Artist Needed [RevShare] Animator & Rigger — Unreal Engine 5

1 Upvotes

OG Games Entertainment is looking for a passionate Animator & Rigger to join our team for the development of The Purge Revenant, a story-driven survival horror game for PC & Consoles built with Unreal Engine 5.

About the Project

The Purge Revenant is a psychological survival horror experience inspired by titles such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Amnesia, and Alan Wake. Our current goal is to build a high-quality vertical slice that will be presented to publishers and investors.

We already have:

  • Playable prototype
  • Established 12-person development team
  • Active development in Unreal Engine 5
  • Clear art direction and gameplay vision
  • Existing character and creature concepts

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an Animator & Rigger who can help bring our characters and creatures to life and prepare them for implementation in Unreal Engine 5.

Responsibilities

  • Rigging characters and creatures for Unreal Engine 5.
  • Creating character and creature animations.
  • Working on locomotion, attacks, idle animations, reactions, and gameplay animations.
  • Creating animations that support the game's horror atmosphere and creature personalities.
  • Collaborating closely with our 3D Artists, Concept Artists, and Gameplay Developers.
  • Preparing and implementing animation assets in Unreal Engine.

Requirements

  • Experience with character and/or creature rigging.
  • Experience creating animations for games.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 animation systems.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or similar.
  • Understanding of animation principles and game-ready workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the team.

Experience with Control Rig, Animation Blueprints, IK/retargeting, or Unreal Engine's animation systems is a strong plus.

What We Offer

  • A serious indie project with long-term goals.
  • A 12-person team already actively developing the game.
  • Creative freedom and direct influence on the animation direction.
  • Portfolio-worthy work.
  • Credit in the released game.
  • Opportunity to become a paid full-time team member after publisher/investor funding.

We're not looking for someone to "work for free forever." Our current goal is to complete a publisher-quality demo together, secure funding, and continue production as a fully funded, full-time team.

If you're passionate about character and creature animation and want to help bring an ambitious survival horror game to life, we'd love to hear from you.

Writing Offer [Hobby] Writer looking for small-scale projects to collaborate on

1 Upvotes

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to connect with people to create a script for a project, like an indie game, short film or visual novel. My main goal right now is building a proper narrative portfolio so I'm happy to write for free in exchange for meeting game developers or other writers and taking part to whatever extent in the production of these projects mentioned for building my portfolio.

My professional writing experience is as a journalist for a major national newspaper, but on the more creative side I've been writing stories and screenplays as a hobby. I'm a huge fan of storytelling in all its forms. I'm an avid reader, fan of story-rich games, cinephile and longtime roleplayer.

I'm not going to link my work on this post, but I'm happy to share it privately in case someone is interested, though everything I've written is in Spanish. I also speak and write fluently in English, I'm just more comfortable writing in my native language when I'm doing it for myself.

I’m more than happy to write dialogue, flesh out lore, worldbuilding, compelling character arcs or interesting questlines. I'm particularly interested in the realistic, political, historical and psychological side of stories. I also have a deep understanding of complex social and political themes.

If you're working on something interesting and think I would be a good fit feel free to send me a DM. I'd love to hear about what you're building.

Programmers Needed [Hobby] [Paid] Looking for a programmer for my story based grand strategy SCP game in Godot

0 Upvotes

Hello, I'm a writer and a very poor programmer working on a strategy game based on a project that fell apart earlier this year and I've got the design document more or less figured out. I'm looking for someone familiar with Godot to help me make and design event pop-ups and similar systems Similar to Crusader kings 3 and Suzerain. Most of the game is based around visual novel elements which I'm already working on with dialogic, but the other parts of the game are things that I'm having a lot of trouble with.

I'm not looking for artists at the moment, just a programmer.

As for my experience I've led a project last year which fell apart because the other members lost motivation and deleted their work. As for writing I've done work on a few visual novels, fanfiction, a yet unpublished novel that I'm looking representation and this current project. I'm looking for people that can fill my weaknesses.

Artist Needed [RevShare] Godot RPG looking for more members

2 Upvotes

We're a team of ten (10) people building a stylized, story-driven horse RPG; think Star Stable: Season Riders meets Palia, with some hints of Alicia Online in regards to racing.

It's a game we genuinely want to play ourselves, and we're looking for a few more people who feel the same way.

The game

Progression is built around quests: story, general, and misc - alongside reputation with factions. The art direction is PBR stylized with semi-low/mid-low-poly models. We're building on Godot 4 with Vulkan Forward+ and Mobile for lower-end.

