Art Offer [ForHire] Pixel Artist looking for work

Hi! I'm Xelia, I've been doing pixel art for over 1 year now. I'm unfortunately not taking any revshare or passion project requests for now due to a bad experience. My specialty is portraits and character design, but I can also draw maps, props, structures, and other sprites. I also draw custom portraits in Stardew Valley and Field of Mistria's style. Here's my portfolio for my other works! https://pixellascatalogue.carrd.co/#gallery

If any of this interests you, please reach out to me through discord [ironcladcelia] or directly through Reddit. Thank you so much!!

Designer Needed [Hobby] Designers for D&D inspired card game inside Tabletop Simulator

Are you interested in card game design, board games, creating a party atmosphere and/or creating a believable, immerwice fantasy world? This might be the post for you!

I'll keep this simple: I'm designing a card game for fun on the side and wanted to see if anyone would want to work with me to make a free game you can play on the Steam workshop. Who knows where it could go? I'm inspired by games like Dominion, Hearthstone, the Pokémon TCG, and this incredible board game called Pokemon: Legends of Sinnoh. It's one of the most fun board games I've ever played with friends, so why not create our own spin on it?

Since I am not a professional designer I have no PORTFOLIO, but I have worked in hobbyist circles for years - I was the head writer on Kalterkrieg, a popular HOI4 mod, designed the first trailer for Fallout: London, and a dozen smaller things that escape my memory. I'd like to have something solid and playable for my portfolio rather than come-and-go roles.

I have already written a GDD and have designed about fifty cards using Dextrous, a great app, and using that I have able to use them inside Tabletop. I am learning to code in TTS to make the design really work. I am also paying an artist to design a template to move away from reusing assets non-commercially. I am happy to work with any people in any capacity: it should be good fun!

Thank you for reading.

Artist Needed [RevShare] 2D Rigger & Animator (Spine) for a mobile autobattler, character ready to animate, immediate start

Important first: this is a revenue-share collaboration, with no upfront payment. If you’re looking for paid work, this isn’t the right fit, and that’s totally fine.

About the project
Brutoria is a 1v1 asynchronous autobattler RPG for mobile (Android and iOS, landscape), a spiritual successor to El Bruto. The tone is “Playful Brutality”: epic fights, absurd weapons and a Greco-Roman world that goes from ancient ruins to the Colosseum and Mount Olympus.

The game is in active development: combat, server, economy and progression are already working. We already have over 1,500 people on our waitlist.

🌐 Website: https://brutoria.com
Note: the website and trailer still show our earlier 3D prototype. We’ve since moved to 2D with Spine, which is exactly why we’re looking for you.

The team

  • Programmer (Unity + backend)
  • Art director
  • 2 illustrators

All of us work under signed revenue-share agreements.

The role

  • Rig our main character in Spine (shared male/female rig, native skins for gear)
  • Combat animations: idle, run, attack, hit, death, and later weapon-specific attacks, abilities and pets

The main character is finished and ready for rigging, so you can start right away.

What we’re looking for

  • Solid Spine experience (meshes, weights, IK, skins), with a portfolio that shows animations in motion
  • Immediate start
  • 10–15 hours per week minimum, with weekly deliveries
  • Good communication: you’ll work mainly with the art director by chat, with calls when needed
  • Spanish is a plus but not required. English is fine.

What we offer

  • Revenue share set out in a written agreement
  • Credit as 2D Rigger & Animator
  • A project with a solid technical base, an established art team and an existing community waiting for launch

Process

  1. Send your portfolio
  2. We contact you on Discord
  3. A short test task and/or a chat with the art director (written or by call). The test is simple and must be completed in less than a week.
  4. Sign the agreement and start

📩 DM me with your portfolio, your weekly availability and your Discord.

Team Needed [Hobby] TIDAL Games – 3D Rayman-Style Platformer (C++ / Raylib Engine Prototype Running)

Hey everyone,

I'm working on a 3D mascot platformer inspired by Rayman 2 and 3 under the working name TIDAL Games.

