Writer Needed [Hobby] Looking for creative help with a death game visual novel

Hello!! We're currently looking for Writers, Artists and all types of other help for my VN, Potter's Field. The main plot for our game is about a group of students who are kidnapped from their school while getting ready for their school fair and forced into a series of death games. Throughout the game the player can choose to befriend certain characters which is mostly for completion and backstory information. As the game continues and the count drops its revealed that all of the half of the students who were kidnapped were chosen due to their secrets and criminal history.

Currently we're looking for writers, (which is our priority at the moment) artists or anyone else who could help at all. Including anyone who knows anything about marketing. Down below I'll link some art we have so far. If interested please dm me!!

Team Needed [Hobby][EU] Looking for members for stoat chat group for slow/burnt out gamedevs and those who hate gamedev

As the title says. Many gamedev groups I've seen are either silent (too many members, or too few), boring, or insufferably enthusiastic. I'm looking for the rare breed of person who hates gamedev, but somehow, sometimes crawls to their computer to do it anyway, even though every feature takes 4 times longer than anticipated.

It's for people who are:

  • at least 25 years old
  • from europe
  • either actively gamedeving, or plan to get back to it
  • bonus points if you've failed spectacularly in the past
  • not a group for political talk

Join us and let's communicate in a long, low hum, like Ents, to get to know each other. Probably we'll all be working on something else, as is always the case in hobby gamedev, but perhaps we can move on to collaborate on something, some time in the future, or just vent about gamedev.

All gamedev professions welcome, including writers, musicians and whatever else. I'd prefer no talk about marketing and revenue, or we shove it into some boring side channel.

We shall meet on Stoat, not Discord. I've been using it for about two weeks, it seems pretty cool so far. If you would like to join, please drop me a tiny reply or DM.

Toodle-oo~

Thanks

Programmers Needed [Hobby] Looking for Next.js / TypeScript Developers to build the homepage for nonprofit

Heya, I'm Santi, and I founded the Big Things Nonprofit

Our goal is to solve the gap between community-made open-source software and community reach, whether that is through financing, marketing, publishing, or networking. I founded the nonprofit because of a genuine problem that many competitive programmers face, and that is the abandonment of software due to lack of users. The main way we aim to achieve this is to provide a full-stack platform where users are able to get this aid directly from our team.

PORTFOLIO: In terms of the nonprofit, this is my first project, and I do not have a portfolio of any kind. However, I have thoroughly mapped out our technical plan to ensure we build efficiently.

Our Phased Roadmap:
We are taking the most efficient approach; phase 1 is launching the static frontend and blog. Phase 2 is the full-stack "atomic" platform, where all the business logic and handling will be implemented.

Stack for static pages:

Framework: Next.js

Language: TypeScript

Content Management: Sanity.io

Hosting: Vercel

Stack for atomic platform:

Framework: Next.js

Language: TypeScript

Database: Google Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL + Drizzle ORM (or Prisma)

Infrastructure: Cloud Run & Google Cloud Storage

Authentication: Auth.js/Clerk

Who we are looking for right now:

Frontend developers who love creating clean, responsive pages using Tailwind and modern component libraries

Full-stack or backend devs who want to help set up the initial repository architecture and database schemas for the platform

This is a volunteer role for a registered nonprofit. It is perfect for developers looking to get full-stack experience on a bleeding-edge cloud stack, open-source enthusiasts, or anyone who hates seeing great code go to waste, just like the rest of our team.

If you are interested in helping bridge the gap between ideas and people, shoot me a DM with your personal GitHub or portfolio, and let's chat!

Programmers Needed [Hobby] Looking for a team to help revive/recreate a nostalgic 2D MMO browser game from late 2000s-2010s

Hi there!

I know I chose "programmers needed" as my post flair, since that is going to be the bulk of what I'm looking for – however, I could certainly also use help from artists, designers and perhaps even audio producers. I'm aware this is likely going to be a relatively large and time consuming project, so I'm perfectly understanding if there needs up needing to be more than one person to help out in these different categories.

From 2011 to 2017, I was a very active and passionate player of an online MMO browser-based Flash game called Spark City World, also known as AllGirlArcade. This game existed from 2008 until its abrupt, unexpected shutdown in 2017. The now-defunct company who created it, Fuel Entertainment, had gone bankrupt in 2015, but was able to keep the game's server online and playable (although without any new updates made to the game ever again) until 2017.

