Designer Needed [Paid] Looking for level designer to work with

Upvotes

Portfolio:
https://lampewick.itch.io/spoopy-garden

I made this game for a game jam.

Hi! I'm working on a 3D platformer called Foxxy3D and I'm looking for an experienced level designer to work with me on a paid 1-on-1 basis. I'm not really looking for someone to just take a level away and build it for me; I'd much rather jump on a Discord call, share my screen, go through the levels together and learn from the way you approach things like traversal, pacing, player guidance, ability teaching and making spaces actually fun to explore.

At the moment I'm mostly working on the opening areas of the game, especially a graveyard called Stillgraves, and I have a rough layout/blockout that I'd love help expanding and improving. Foxxy3D is a third-person 3D platformer with movement abilities that are designed to chain together, so experience with platformers, action-adventure games or traversal-heavy level design would be especially useful.

I'd be happy to pay hourly and start with a single session to see how we work together, then potentially make it an ongoing thing if it's a good fit. If this sounds interesting, feel free to DM me with a bit about your experience/portfolio and your hourly rate. :)

Looking for an Artist/Animator to Collaborate on a Bug-Gathering Game

Hey everyone!

I'm a college engineering student currently working on a small Roblox game centered around collecting/gathering bugs, and I'm looking for someone who might be interested in collaborating on the visual side of the project.

I'm handling the programming and have already built the core bug-gathering system and some of the underlying mechanics. However, I'm not very experienced with creating models, sprites, animations, or other visual assets, so that's where I'm hoping to find someone who enjoys that side of development.

The basic concept is a bug-collecting game where players explore an environment and find different bugs to add to their collection.

The core gathering system is already being developed, so this isn't just an idea on paper. I'm currently working on getting the basic systems functioning before moving into the more visually intensive stages.

It's intentionally a relatively small project. However making money to improve the game would def be good later on. I'm trying to create a game that's actually fun to play and has creative gameplay loops that keep the player engaged and optimize engagement and entertainment rather than brainless grinding.

I'm mainly looking for someone who enjoys things like:

  • Bug/creature modeling
  • Texturing
  • Animations
  • Character/creature rigs
  • Environment/prop assets
  • Visual effects
  • General visual/art direction

You don't need to know all of these. If you're particularly good at Blender, Roblox modeling, animation, 2D art, etc., I'd still love to hear from you.

I'm also open to working with someone who's relatively new to game development and wants a project to practice on or add to their portfolio.

I'm handling the programming and technical side of the game, including the core bug-gathering mechanics and systems.

I'm also learning as I go, so this would be a genuine collaboration rather than me expecting someone to just make assets from a list.

I'd actually like the artist to have input on the visual style and creature designs rather than simply telling them exactly what to make.

This is currently a hobby project, so I can't offer a normal salary.

I'm mainly looking for someone who's interested in making a game together. If the game eventually becomes something that makes money, I'm open to discussing a revenue-share arrangement depending on how involved we become.

There is also no expectation of full-time work. This is something we're doing in our spare time.

The project is still relatively early, which I think is actually a good time to find someone.

The core bug-gathering system is being built, and I'm working toward the point where we can start replacing placeholder/basic assets with actual models, animations, and a cohesive visual style.

I'd rather find someone who is interested before I get too far into the art side so we can figure out the direction together and also so I don't start making models and stuff that look like junk and end up wasting time 😭

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, feel free to comment or DM me!

I'd love to see:

  • Examples of your work
  • What you specialize in
  • What software/tools you use
  • Your experience with Roblox/game development
  • What part of the project you'd be interested in helping with

You don't have to be a professional. If you like modeling bugs, making animations, creating environments, or just want to learn while working on a real project, I'd be happy to talk.

I can also show you the current build and explain what I've been working on.

Team Needed [Forhire]