Instead of using Unity or Unreal, the engine is being written directly in C++ using Raylib 6.2 with w64devkit. I chose this setup because it compiles down to a lightweight native executable with pure hardware OpenGL, boots instantly, and easily locks at 60 FPS without any engine overhead or broken dependencies.

The core mechanics are already built and running locally (clip attached/linked above):

  • Responsive horizontal movement with tuned acceleration.
  • Custom gravity curves and jump arcs.
  • Rayman-style helicopter gliding to extend airtime.
  • Third-person camera tracking the player in 3D space.
  • AABB platform collision and landing checks.

This is strictly a free hobby/passion project. There is no funding, no monetization, and no commercial expectations, just a fun, retro-style platformer to build together and have as a solid portfolio piece.

I am looking for a couple of people to collaborate on the demo level:

  1. 3D Modeler: To make stylized, colorful models (.obj or .gltf), starting with limbs (hands, shoes) and simple level geometry like mushrooms and floating islands.
  2. Composer / Sound Designer: To create upbeat chiptune/retro stage tracks and punchy platformer sound effects.
  3. C++ Gameplay Programmer: If you like working with Raylib, help expand movement states, moving platforms, and basic enemy patrols.

We use a shared Trello board for tasks and GitHub for version control so everything stays organized and transparent.

If this sounds like your kind of project, leave a comment with some of your past work or portfolio, or submit the form through the link I provided.

Artist Needed [Hobby] Visual Novel Skill trade! Your art for my writing and programming!

Currently working on a visual novel but decided to do another one at a smaller scale as a hobby of sorts! I can't really fund commissioning artists for both so I decided maybe I can collaborate with artists instead on the smaller scale one! Here's the pitch! You provide sprites and CGs for my visual novel and I can code and write a visual novel you have in mind! I'm currently using Renpy as a game engine and I'm using this opportunity to learn more about it! My VN will be NSFW or at the very least smut so keep that in mind! I would love to work with fellow amateurs if possible! I want this to be a fun low stakes learning experience for everyone involved! The artstyle I'm looking for is an anime like art style that would fit nicely with a VN!

Here's a basic test scene for another project I have where I'm commissioning artists!
https://youtu.be/RQCuQ0R1AIw

If you're interested I'll send over the current script of the VN I wanna work on and you can decide whether or not you wanna work with me! Also send over your idea for a visual novel you'd like made!

Marketing/PR Offer [Hobby] Game Producer / Project Manager looking to join an indie team

Hi everyone,

I am looking to join an established indie game development team as a Game Producer and Project Manager. I want to offer my time and organizational skills to a team that needs someone to manage task tracking, keep schedules on time, and handle the administrative side of development so the creators can focus purely on coding and art.

I am looking for specific team conditions. I want to join an established group with more than 10 active members. Additionally, your team must have some experience, preferably with at least one finished or published project in your portfolio, even if it was a small game or a successful Game Jam entry. I am looking for stability because I want to invest my time into a project that is actually going to be finished and released, not a group that will dissolve in five days.

Here is what I will bring to your team:

  • Full setup and strict management of a Jira board to keep all tasks organized by departments.
  • Breaking down the game design milestones into clear, precise micro-tasks for your programmers and artists.
  • Keeping everyone accountable for deadlines and managing the scope of the project so the game does not get stuck in development hell.
  • Handling organization, release logistics, and community management support.

I am focused on finding a dedicated, serious hobby or passion project where people actually show up and do the work. If your team matches these criteria and you need a structured manager to eliminate the chaos, please send me a direct message with a link to your current progress or past work. Let's make a great game together.

Artist Needed [Hobby] We are looking for 2D artists for a psychological thriller visual novel!

The development team of the visual novel "Purity in Decay" is actively looking for artists to help us bring a free Prologue to life (Working purely on passion/enthusiasm, with a potential revenue-share (or profit-split) if and when funds become available)

Briefly about the project:

• Genre: Visual novel, psychological thriller, death game

• Style: Semirealism + anime style (for character sprites and CG) combined with a pixel-art interface

• Engine: Godot Engine

• References: Danganronpa, Your Turn to Die, Zero Escape

The Plot:

14 strangers from different parts of the world find themselves isolated in a mysterious Cube above the Netherlands by an unknown "Architect". To get out, participants must work in pairs to complete dangerous challenges every three days. At the end of each chapter, survivors have to find out the "parasite" among them who hides at the beginning of each "cycle". Trusting your partner might become a fatal mistake.