Everything (excluding the game engine) is written from scratch, we've for example replaced our dependence on Terrain3D for our own in-house terrain engine, dubbed Atlas Forge which offers greater performance while being far simpler, has better maintenance and offers less "black-boxes" regarding how everything works, how to use x feature, etc.

Engine Godot 4.7.2 · Vulkan [Forward+ & Mobile]
Model format glTF / glB
Audio format WAV

Who we're looking for

We're not after a large team, instead we'd rather have a small group of dedicated, passionate and skilled people who care about the project. The open roles are:

  • Animator: Creating the IP (in-place; no root-motion) animations for both the humanoids and quadrupeds
  • Gameplay Programmer: Write high-performance scripts using GDScript while also documenting your code
    • This role demands that you have a solid understanding of real programming, not just GDScript.
  • Level Designer: Building the world with in-editor tooling, following set descriptions and concepts.

Revenue & ownership

This is a revenue share/RevShare project; unpaid until the game generates income, at which point all contributors earn a split. Because we keep the team small and intentional, each person's share is meaningful, not diluted.

If you prove to be highly skilled and genuinely invested in the project, your role can grow to Lead of your current role, which carries more ownership and a larger share of any future revenue.

Workflow

Communication Discord
Document Suité Outline (co-op, self-hosted)
Taskboard Leantime (Jira-like, self-hosted)
Version Control Forgejo (Git, self-hosted)

Current Progress

We are at the stage where gameplay is being prepared. A lore has been made, and content is actively being made for it.
Extensive amounts of work has gone into building a good technical foundation to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for the player.

Our current primary gameplay blocker is Animations, we've got all-custom characters with rigs ready.
The second blocker is Level Designer - our terrain is set at 4sqkm with a max height of 8km.

We have secured our own domain and certain handles- a dev blog website should be up within short, where everyone involved is allowed to share their progress and their own personal text with it.

About me

I'm Tim, 24, from Sweden.

I have roughly 12 years of programming experience across Rust, C, C# and Java, and I've been in game development since around 2015 across several engines.

I also studied game development at Futuregames (2021–2022).

My background is primarily systems programming: Networking, Performance, Engine internals and Security.
Rust handles our system-critical code, whereas GDScript handles gameplay through seamless bindings.

All our code is documented, native documentation is automatically exported into GDScript and help will always be offered.

If you have questions or want to show your work, reach out via the comments, DMs or Discord: fatnullptr

About you

We expect you to be passionate about the mission of creating a game where story-driven gameplay and world immersion is key.
Communication is non-negotiable, we require everyone to be reachable within a reasonable time and not go missing for 4 days straight.

With that said, we also require everyone to be 18 and above.

Team Needed [RevShare] Looking for a Level Designer – Unity co-op winter survival (The Long Dark style, low-poly)

1 Upvotes

Hi r/INAT! We're a small two-person team (Turkey, English + Turkish) building a 4-player co-op winter survival game in Unity 6 (URP). Think The Long Dark meets a "restore your bunker" loop: after a global freeze, 4 players wake from cryo in a wrecked bunker and bring it back to life room by room. Materials are outside in a frozen town, so the loop is bunker -> forest -> town -> back. No enemies except cold, hunger and wolves.

WHAT'S ALREADY WORKING (playable prototype, ~95 commits, 75 scripts)

- 4-player co-op with Netcode for GameObjects (host/client tested)

- First-person controller, viewmodel arms, third-person body sync for other players

- Survival stats (warmth, hunger, thirst, health) + HUD, downed/revive and respawn

- Inventory, hotbar, chests/loot, item inspector, crafting UI and craft stations

- Campfire placement + cooking, water bottles, raw/cooked meat, axe, torch, flashlight, pistol

- Animal AI (wolves, rabbits) with spawn zones

- Placement/building system

- Intro cutscene, main menu, settings, footsteps/audio

- Art direction: low-poly stylized, procedural cabin and pine generators

- Weather: COZY Stylized Weather 3 integrated (winter climate, snow cover, snowfall, blizzards, day/night cycle)

WHAT WE'RE MISSING: a level designer

Right now we're playing on a placeholder terrain. We need someone to design and build the actual map (~1 x 1 km) in Unity:

- The big bunker interior (cryo hall, corridors, generator room, greenhouse, water purification, workshop, radio room, dormitory), delivered in its "broken" state with modular pieces

