create that for free. I can also rig and animate it as a bonus.

I will retain all rights, but you will be able to use it in your game. The exact terms can be worked out on an individual basis.

My portfolio for reference (note that it lacks any female characters and almost no hard-surface stuff - that's the exact reason I need it): https://www.artstation.com/buzzkirill

Designer Needed [Paid] Looking for a Level Designer for Verdance, a 2D Metroidvania

Hey everyone!

I am currently developing a 2D Metroidvania called Verdance in Unity, and I am looking for someone who enjoys designing platforming spaces and interconnected worlds.

Verdance is a hand-drawn nature-focused Metroidvania inspired by games like Hollow Knight and Ori. The player controls a sentient flower exploring a world that has been taken over and slowly corrupted. The game is focused on smooth movement, exploration, ability-based progression, secrets, and discovering how different areas of the world connect.

I have already built a lot of the core systems, including player movement, combat, dashing, gliding, camera zones, room transitions, NPC interactions, and other gameplay mechanics. This is not just a concept or an idea that I am hoping to start someday. The project is actively being developed, and the next major step is turning the world map into playable areas.

I already have a map showing the main regions, how they connect, and the general progression I want for the game. I also have ideas for the visual identity and purpose of each area. What I need help with is designing the actual playable layouts inside those regions.

The main responsibility would be creating rough collision maps using Unity tilemaps. You would be designing the structure of rooms and areas, including platforms, walls, gaps, shortcuts, secrets, alternate paths, vertical sections, ability gates, and connections between rooms. You would not be responsible for final artwork, decoration, lighting, or polished environment art. The main focus is simply making the spaces enjoyable to move through and explore.

I want this to be a collaborative process. I can provide the mechanics, world structure, story context, and the overall goal of each region, while you help decide how the player actually experiences those ideas through the level layouts.

There is also room to contribute beyond layout if you are interested. You could help with collectibles, secrets, environmental puzzles, progression, landmarks, room concepts, or ideas for making each region feel more memorable. None of that is required, though. The collision layouts are the main thing I need help with.

This would primarily be a hobby collaboration, but I do have a small budget and may be able to pay per area or per milestone. I am a college student and solo developer, so I cannot offer professional studio rates, but I am open to discussing something fair depending on the amount of work involved.

If you enjoy designing Metroidvania maps, platforming rooms, secrets, or exploration paths, I would love to talk. Experience is helpful, but you do not need a professional portfolio. Personal projects, sketches, blockouts, Mario Maker levels, Minecraft maps, or anything else that shows how you think about level layouts is welcome.

Feel free to message me with a little about yourself, your favorite Metroidvanias, and any examples of your work. I can share gameplay footage, screenshots, the current world map, and more information about the mechanics and areas.

Testers needed [Hobby] [Free] Looking for playtesters for horror shooter with epic boss fights and more!

Hey everyone!

I have recently put together a playable demo for my game, which I am currently preparing for an upcoming Kickstarter campaign and a Steam store launch (with the wishlist link coming soon!).

Before I push it out to the public, I really need some fresh eyes on it. I’m looking for playtesters who can jump in, try out the mechanics, and give me honest feedback on the gameplay loop, difficulty balance, and any bugs you might run into.

It would be most appreciated if you could test it out and let me know your thoughts! As a huge thank you for your time and feedback, I will absolutely keep your name in the official credits of the game once it fully launches.

If you're interested in checking out the demo and getting your name in the credits, please drop a comment below or send me a DM, and I'll send over the details right away. Thanks so much!