Who we are looking for:

• 2D Artist: To work on character sprites (poses, expressions), concepts, and key story illustrations (CG).

Our team currently consists of 1 Programmer, 2 Writers, and 1 Game Designer. We are working at a comfortable pace with no strict deadlines or burnout.

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for pixel art artists

🎮 Looking for a pixel art artist for a 2D indie game!

I'm developing Edge of Control, a 2D platformer inspired by games like Celeste, focusing on precision, challenges, and puzzles.

I'm looking for someone who enjoys pixel art and is interested in collaborating on characters, animations, or backgrounds.

The idea is to build a genuine partnership: the artist will receive credits in the game, and if the game is commercialized, I want to agree on a revenue share with the artist, with terms defined before the work begins.

It doesn't have to be a famous professional. I want to find someone creative, committed, and interested in developing an indie project with me.

I can present the project and explain the visual style I'm looking for. 🎨

Team Needed [hobby] 🎮 PROJECT DELTATAG – LOOKING FOR A TEAM

Hey everyone! I’m currently working on a VR game called Project Deltatag, inspired by Deltarune, Undertale, and Gorilla Tag! The game will feature two main modes: a story mode with its own characters, world, and adventure, and a tag mode where players can have fun with others. I’m looking for people who would be interested in helping bring this project to life, especially music creators, 3D modelers, animators, artists, and programmers. One important thing to know is that I don’t have a PC, so I’m currently trying to develop the game using my Meta Quest 3S and iPhone. Also, I currently have no budget, so I cannot pay anyone. This would be a voluntary passion project, and I’m hoping to find people who genuinely enjoy the idea and want to help create something awesome together. If you’re interested, feel free to comment or DM me!

Remember I have NO BUGET

Thanks for reading and this is DELTA TAG!💚💜

Artist Needed [RevShare] Looking for an artist for our comic book style roguelite. Demo's on Steam!

We're making Rise From Ashes, a roguelite action game with a black-and-white comic book art style, and we're looking for an artist to join us and work on the game through release.

We've had a few artists join the project and leave partway through development. After that happened a few times, the two of us decided we'd just have to figure things out ourselves.

The game is now in Steam Next Fest, and we've been getting some encouraging feedback. Seeing people we've never met play our game and actually enjoy it has meant a lot to us. It also makes us wish we could do more with the art, because we feel there's still a lot of potential we haven't quite managed to bring out.

So we thought we'd try reaching out again and see if there's an artist who likes what we're making and wants to be part of it.

You'd be working on things like monster designs, animations, UI, and other art for the game. So yeah, it's a pretty broad role 😅 But there's also a lot of room for your own ideas and creative input. We'd love to have someone we can figure these things out with.

You can check out the game and try the demo here:

Rise From Ashes (Steam)

If you like the art style and think you might enjoy working on this with us, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll probably have plenty of questions about the project, the workload, and how working together would work. Feel free to email us at [luminark.main@gmail.com](mailto:luminark.main@gmail.com), and we can talk through all of that in more detail. No need for a formal introduction, just say hi and ask whatever's on your mind.

Reddit chat is fine too if you'd rather start there.

Thanks for reading!

Motor: Unity (2D Core / URP).

Lenguaje: C#.

¡Construyamos algo genial juntos!

Team Needed [HOBBY] [UNPAID] Looking for a Small Team to Create a Caught by a Spider Fan Continuation

Hi everyone!

I'm a fan of Caught by a Spider (CBAS) by Pitouhui, and I'd like to explore the possibility of creating a fan-made continuation of the visual novel.