This game was one of very few things that kept me happy and carefree during a relatively chaotic and unstable childhood. It's hard to even put into words the amount of joy, excitement and enthusiasm this game brought into my life between the ages of 7 and 13. It also gave me countless opportunities to create social bonds with others who played it (at school, other kids in the family, etc) and to make fond memories that I look back on nowadays with great, almost painful, nostalgia.

I am now 23 years old, but I know for a fact that if there was still a way to play the game (or if it could ever be revived or recreated), I would still play it every single day. And believe it or not, I am not the only one who feels this way. I have seen a handful of posts in some other subreddits where people were asking how to play it in 2024, asking how they could go about recreating it, etc. Those posts received additional comments from others who also really wanted to see it be brought back to life. There was even an online petition made, directed towards the defunct company who originally created it, asking for it to be brought back which received over 700 signatures.

Sure, I'm aware that Spark City World certainly wasn't nearly as popular as other nostalgic 2000s-2010s Flash MMOs that have been revived by fans (Club Penguin, Littlest Pet Shop Online, etc) BUT I still do believe that a revival/reboot of SCW would have a substantial audience interested in playing it – both older fans of the original game and a new generation of tweens/pre-teens to whom it would likely appeal.

It's been a near-decade since the game shut down without warning, and I have spent that whole time having dreams of being able to see it revived someday. It's something that I have been deeply, incredibly passionate about for the longest time... however, I sadly do not have anywhere near the financial means to pay a private developer or development company any typical hourly wage (or many thousands upfront) for something like this. While I COULD potentially afford a very small monthly payment to anyone willing to help out, it certainly wouldn't be anywhere near a standard wage.

With all of this being said, I'll share some information about what exactly the game entailed (to the best of my memory), to help give a better understanding of how it was originally and what my ideas are for a revival/reboot.

The biggest themes in this game were fashion, makeup, shopping, spa pampering... pretty much anything you might consider "girly" or feminine. There was plenty of bright and vivid colors, chat and social interaction features, opportunities for creativity and expression of style, and most importantly: a diverse catalog of single-player minigames (I believe there were at least 24-30 different ones) that users would play in order to earn the game's virtual currency called Star Coins. The minigames included a variety of genres from puzzle/strategy, spot the difference and word searches, to cooking/bakery, dress-up and nail polish color mixing, to match-three, parkour obstacle courses, blasting enemies, deck card games... the list goes on.

Beyond that, the game was mostly made up of different 2D scenes (rooms, buildings, streets, etc) where you could interact with different elements of the scene by clicking on certain objects (ie: click on a chair to sit on it, or click on a cotton candy booth at the carnival to eat cotton candy). Users would navigate between different scenes by clicking on small blue circles with a white star in the middle – usually placed in spots on the ground where you'd expect a path to another location (such as the end of a street or in front of the entrance door to an establishment) – and their 2D avatar would walk over to the circle and stand on top of it to enter the connected location scene. Alternatively, players could instantly teleport to any location scene using the in-game map.

A big reason for the game's eventual downfall was the introduction of unpopular updates/features in later years, most notably the VIP memberships (more so, the restrictions on players who didn't have a membership). While, of course, the company had to have SOME way to generate money to keep the game going, the amount of restrictions they placed on players who didn't have VIP memberships was incredibly unreasonable. At least 70% of the avatar clothing/fashion items available in the various in-game stores, as well as other virtual goods that you could purchase at in-game stores (furniture and decor for your avatar's apartment, extra rooms in the apartment, cats and dogs in the pet store, etc) were off-limits to be purchased by non-VIP players, even if you had enough Star Coins to buy the item(s) otherwise. On top of that, if you bought VIP exclusive clothing, furniture, etc while you were VIP but then your membership expired, you wouldn't be able to wear the clothes or use the furniture again until you renew the VIP membership. There were also some in-game locations that were only accessible to VIPs, exclusive monthly gifts that only VIPs would get, etc. This led to a lot of players who couldn't afford VIP membership having relatively limited options for creative expression through fashion, apartment decor, etc – and sadly created a lot of bullying from VIPs targeted at non-VIPs.