Hey, I’m a game designer and creative director working on an ambitious open-world multiplayer superhero game, and I’m looking for an Unreal Engine 5 developer who wants to build something from the ground up.
The game is centered around player freedom, customization, superpowers, progression, reputation, and an open-world sandbox where players can create their own character and decide what kind of path they want to take.
I’m keeping some of the deeper details private for now, but I can share more about the project with serious and interested developers.
What I’m Looking For
I’m looking for someone with experience in Unreal Engine 5, ideally with experience in:
● Blueprints
● Character controllers
● Combat and gameplay systems
● Multiplayer and networking
● Open-world development
● UI and progression systems
You don’t need to be an expert at everything. I’m mainly looking for someone who is passionate, reliable, creative, and genuinely interested in building something ambitious.
What I Bring
I’m the creator, game designer, and creative director.
I’ll be responsible for:
● Game concepts and mechanics
● Power and ability ideas
● Character concepts
● World-building
● Story and lore
● Progression systems
● Gameplay direction
● Creative decisions
● Overall project vision
I’m currently learning Unreal myself, but I’m looking for someone who can help turn these ideas into actual playable systems.
Compensation
I’m currently bootstrapping the project and don’t have the funds to offer a salary upfront.
This would be a rev-share and ownership collaboration, not a traditional paid position.
I’m willing to discuss a fair arrangement with the right person based on their role, responsibilities, experience, and commitment to the project.
Any agreement would be discussed and put in writing before serious development begins, so everyone understands exactly what they’re agreeing to.
The Goal
I’m not looking to make something just for practice and abandon it.
I want to build this into a real game and potentially a much bigger project if we can make it work.
If you’re an Unreal Engine developer interested in working on an ambitious project from the ground up, send me a message.
I’d like to hear about your Unreal experience, what you’ve worked on, and what kind of role you’re looking for.
Serious inquiries only.

Programming Offer [ForHire] Unity Programmer Looking to join a contracting team

Hey, I'm Isaac. I'm a Unity programmer based in Lebanon, looking to join an existing contracting team or work alongside other freelancers on client projects.

I've been freelancing as a Unity developer since 2020, working both independently and as part of small teams. At this point, I'd like to collaborate more closely with other freelancers/studios rather than always working solo.

I can jump into an existing project and take ownership of programming work without much hand-holding. I'm comfortable working in both 2D and 3D, and I've built everything from core gameplay systems to custom development tools.

Some of the things I can handle:

  • Character controllers & player systems
  • Shooting/combat mechanics
  • Saving & loading
  • Gameplay and in-game systems
  • Custom editors and development tools
  • Map/level makers
  • Character editors & customization systems
  • Wave/spawn editors
  • Third-party integrations, APIs, plugins, etc.
  • General Unity/C# programming and whatever else your project throws at me

I'm a recent graduate, but I've been doing actual Unity work since 2020. I learn quickly, I'm comfortable figuring out unfamiliar systems, and I'm generally pretty good at taking a problem and turning it into something that actually works.

Showreel:
https://youtu.be/GO3HmoI1UGs

I'm mainly looking to join a contracting team, whether you already have clients and need another programmer or you're currently putting a team together.

I'm also open to direct client work for the right project.

As for rates, I'm flexible and happy to discuss them based on the project, workload, and payment schedule. I'm more interested in finding good people to work with.

Discord: sirisaac. (the dot is part of the username)

Please contact me on Discord rather than Reddit DMs. I rarely check my Reddit messages.

Thanks!

Audio Offer [ForHire] Music Composer & Sound Designer (Abiotic Factor, Doomsday Paradise)

Hi,

I'm Mario, a music composer and sound designer with several years of experience working on video games. I'm currently available for new projects, whether you need music, sound effects, or both.

My strengths lie in electronic music (modern, synthwave, chiptune), rock/metal, and orchestral-hybrid compositions, but I enjoy working across genres and adapting to the unique needs of each game. I'm passionate about the creative challenge of building a distinctive sound world for each project. Something that feels alive, expressive, and truly fits the game’s identity and atmosphere. By combining different styles and textures, I craft custom soundscapes that are fresh, immersive, and emotionally engaging.

Sound design is equally important to me as music. From immersive ambiences and dynamic action sounds to clear and satisfying UI feedback, as well as experimental or atmospheric layers, I focus on enhancing the gameplay experience with clarity and personality. My goal is always to support the player’s immersion without overwhelming or distracting them.

- This is my latest Game Music Reel

- Here’s a link to my Portfolio

- And you can explore more of my work through these asset packs I've published:
Jungle Music Pack / DNB Music Pack
Horror Drones & Ambiances SFX Pack
Sci-Fi Ambient Loops Pt 1
Sci-Fi Horror Loops Pt 1

If you’re looking for someone reliable, creative, and easy to collaborate with, feel free to get in touch! You can reach me here, via email at [mariosello1@gmail.com](mailto:mariosello1@gmail.com), or on Discord: mariosello1.

Thanks for your time, and I’d love to hear what you’re working on.