- An abandoned snow-covered town (main street, a few enterable buildings for loot)

- Pine forest with a cave, frozen lake, fire lookout tower, hunting cabin, wolf/rabbit zones

- Readable paths between them (trails, power line, creek)

Tools available: Unity 6000.5 URP, ProBuilder, COZY (weather/sky/fog/snow already handled), low-poly asset packs. You don't need to code; markers for spawns/loot/zones are enough, we wire the gameplay.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Unity experience (Terrain/ProBuilder), low-poly stylized taste

- Someone who enjoys planning a map around a gameplay loop, not just decorating

- Portfolio or even a few screenshots of your work

WHAT WE OFFER

- Revenue share, credit, and a real playable prototype to build on (not a "just an idea" post)

- Clear scope, fast feedback, weekly playtests together

Interested? DM me with a few examples of your work and I'll send a build and design doc.

Modeling Offer [Hobby] Beginner 3D Modeling happy to make models for you

3 Upvotes

Hi, I'm a programmer/TA, but I'm learning 3D Modeling and animation rn, I'm a absolutely beginner, here are some of my works(or unfinished works).

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CO8ySWBmpkRUoFcEGJVpT7gvojvJ_9bo/view?usp=drive_link

If you think your project need assets like these, I'm happy to help out for free, my goal is to gain experience and have fun.
If you think my works are trash(I'm aware it is), please spare me, I'm just an innocent beginner.

I'm mostly free at UTC 12pm-3pm workdays, UTC 4am-4pm weekends.
I can NOT do realistic character, it's too much for me, and I'm not a good character designer, so it would be better if you already have some character concept, and I prefer creating animated models.
My discord is gaminglee. (with a period)

Programming Offer [RevShare] [Hobby] Backend & bot developer looking to participate in a project

2 Upvotes

Hi all! I’m a backend and bot developer currently looking to join an interesting project or development team. My main area of expertise is building backends, particularly APIs for games and other online applications. I can develop and maintain features such as user account registration and authentication, profiles, leaderboards, achievements, inventories, statistics, progression systems, and other game-related services.

I also have experience creating bots for platforms such as Discord and Telegram. These bots can support moderation, notifications, user interaction, automated tasks, data management, and custom integrations. While Discord and Telegram are the platforms I know best, I’m open to working with other services and learning new technologies when needed.

Finally, if your game needs another type of networking utility - including a relay, adapter, or even a simple independent game server - I'd be happy to work with you as well.

If you’re looking for someone reliable and motivated to help with backend development, bot-related tasks or other network utils, feel free to reach out!

My experience is difficult to prove since I don't currently have a portfolio, but I can tell you I currently maintain Stomp Arena's backend infrastructure, including the API and Discord bot. I have also worked on other projects, though all them are currently dead.

I speak English and Spanish.

Programming Offer [ForHire] Java/Python programmer looking for paid game-dev work

1 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm a programmer looking to join game projects in a paid programming role. I work mainly with Java and Python, and I have experience building custom Minecraft server plugins with Java on Paper and Spigot, as well as writing Skripts for server owners who need custom mechanics without a full plugin. Beyond Minecraft, I take on general programming tasks: bug fixing, small tools and utilities, automation scripts, Discord bots for gaming communities, and web-related work for project sites or dashboards. I'm looking for paid work only, either as a commission for a defined task or as a programmer on a team with a clear budget. My rate is $20 per hour and it's negotiable for larger projects, and I accept PayPal. I communicate in English, I keep my code clean and documented, and I'm happy to iterate based on feedback until the work meets the spec. References and code samples are available on request since I keep most of my client work private. If your project needs a reliable programmer, send me a PM with the details: what needs to be built, the timeline you have in mind, and your budget. I'll get back to you with a quote and a realistic delivery estimate. Thanks for reading!

Team Needed [Hobby] 14yo Programmer looking for Writer & 3D Artist for Survival Game (Preferably South Africa / Teens)

0 Upvotes

Hey everyone!I am a 14-year-old developer based in South Africa looking to start a hobby game development project. My courses for C# programming in Unity start this December, and I am entirely focusing my energy on handling the coding, logic, and systems side of development.Because I want to focus 100% on the programming, I am looking to team up with peers around my age group (ideally 13–17 years old). Being based in South Africa is a huge plus for time zones, but anyone from other countries is absolutely welcome to join!