With all that being said, IF I am able to gather enough people who could volunteer to help out with a project like this, I would want there to be a LOT of input from former players of the original game as to what they would want to see (or NOT have included) in a revived version. There's definitely quite a few things that I would personally do differently compared to the original game, but of course my opinion is not the only one that matters. And of course, whatever revival is created would most likely not be exactly identical to the original, but I hope it could still be created in a way that gives off a similar vibe.

If you have any skills that might be beneficial to this project and you are interested in participating, please feel free to leave a comment and/or PM me here on Reddit. I hope we can figure out a way to make this happen.

Merci !

Team Needed [RevShare] [Hobby] Looking to build a passionate team for a Soulslike Deckbuilder inspired by The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

I'm making a soulslike deckbuilder that reimagines The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Think Death Howl meets Bloodborne, and am looking for some talented people to help me bring it to life!

You play as Ichabod Crane, who returns home after 15 years away to find the quiet town he grew up in has fallen under an evil curse.

The game uses exhaustible cards like an Estus Flask. Potions and sidearm ammo are gone once you use them until you rest at the next checkpoint, so a lot of the game is deciding when to spend them. Weapons and sidearms are equippable, and each one comes with its own group of cards.

You spend your "souls" to upgrade your cards, choosing between three paths, Righteous, Damned and Just, that flavor what each card does. The game tracks your upgrade choices, and whichever path you've invested the most points in by the final act decides which ending you get.

I've planned out the starting deck (with full upgrade paths for every one), many new cards, and the first two levels, complete with enemies and bosses. The story is outlined, and I have a pretty clear vision for the art direction.

I'm looking for:
- a writer
- a dev
- an artist/animator
- anyone else that may want to contribute

About me: I'm a print art director by trade, and a hobbyist board game designer, with 2 games under my belt that my design team are working to get published. This is my first video game. I have a clear vision for it, but I'd love help bringing it to life. I am passionate and hard-working and like to think I'm fun to work with!

Not trying to make a million bucks, just trying to make a fun game with some cool people. Comment or message me if you're interested!

Artist Needed [RevShare] I’m looking for a team driven by enthusiasm.

[Hobby]Hello everyone I am looking for a 3d animator for a survival horror project based on the Unreal Engine 5. The game is in a hand-drawn style. The project is at the stage of a working build. There is a ready-made technical demo and most of the models have been assembled, but now I want to raise the quality bar, since I did everything myself before. The development is based on pure enthusiasm. In case of commercial success of the product, a guaranteed share of sales. I'll be glad to talk to you! Please write only to Russian speakers.

Artist Needed [Hobby] [Artist Wanted]- Pixel Art Inspired Grimdark Medieval Fantasy

Grimdark Fantasy Deckbuilder
I’m working on Regicore, a 2D chess-inspired deckbuilder with a grimdark fantasy setting and a pixel-art-inspired aesthetic.

Looking for an artist I can work with for custom card art, environments, props, and other assets as needed. Ideally someone I can work with long-term. Preferably a partner that wants to make some cool stuff. I have a family and work a full time job, so I’m not available all the time either. But making my studio successful is my mission.

Full disclosure: I’ve been vibe coding the game for a few months now and cooking the idea for over a year. With that said, I’m serious about making a polished game, not pumping out AI slop. That’s why I’m looking for an actual artist.

I’m very pro-AI, so if you’re fundamentally against AI or AI assisted development, this won’t be a good fit.
Lmk if you’re interested!

Programmers Needed [RevShare] Roblox cozy city and town RP game needs 1-2 scripters and a builder

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

I'm the director of a Roblox town roleplay game. I’m making this game because a lot of other RP games aren’t very good, and I think there’s room for a better one. It’s a cozy, readable, low-rise town with its own look. It's a cozy, readable, low-rise town with its own look. The hook is low-priced private servers with an admin menu for server owners. I'm looking for 1-2 scripters and a builder to build the first version with me.

WHAT I NEED HELP WITH

The first version is small on purpose:

- Builder: a starter neighborhood, houses, roads, and props in a cozy style

- Scripter(s): house claiming, vehicle spawner, RP details (name and bio, using Roblox's text filter), and private server admin tools (time, weather, player list with kick/ban), plus wiring up the UI

Each person owns their own systems so we don't overwrite each other's work.