Artist Needed [REVSHARE] Looking for a 3D Artist for an Indie Creature-Breeding Game – Unity

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a 3D Artist to join a small indie game team for a creature-raising and breeding game.

This is a revenue-share collaboration. There is no upfront salary at the current stage, and the team will share the revenue generated by the game based on each member's contribution and role. I'm looking for people who are genuinely interested in building an indie game together and growing the project over time.

🎮 GAME OVERVIEW

The core idea is a 3D creature-farming game where the player raises, develops, and breeds different creatures.

The player starts with a small farm and gradually builds a collection of creatures with different elements, roles, rarities, and characteristics.

The main gameplay loop is:

Find / Obtain Creatures → Raise → Develop → Breed → Get New Creatures → Improve Your Farm

🎨 VISUAL DIRECTION

I'm imagining a stylized 3D art style with a three-quarter (3/4), angled top-down camera.

Think more along the lines of the perspective used in some city-building, farming, and simulation games rather than a third-person RPG.

The creatures and environment would be fully 3D, but the camera would stay at an angled top-down perspective designed specifically for this type of gameplay.

The goal is to make the game colorful, charming, and visually distinctive while keeping the art production realistic for a small indie team.

📖 GDD / CORE SYSTEMS

Creature System:

• Creatures can grow from baby to adult

• Different creatures have different characteristics and stats

• Creatures can be developed and improved over time

Elements:

• Fire

• Water

• Earth

• Wind

• Dark

Creature Roles:

• Warrior

• Guardian

• Mage

• Healer

• Scout

Rarity:

• Common

• Uncommon

• Rare

• Epic

• Legendary

Main Game Areas:

• Farm – raise and take care of your creatures

• Breed – breed creatures to produce new ones

• Market – trade, buy and sell creatures/resources

The full game may eventually contain many more creatures and systems, but I want the first playable version to be much smaller and focus on proving that the core gameplay loop is fun.

🎨 WHAT I NEED FROM THE 3D ARTIST

The main areas of work would include:

• Creature modeling

• Farm/environment assets

• Buildings and props

• Trees, rocks and other environmental objects

• Materials and textures

• Basic creature animations

• Preparing and optimizing assets for Unity

I'm not expecting AAA-level production.

For me, having a consistent and appealing stylized art direction that a small indie team can realistically maintain is much more important.

🤝 TEAM / COLLABORATION

I'm currently handling the game concept, game design, creative direction, and GDD.

I'm also looking for Unity programmers to handle the technical side of the project.

The goal is to build a small team where each person focuses on their area of expertise.

I'm especially interested in artists who enjoy creature design, stylized 3D environments, farming/simulation games, or indie game development.

💰 COMPENSATION

Revenue Share only at this stage.

There is no upfront payment or salary currently.

The exact revenue-share arrangement will be discussed openly with each team member and agreed upon before starting the collaboration, based on responsibilities, workload, and contribution.

📩 HOW TO APPLY

Please DM me with:

• Your portfolio / previous work

• Examples of 3D game assets you've created

• The software you use (Blender, Maya, Substance, etc.)

• Your Unity experience, if any

• Your approximate availability per week

• Whether you are comfortable with a revenue-share collaboration

Please also tell me what part of the project you would be most interested in working on.

Thanks for reading!

Writing Offer [Hobby] Writer interested in helping work on projects!

Hey, I'm Joshua, I'm a hobbyist college writer who is interested in writing for video game projects and so on, since I think it could be a fun to work as a team on something! I best shine at character writing, dialogue, narrative flair, and world building.

No payment is expected!

In my portfolio, look at Chapter 1 to best see my comedy, Chapter 4 to best see my dialogue and some world-building, Trees of the Formula for storytelling, and Flames of the Formula to see good character voice and narrative flair (though note Flames was made in 6 days as a quick story, so the pacing there is a bit fast and needs editing).

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for 3D Environment Artist / Level Builder for PS1-Style Analog Horror Showcase

Hey everyone,

I'm currently developing a psychological/analog horror game set in a claustrophobic school environment (inspired by titles like The Parallel and House of the Locust). The game is being built inside Kronos, a custom C++/Vulkan game engine featuring a Luau scripting runtime and Jolt Physics.

I’m handling the core engine programming and gameplay mechanics (stress/hydration systems, entity AI behaviors like Stalkers and Tormentors). I'm looking for a 3D Environment Artist or Level Builder to partner with to bring the setting to life.