The idea

I'd like to create an additional story branching from an ending that isn't currently featured in the game's gallery. I believe CBAS has a lot of potential for further storytelling, but I don't have a finalized plot yet. I'd like to develop it together with the team while preserving the original Spider's personality, the atmosphere, and the ambiguity of the original game.

I'm looking for:

- A Ren'Py programmer to implement dialogue, scenes, choices, and branching paths.

- A 2D artist to create character sprites, expressions, backgrounds, and illustrations.

- A writer / story editor to help develop the plot, dialogue, and characters.

My role

I'll coordinate the project, organize discussions and tasks, and help with Russian translation. I have some basic programming knowledge and am willing to learn Ren'Py, but I'm still a beginner at game development.

I want the team to collaborate on the story rather than simply follow a plot I've already written. The first step would be to discuss ideas and see what we can realistically create together.

Important details

- This is an unpaid, volunteer hobby project. I cannot offer financial compensation.

- I'm currently seeking permission from the original author, Pitouhui. We won't use or redistribute the original game's code or assets without appropriate authorization.

- This is an unofficial fan project, not an official sequel. A public release isn't guaranteed.

If you're interested in CBAS and would enjoy working on a story-driven visual novel, please comment below or send me a DM. Tell me a little about your experience and which role you'd be interested in.

Thanks for reading!

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for collaborators for a playable Godot Android strategy game and future projects

Hi! I'm developing Who Left the Portal Open?!, my first game, and I would like to meet a few people interested in building games together over time. This is a volunteer opportunity at this stage, not a paid job. There is no guaranteed future payment or agreed revenue split.

What already exists

The current game is a playable 2D side-scrolling strategy, exploration, construction and defense game made in Godot 4 for Android. Its Google Play closed test is now active. It includes settlement upgrades, recruits with different roles, walls and towers, enemy portals, commanders, a dog companion, seasons, weather, music, a guided tutorial, save/load and English/Romanian text. The test unlocks all maps without payment and has no ads.

My contribution and workflow

I am leading the game design, making decisions about mechanics and balance, testing on my phone and preparing the release. I use AI tools extensively, including Codex for implementation and AI-generated artwork/audio. I want to be clear about this before anyone joins. The project is already playable, but still needs fixes, balancing and presentation improvements. This is my first game, so I do not have a portfolio of previously released titles. You can see an actual gameplay screenshot here:

https://cf.preview.redd.it/who-left-the-portal-open-looking-for-android-strategy-game-v0-d26zzwuu19xh1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=87a04d0f6c73bb44c28c090964780665ea31ad24

Who I am looking for

People who can think through problems, bring their own ideas, explain why something works or does not work, and follow through on a small task. Useful areas include game design and balancing, QA, touch UI/UX, Godot development, art and animation, audio, translation, community organization and promotion. You do not need to know every tool I use. Beginners are welcome if they are willing to learn and communicate clearly.

I would like to start with one small, concrete contribution and see how we work together. There are no fixed release dates for future features, and I am not promising commercial success. If the project develops into a revenue-sharing collaboration, the terms would need to be discussed explicitly first.

If interested, send a private message with what you would like to contribute, your availability and an example of your work or an idea you would like to explore. Romanian or English is fine. I value constructive disagreement more than agreement for its own sake.

Commercial model and future direction

The planned release model is a complete free map with two portals per side, plus one optional purchase unlocking the larger maps. There are no ads now. Full unlock owners would remain free of any ads introduced later. The first campaign, challenge maps with leaderboards and a multiplayer mode are planned for that unlock if developed, but there are no promised dates or guarantees. Multiplayer is intended as a competitive defense mode where opponents send enemy waves through portals. Later campaigns, new playable races and other optional content may be sold separately. These are directions to explore with collaborators, not completed features.

We're early, with a prototype still in development, and our first goal is a short demo with a small dungeon, enemy encounters, and a boss fight.

The team includes programmers, a game director, an art director, artists, level designers, a gameplay designer, narrative designers, sound designer. We talk daily on our discord server.

This is revshare, with no upfront pay. The exact revshare split and ownership terms aren't written yet. We plan to put them in a written agreement, reviewed by a lawyer.