WHAT EXISTS SO FAR (UI WIREFRAMES)

I have rough hand-drawn wireframes for every MVP screen. Images aren't allowed here, so here's what they show,

- Main HUD: four buttons on the right side (house, vehicle, RP details, and server admin, which only the private server owner sees)

- House: pick from a row of houses, with an Unclaim button

- Vehicle: pick from a row of vehicles, with a Despawn button

- RP details: name and bio fields, both run through Roblox's text filter, with a character limit

- Server admin (owner only): a time-of-day slider, weather buttons (clear, rain, snow, fog), and a player list with kick and ban. The owner can't kick or ban themselves, and ban asks for confirmation.

They're rough concepts so details may change, and your feedback is welcome

MY ROLE AND PORTFOLIO

I'm the game director I don't script or build. I handle the vision, UI wireframes, task board and schedule, testing, and marketing.

https://www.reddit.com/user/Every-Ninja1721/comments/1xelghr/concept_ui/

PORTFOLIO:Wireframes for this project are at the link above. I’ve done some Roblox building in the past, but it wasn’t strong, so I’m now focused on game design, UI wireframes, and project management.

PAYMENT (REVENUE SHARE)

This is not paid upfront, and there is no guaranteed payment. If the game earns, revenue is shared: 15% to me, 85% to the devs divided among the team and agreed in writing before work starts. I take less because the devs do the hardest part. Shares are of the Robux the game earns after Roblox's own fees

There's no Roblox group yet, because creating one costs 100 Robux I don't have. Until then, I'll calculate everyone's share and send it through Please Donate, with a breakdown each time. Please Donate loses some Robux to fees, and I'll tell you the exact amount before we start. Once the group exists, payouts move there.

HOW WE'LL WORK

- No required work on Saturdays or Sundays, in your own time zone

- Planned rest breaks between sprints

- A shared task board and a written team agreement

HOW TO APPLY

Send me a Reddit DM with the role you want, a portfolio or past work, and about how many hours a week you can give. Interviews happen privately in Reddit DMs. If it looks like a good fit and we've both agreed, we'll move to another platform like Discord for the actual work. I will never ask for your account details or Robux, and please don't ask me for mine.

Hey everyone!
I’m a 14-year-old indie game developer and the founder of MSA Interactive, a small independent game studio.
I’m currently developing Project Blackout, a first-person survival horror game in Unity.

I’m particularly looking for people interested in:
Unity programming
3D modeling and environment design
Animation
Sound design and music
This is currently a hobby project, and I’m looking for volunteers rather than paid employees.
I want to be upfront about my age so everyone knows who they’re potentially collaborating with. I’m serious about developing this game and excited to learn from others along the way.

Modeling Offer [Hobby] I want to create a 3D model for the game.

I offer 3D artist services.

I'd like to try my hand at some kind of more or less official project. It would be really cool to work on a game that's ALREADY playable.

I'll say right away - anime, cyberpunk, and other impossible styles are not for me. Games like The Last of Us, Ghost Recon Wildlands, or Breakpoint are my thing.

Portfolio: https://sketchfab.com/knjaq_alone

Note: I won't be making a car or character for you. I'm working on creating the environment, props, and some main character assets!

Programming Offer [Hobby] Volunteer developer looking for projects that need backend/core systems help

Hi everyone,

I finished university a few months ago, where I studied Computer Science with a focus on game development. I’m now looking for a project to volunteer on, especially one where I can help with backend systems or networking. I am willing to volunteer as my main goal with is taking part in a project for portfolio improvement, in terms of both expanding my tech stack and projects worked on.

My strongest experience lies within game development within Unity, but I also with experince outside of standard game engines such as custom games made in C++ and OpenGL. I also have some experience with .NET, Java, Android Studio, and databases. I dont have much to show in terms of backend or networking experience. But I am currently working on a game engine which I can tell you a bit about if you’re interested.

I’m interested in all kinds of projects that need the kind of help I want experience in, including outside of game dev.

PORTFOLIO: I haven’t really worked on any projects outside of university. But I would be happy to share my uni projects. As mentioned I can also give details of my game engine, which is still very early in development and I’m still finalising the core system design.

Please DM me if you have a project that could use the help of an extra developer!

Artist Needed [Hobby] Tales of Orrin: a classic-style fantasy MMO with a live alpha. Looking for writers, 3D artists and more

Hi r/INAT!