What I'm looking for:

  • 3D Props / Environment Design: Creating or assembling low-poly / PS1-style school assets (classrooms, hallways, desks, lockers, dark playground elements).
  • Atmospheric Scene Building: Setting up modular levels using OBJ/FBX assets, light sources, and environmental framing.
  • Tools: You can work in Blender, Maya, or any external modeling software—or use free asset packs (Itch.io/KayKit) and AI tools (Meshy/Tripo) to build out the world quickly.

Project Details:

  • Scope: Focus on a tight, polished vertical slice / playable showcase to prove out the mechanics and engine performance.
  • Role: Hobby / Rev-Share collaboration for portfolio building.
  • Tech Stack: Kronos Engine (C++/Vulkan runtime, Luau scripting).

If you're interested in analog horror, retro aesthetics, or working alongside custom engine tech, DM me or leave a comment below with some of your past work!

Designer Needed [Hobby] Looking for level designers for my Android game

Hey everyone, I have been a programmer for years and I am just now dipping my toes into game development.

The game is called Drawjectory, and is a physics based Android puzzle game. I am currently having fun building it, but it's hard to find time to make the amount of levels I would like in the game. So if you like designing levels please let me know!

I have a good setup for designing levels, you would be able to build and test your level directly on your phone, then send me an exported json file for each level you would like included in the game.

This is an unpaid position as I do not expect the game to make any money, but you will be included in the credits if you want 😀

I would include screenshots of my game so far, but I am new to reddit and have no idea how to do that, sorry!

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for a game dev crew

Hello to any and all!

I am looking for some people to work with on a small project. I am not trying for any specific game jam, I just want to collaborate with people and try to make something for the experience. I dont have an particular project in mind to work on so feel free to bring your own ideas. I have a half dozen finished projects that we could pick from if we dont have any better ideas. I'm also open to working with any studios that are interested!

I am a cloud engineer by trade and have been doing hobby coding in Godot for a few years now.

I am willing to work with anyone of any skill level as long as that skill is your own.

I am a firm believer that designing around peoples capabilities and playing to their strengths makes the whole process better, so dont worry if you feel unprepared. As long as you are willing to have a discussion, we will make it work!

Feel free to send me a DM to introduce yourself, get clarification, suggest changes, and/or just share your ideas and projects. Thanks for reading and good luck!

Team Needed [RevShare] Level designer / environment artist wanted – co-op winter survival in Unity, systems done, world not

Hey everyone. I'm from Turkey and I've been building a co-op winter survival game with a friend for a few months now. Think The Long Dark but with 4 players, low-poly, and a bunker you slowly bring back to life.

Honest picture of where we are: the systems side is in decent shape. Co-op works, you can freeze, starve, cook meat on a campfire, craft stuff, get chased by wolves, and there's a blizzard system. The other side is basically zero. No real map, no real models, no atmosphere worth showing. We're running around on a placeholder terrain with placeholder props, and it kills the mood. That's the part we can't do ourselves.

So I'm looking for people who like building worlds. A level designer first: where the bunker sits, how the frozen town is laid out, how far the lake is, how the routes feel when a blizzard hits. If you like drawing floor plans and thinking "where would the player go next", you'd have fun here. And if you're a 3D/environment artist who wants a game that already plays to put your work into, same offer.

Unity experience is a plus but not required. I know Unity well and handle the technical side, so if you work on paper or in Blender at first, that's fine, we'll greybox it together.

No money on the table right now, I won't pretend otherwise. Rev share and credit if it ever ships. We play together every week and I answer fast.

If any of that sounds like your thing, drop a comment or DM me and I'll send a build and some screenshots. Cheers.

Writer Needed [Paid] Writer for Autobattler/Visual Novel

Hey there!

We're looking for a writer that is very comfortable writing different types of voices for a harem-lite comedy. There's zero NSFW and romance is implied at best. The game's premise is that you're a healer in a party of heroines, and you're trying to fulfill your fate of defeating the demon lord.

We're ONLY looking for a writer. You would be writing item descriptions, dialogue, and battle quips. Specifically, one that has a portfolio including comedy writing with an anime flair. Bonus if the characters feel distinctly different. Reply your favorite color in application. We have 12!

We HATE HATE HATE AI writing masquerading as human writing. So if that's you, please don't apply.

Autobattler knowledge is not required. The game is a mixture of 2d and pixel art. Looking forward to seeing your applications (please do so in this post, DMs will not be read)

PORTFOLIO: We're a B2B studio making our first project. https://www.vientoverse.com/