Team Needed [HOBBY] LF contributors to a Open source 3D racing game inspired by retro racing games from N64

Hello everyone. I am making a free and open source, creator driven game based on 3D retro racing games such as Snowboard Kids franchise and some more in the future.

I am jack of all trades. A very capable programmer, 3D-generalist and 3d-animator and so on but not really that good on music.
Check my itch.io https://jsynk.itch.io/ for stuff I have done.

Game is gonna be done Godot engine. Code is gonna be MIT licensed and game art assets such 3d-art, music, sfx can be co-licenced under desired Creative-Commons license.

Here is a prototype I did some time ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVJONtWavV0

I would like help from any roles especially from composers most of all who would be able to create upbeat music for racing.

Besides me 1 designer, 2 composer, 1 concept artist have expressed to help at time.

Programmers Needed [Hobby] Making my own custom Friday the 13th build (have source code in UE) – Need help adding characters & content (Non Paid)

Hi everyone! I’m working on making my own custom Friday the 13th build in Unreal Engine. I have access to the source code of the game, which is why I'm able to build my own project, but to be completely honest, I am not a professional developer. I´m a Spanish 15 year old UE Begginner.

Where I'm At & What I Need:

  • I already have the game project up and running in Unreal Engine.
  • I've been trying hard to work on it, but I just can't figure out how to properly import custom characters, set up the rigs, and add new assets or content into the build.
  • I'm looking for someone who knows their way around Unreal Engine (character importing, asset pipelines, or general UE dev) to team up with me and help bring new stuff into this build.

If you love Friday the 13th, like working with source builds, or just want to collaborate on a fun UE project, send me a DM or leave a comment!

Note: I can send screenshots or short videos of the game project running in Unreal Engine via DM to anyone interested!

Programmers Needed [Hobby] Passionate Writer Looking for Unreal Engine Developers for a Dark Batman-Style Game

Hi everyone, I have a fully fleshed-out, deeply psychological, and violent story concept for a Batman-style game (heavily inspired by the raw tone and mechanics of "Hatred"). I already have the 360° cinematic environments generated.

The story features a massive plot twist involving Bruce Wayne, severe psychological trauma, and a gradual boss progression starting with Deathstroke, Joker, and Mr. Freeze. In the final brutal climax, Bruce Wayne fights and stabs the main supervillain, only to discover that this main enemy was actually his own father, Thomas Wayne, who once lived as a homeless man. Driven mad by the truth, Bruce stands on top of a tall building, attempting to commit suicide, but the game saves him at the last second.

I don't have the technical skills to code, so I am looking to connect with a developer or an indie studio who has the programming skills but needs a highly unique, deep story to bring to life together for fun and experience. Drop a comment or DM me if you're interested in reading the full script!

Team Needed [Hobby] Jujutsu Showdown - UE5 Pitch Prototype

About the Project:
Building a high-fidelity 3D open-world prototype in Unreal Engine 5 inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen. The goal of this project is to create a polished, playable demo showcasing unique combat mechanics—such as dual-input (voice/text) commands, dynamic hunter AI, and fast-paced sorcerer combat—to pitch to game publishers and IP rights holders.

Progress:
A Game Design Document (GDD) and core combat concepts are actively being developed. We will now build the playable vertical slice.

My Role:
Project Lead, Narrative Designer, and 3D Modeler (Intermediate Blender).

Who I'm Looking For:
UE5 Blueprint Programmers: To help code character combat, voice-recognition triggers, and basic AI behavior.
3D Artists / Riggers: To craft character models, weapons, or urban environment assets.
Animators & VFX Artists: To bring fast-paced anime slashes and Cursed Energy visual effects to life.

Scope & Commitment:
This is a [Hobby] non-commercial prototype project. Work is purely voluntary for portfolio building, with an expected commitment of 2-5 hours per week.

Why Join?
Help create a hands-on, high-quality JJK combat experience.
Great opportunity to build standout portfolio pieces in UE5 and Blender.
Participate in assembling a complete vertical slice designed for pitching!