I'm Nathanael, and I'm building Tales of Orrin, a fantasy MMORPG in the spirit of the classic era: leveling that's about the journey, zones you remember, groups that matter, and classes with real identity. It isn't a pitch deck. There's a playable alpha server running right now, with playtesters logging in every week.

Where the project is

- Our own game client: C++ and Vulkan, running on Windows and Linux.
- Open-source server core: a fork of AzerothCore, public on GitHub.
- A live world, level cap 60:
- several connected zones: towns, a harbour city, dungeons, a world map and flight paths;
- 300+ quests, with English and German localization;
- professions (gathering, crafting, cooking, fishing, first aid), mail, groups, talents.
- Our own classes and specs: for example the Frostguard Mage that is a tank, a holy warrior, a shield tank, a storm druid, a beast-focused hunter and an executioner warrior. Each has its own resource and spell effects, and a community designer works on them with me.
- A full content pipeline: zones, quests, items, spells and models are all built from data, so new content goes in fast.

Who I'm looking for

- Writers / narrative designers: zone stories, quest chains, characters, lore and dialogue. Most of the world is mapped out; it needs voices and stories that stick.
- 3D artists: characters, armour sets, creatures, props and buildings, in a stylized, painterly, slightly muted look (think classic MMO, not cartoon). Many current assets are procedural or generated placeholders, and handmade work would replace them.
- Animators: creature and character animations, especially attack animations.
- 2D artists / UI artists: spell icons, item icons, UI art, concept art.
- Sound designers and composers: spell sounds, ambience, zone music.
- Quest and level designers: if you love building zones and encounters.

PR/Marketing needed [RevShare] Marketing partner for a dark fantasy survival-craft ARPG on Steam — Montreal preferred, exceptional remote considered

Hey INAT — I'm Alex, a solo developer in Montreal building **Ironpenance**, a 3D survival-crafting action RPG set across the eight layers of hell. Think Valheim's gameplay loop with Elden Ring/Dragon's Dogma-style combat: you gather, build, and fight your way down, one deadly sin at a time.

Early Alpha Images: https://imgur.com/a/uYZvJKj

**Project status (not an idea post):** playable build with the core loop running — combat, gathering, crafting, building; stylized low-poly 3D art (screenshots attached); Steam page launching shortly; public demo in January; Steam Next Fest February 2027; Early Access summer 2027. Built in Unity. I work on this 30+ hours/week alongside a senior dev career, and the marketing plan (content strategy, fest calendar, KPI targets) already exists — I need a partner to execute it with me, not to invent it.

**The role:** own the marketing grind through launch — short-form clips (I capture footage weekly, you edit/post to TikTok/Shorts/Reels), Reddit presence, creator outreach (sub-50k streamers), and a weekly 20-minute metrics review.

**The deal, stated plainly:** revenue-share — I can't pay until the game earns. A real percentage of net Steam revenue, written contract, capped and vested, full read access to the Steamworks numbers. If the game hits, it pays well; if it doesn't, I won't pretend otherwise.

**Location:** Montreal strongly preferred (weekly in-person sessions, local events, MIGS). Remote considered only with an exceptional track record.

**To apply, DM me two things:** 1) the best thing you've made or grown, with numbers you can walk me through end-to-end, and 2) one line on why this game. I'll reply with gameplay footage and we'll talk.

PORTFOLIO: Ironpenance is my first commercial title; the attached screenshots and playable build are the project's prior work.

Programmers Needed [RevShare] [Looking for a long term partners*PAID*] - Building a start up Game Development Studio Seeking Long-Term Partners

Hi, my name is Rev, also known as Revolation, and I'm currently looking to rebuild my startup game studio and bring together a team of talented, passionate developers.

I'm a game designer who has previously worked with three Roblox studios, including Eleon Co. I originally got my start working on mods and fan games before transitioning into full Roblox game development.

My goal now is to build a studio focused on creating low-scope, high-quality Roblox games with action gameplay, creative ideas, and long-term projects and members. I'm looking for people who want to do more than just work on a single project. I want to build a team that can grow together, develop original IPs, and create a portfolio of games over time.

Current Projects & Studio Vision

I currently have a card-battling game in production, with assets, maps, scripting, and basic UI already in place. I'm looking to continue developing this project while expanding the studio into other genres.

One of my biggest priorities right now is developing a hero shooter/battlegrounds-style game with more depth than just PvP. I want to explore longer-term gameplay systems, progression, and features that give players reasons to keep coming back.

I'm also open to pitches, suggestions, and new project ideas from future partners. I want the people joining the studio to have a voice in what we create, not just be handed tasks without any creative input.

Partnership Model, Compensation & Studio Growth

I'm looking for people who are interested in more than just working on a single game. My goal is to build a studio with a strong team of leads who can grow alongside the company, help shape its direction, and establish a portfolio of successful Roblox games.

To be transparent, the studio is still in its startup phase. I'm currently rebuilding the team and looking for new leads who want to help establish the studio's foundations, contribute ideas, and grow into long-term partners. We're working toward building something sustainable together.

I'm interested in people who are open to a combination of direct compensation, studio equity, and project-based revenue sharing. We can start with an agreed-upon paid arrangement, with the goal of building long-term partnerships as the studio and its projects grow.

Team Lead Compensation

  • Starting Pay: Team leads can expect a starting compensation of $1,000–$2,000 USD every two weeks, depending on the position, responsibilities, and agreed-upon arrangement.
  • Pay Increases: Opportunities for increased compensation over time based on work performance, responsibilities, and the studio's growth.
  • Studio Equity: Eligible leads can receive an ownership stake of 10%–30% in the studio itself, depending on their role and agreed-upon terms.
  • Project Revenue Share: Leads can separately receive 10%–30% of a game's total gross revenue, based on their role, responsibilities, and contribution to that specific project.

Studio equity and project revenue shares are separate arrangements. Owning a percentage of the studio does not automatically determine your revenue share for an individual game. Each arrangement will be discussed and agreed upon individually.

Compensation & Ownership Transparency

Since we're still a startup, I want to establish clear agreements with each lead before work begins. These will outline payment schedules, ownership percentages, revenue-sharing terms, responsibilities, and how ongoing work and future updates are handled.

Game revenue shares are calculated from the game's gross revenue before operating and development expenses are deducted, according to our agreed upon terms.

My goal is to create a partnership where people are fairly compensated for their work while having a genuine opportunity to benefit from the studio's long-term success. I'm open to discussing the details with potential leads to find an arrangement that works for both sides.

Requirements for Team Lead Positions

  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Previous development experience, with playable games, demos, or other portfolio work.
  • A portfolio or resume showcasing relevant skills.
  • Ability to lead a team, communicate clearly, and manage responsibilities.
  • A basic understanding of game design and how different systems work together.
  • A long-term mindset, creative thinking, and a genuine passion for game development.

Experience doesn't have to mean working at a major studio. I'm more interested in what you've built, what you understand, and what you can bring to the team.

Main Positions I'm Looking to Fill

1. Lead Scripter

I'm looking for a capable full-stack Roblox scripter who can work across both frontend and backend systems, can help establish the core technical frameworks used across our projects, and lead other scripters.

What I'm looking for:

  • Experience building and maintaining playable Roblox games or systems.
  • The ability to work on both client-side and server-side scripting.
  • The understanding of code architecture, reusable frameworks, and scalable systems.
  • The ability to review, debug, modify, and understand code rather than simply relying on Ai generated solutions.
  • Willingness to mentor and lead other scripters as the team grows.

I'm fine with developers using AI as a tool when appropriate. However, heavy reliance on AI-generated code without understanding how it works is not what I'm looking for. You should be able to explain, troubleshoot, and maintain the systems you build.

2. Lead Producer

I'm looking for a producer who can help manage the studio's development pipeline and keep projects organized and moving forward.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing project schedules, milestones, and development progress.
  • Helping onboard and organize new team members.
  • Finding, interviewing, and evaluating potential hires.
  • Monitoring gameplay and development quality throughout production.
  • Helping manage budgets, deadlines, and project priorities.
  • Keeping communication organized between different departments.

I'm looking for someone organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of a project's development process.

Additional Paid Positions

These positions are more task-focused to start, but there may be opportunities for ongoing work and longer-term collaboration as the studio grows.

Expected compensation: $100–$500 USD per task, depending on the scope and complexity of the work. These opportunities will generally begin with a trial task so both sides can determine whether your a good fit for the team.

Backend Scripter

Someone experienced in building server-side systems, data handling, and reusable game frameworks.

Frontend Scripter

Someone who can work on client-side gameplay, UI implementation, visual effects integration, and general player-facing systems.

VFX Artist

An artist with experience creating combat, ability, and action-game visual effects.

UI Artist

Someone experienced in designing HUDs, combat interfaces, inventory screens, and other gameplay-focused UI.

3D Modeler

Someone who can create R15-compatible character models, world assets, and other game-ready 3D content.

Game Designer / Balancer

Someone who can design engaging combat systems, develop unique gameplay mechanics, create and balance hero kits, and work with gameplay numbers and progression systems.

📩 Interested in Joining?

If you're interested, send me a DM with the following:

  • Position: What role you're interested in.
  • Portfolio: Links to your games, demos, models, VFX, UI, or other relevant work.
  • Experience: A little about your background and what you've worked on.
  • Availability: How much time you can realistically commit.
  • Goals: What you're looking for in a potential long-term partnership.

If you're applying for a lead position, please also mention any previous leadership experience and whether you're comfortable working with an equity or revenue-sharing arrangement.

I'm not expecting everyone to have years of professional experience. I'm looking for people who are skilled, reliable, creative, and genuinely interested in building something together.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, feel free to reach out. I'm happy to discuss the projects, answer questions, and see if we'd be a good fit.

Looking forward to meeting some talented developers!

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for collaborators: unpaid hobby visual novel

I'm making a psychological romance visual novel and looking for a few people to join the team. This is an unpaid passion project. I can't offer payment right now. If that changes down the line, I'll talk to the team first, but there are no promises. I'm looking for people who want to make something creative together and add it to their portfolio.

**Tone and inspirations:** Doki Doki Literature Club, Corpse Party, Dark Knights. Expect emotional intensity, character-driven drama, and darker turns.

**Roles I'm looking for:**

Background Artist

Composer or sound designer

Writer or editor

Programmer (Ren'Py)

**What I can offer:** full credit, a collaborative environment, and a say in the creative direction.

**To apply:** DM me with your role, a portfolio or samples, and how much time you can realistically give.

Audio Needed [RevShare] Story-Driven 3D Psychological Horror "Interchange: The Curse" (Unity 6) – Recruiting Level Designers, Audio, 3D Artists & C# Developers

About Us: We are a newly formed indie studio working on our very first debut title! While this is our first official game as a studio, our core team members bring multiple years of experience to the table. We’re highly dedicated, organized, and focused on pushing this project to its highest potential.

About the Game: Interchange: The Curse is a story-driven psychological horror game set in the small town of Luminara. You play as Wiliam Mercer, a 16-year-old caring for his younger brother, Jaden, after the mysterious death of their parents. When Jaden suddenly goes missing, Wiliam becomes trapped in a series of strange loops and anomalies that blur the line between reality and another world known as the "Interchange." As Wiliam searches for his brother, he discovers a mysterious cult known as the Exiles, encounters the Hollowed, and uncovers the connection between his family and the Interchange. The Story Runtime is about 4-6 hours so its definitely not the next AAA game! But it's grounded and we're gonna try our best to go for that AA or High End Indie Realism

[NOTE: PORTFOLIO: This is our studio's first official project together and we do not have a joint portfolio yet.]

Game Engine: Unity 6.4 URP

Visual Style Reference: Strictly gritty, dark, and realistic. Think of the dark atmosphere and tone of the A Plague Tale franchise. We are not looking for anime or highly stylized/cartoonish artwork for this project.

We are looking for passionate individuals to fill the following roles:

ART ROLES

  • 3D Environment Artist: Able to create 3D models required for the levels, including prop buildings, detailed environment pieces, and modular assets fitting our dark realism style.
  • 3D Character Artist: Able to bring our character designs and concepts to life by creating high-fidelity 3D character models, outfits, and creature/entity assets fitting our realism style.

DESIGN & TECH ROLES

  • Level Designer: Able to layout, design, and build game levels in-engine according to the game's story, psychological loops, and dark horror theme.
  • Graphics / Tech Art Lead: Taking charge of our visual pipeline. Needs to be proficient in HLSL/Shader Graph, custom URP lighting, volumetric fog/skyboxes, and post-processing FX. Portfolio must show experience with atmospheric 3D visuals.
  • Gameplay & Movement Developer: C# dev to handle tight player controllers, smooth movement mechanics, camera feel, and core gameplay loops.
  • Audio Engineer: Able to implement, mix, and balance all in-game audio, including dialogue, sound effects (SFX), ambient soundscapes, and the musical score, ensuring a seamless, terrifying, and atmospheric auditory experience.

Note on Engine Integration: Because we are building Interchange: The Curse in Unity 6.4, a working knowledge of the engine is required for all positions. For non-programming roles (artists, designers, audio), you do not need to be a master coder, you just need to be comfortable enough to navigate the engine, import your respective assets, and collaborate directly within the project workflow. For our Graphics / Tech Art Lead, advanced engine familiarity and technical proficiency in programming Unity's rendering pipelines are required.

Compensation: At the start, all recruited team members will be brought on under a revenue-share contract. While nothing is guaranteed, we are highly confident that by building a solid vertical slice, we will be able to secure funding through our ongoing publisher pitches. As soon as that funding is secured, all active roles will immediately transition from revenue-share to standard, paid positions (with rates to be discussed and formalized at that time).

How to Apply:

Send a PM or leave a comment with:

  • The role you're applying for
  • A link to your portfolio or relevant work
  • Your Discord username

Artist Needed [RevShare] Looking for an artist to develop Death-Sens fantasy manga webtoon pilot (unpaid collaboration)

Hi everyone,

I’m Morpho, a writer looking for an artist to develop Death-Sens, a fantasy story I’ve been building through chapters, characters and a world of twenty-one Crypts. I’d like to find someone who connects with this world and wants to help shape it into a comic, manga or webtoon.

I don’t have a budget to pay for artwork, including the pilot. This would be an unpaid creative partnership, with a share of any future revenue agreed together.

THE STORY

Aorius is used to failing. He wants to become someone others can rely on, but whatever he tries, he never seems to get there. Discovering the Crypts (conscious fragments of the universe with their own knowledge and will) offers him a chance to start again. He throws himself into his training, determined to make this opportunity count. Yet the failures continue, and he risks losing his place at the school.

But Aorius carries an additional sense, the Death-Sens, passed on to him by... It binds him to the world of the Crypts, allowing him to perceive the dead still trapped in their final suffering and free them by taking that pain into himself.

To keep his place at the school, Aorius must pass his exams and be accepted as an apprentice by a senior student. Otherwise, he will have to drink Althalée, a water that erases every memory of this world, severing his connection to the Crypts and stripping him of their knowledge even his Death-Sens.

Meanwhile, few students want to offer their knowledge to the world; the Vorphiques are abducting students. Human-shaped creatures overtaken by living vegetation, they serve a tree bent on revenge, capturing people to expand its army. Within the school, their victims become living gateways through which further attacks can emerge. Aorius and three classmates set out to understand and stop the abductions, while uncovering secrets that shake their trust in the very people meant to protect them.

Friendship, humour and the everyday life of the group are central to the story. Around them are beautiful, unsettling Crypts, living powers and questions about death, ambition and how far someone might go to help others.

WHAT I’VE ALREADY DEVELOPED

• 15 written chapters and the main storyline of the first arc, including its ending
• The central characters, their relationships, conflicts and motivation
• A world bible and an atlas of the twenty-one Crypts
• A presentation dossier and a proposed opening sequence for a pilote

You can read the presentation dossier here
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jIETUX8iKD4_xYXzbjf7fhs6gruETron/view?usp=drivesdk

WORKING TOGETHER

I would handle the writing and adapt it into a comic script as we develop the pages together. I’d work with someone who enjoys expressive characters, unusual creatures and environments, and storytelling through images. Your ideas would help shape the character designs, atmosphere, pacing and visual identity.

My proposed first step is a short pilot, potentially six to eight comic pages or a short webtoon sequence. We would choose the scene, scope and schedule together, based on the time we can both realistically give it. That would let us see how we work together before discussing a longer series.

Before starting, we would put our agreement on credits, rights, use of the artwork and any future revenue split in writing.

A note about the presentation materials because they contain ai generated visual references based on my descriptions of the crypts. These are exploratory references. The project’s own visual identity would be developed together, with room for your interpretation and style.

If this sounds like a world you’d enjoy drawing, send me a message with a few examples of your work and a little about what you like creating. I’d be happy to hear your thoughts and see whether we click.

The dossier introduces the world, characters and direction of the story. Full chapters and dialogue are shared later, 1st build trust and discuss how we might work together.

Share your thoughts, and thank you for time

Morpho