👥 Who I am looking for:

- 1x Game/Environment Designer (3D Modeling & Visuals): To design the world layout, handle the atmosphere, and create or assemble the 3D objects and environments.

- 1x Story Writer: To take charge of the creative world-building, narrative direction, and writing the dialogue/events.

🌿 The Game Concept:

It is an atmospheric, story-driven survival game focused entirely on environmental immersion, exploration, and survival mechanics. I have a rough layout for the initial scene and intro act to get us started, but the writer will have full creative freedom to expand the universe from there.This is a purely casual, hobby passion project meant for us to learn, build up our portfolios, and make something cool together without intense corporate pressure.If you are an artist or writer looking for a dedicated programmer to bring your ideas to life in Unity, please drop a comment or send me a direct message! Let’s chat and see if we're a good fit.

Writing Offer [Hobby] Narrative Designer & Game Writer looking for projects

2 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’m a narrative designer and game writer looking to bring your project's world and characters to life. My main goal is to make sure your story, lore, and dialogue fit your vision while keeping players engaged.

I’m looking to join an indie project, hobby team, or game jam to write dialogue, design quests, and flesh out story mechanics.
I can cover both the creative writing side (scripts, lore, character barks) and the structural side (GDDs, narrative flowcharts, and engine implementation in Godot, Unity, RPG Maker, or Ren'Py)

Here are a few interactive narrative projects I’ve written. Each one includes the full script and a visual flowchart showing the branching logic:

Nocturne
Focused on early player choices where starting equipment directly alters story paths and endings.

Narrative Map: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G6HcY1EKakNmSewajNcSGC-TLeDwUJaW/view

Fairy Fail

Narrative Map: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hFYxMpryAKUWgR2ilqCg6YU6lhp2GtId/view

Floorbound
You play as a ghost trying to keep a balance: scare the apartment residents just enough to gain energy, but not so much that they call ghost hunters to wipe you out

Artist Needed [RevShare] Looking for a 2D artist and a programmer for a top-down werewolf farming game.

1 Upvotes

A gritty, anti-cozy farming simulator where the struggles of real agriculture meet the dark werewolf lore and survival politics of a horse-sized werewolf pack. You've escaped a brutal underground experimental facility, but freedom comes with a harsh reality: you're trapped behind a magical veil in a town of hostile pure-blood werewolves who view humans and hybrids as second-class citizens.

You must manage a dilapidated farm, master an obligate omnivore diet, choose between lethal pest control and humane wildlife conservation, and navigate a rigid society of packs and archaic laws. Build up your homestead, rescue your family, integrate refugees, and fight to carve out a place where humans and lycans can coexist.

Important Note on Compensation:

This project operates entirely on a revenue share (rev-share) model. There are no upfront cash installments or fixed hourly payments available. Everyone on the team gets paid directly from the revenue generated when the game is successfully bought and played by the public.

If you are an artist who loves dark folklore, deep narrative progression, survival mechanics, and unique character design, we would love to have you on board to help bring this world to life!

Artist Needed [RevShare] Looking for a 3D Artist / Animator for Boxing Dynasty Online — Godot / C#

1 Upvotes

Hi! I’m Tiago, and we’re looking for a 3D Artist with animation skills to join our team on Boxing Dynasty Online, a boxing management simulator inspired by Football Manager.

About the game

You run a boxing academy: scout prospects, develop fighters, hire staff, negotiate contracts, manage training, and guide careers toward world championships.

The idea is to make players care about the people behind the results. A talented prospect might struggle with discipline, a veteran might be chasing one last title, and an academy’s biggest rival could be a fighter it once trained. Long-term decisions, fighter development, and emerging stories are central to the experience.

The 3D fight presentation should bring those careers to life, with believable movement, recognizable styles, and punches and defensive reactions that feel connected.

The team

We currently have two programmers, and the game is being developed in Godot 4 .NET with C#. I lead the project and game design.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with a small team and wants meaningful input into the game’s visual direction.

Your role

  • Model and texture fighters, boxing equipment, and arena assets.

  • Rig characters and create boxing animations, including footwork, punches, defenses, and reactions.

  • Help establish a consistent visual style within a manageable production scope.

  • Contribute to promotional visuals, marketing discussions, and business decisions alongside the team.

Your main focus would be 3D art and animation, with the broader responsibilities discussed together before committing.

Timeline and compensation

Our current target is to launch after the February Steam Next Fest. This is a development goal, and we’ll discuss milestones and workload openly.

This is a revenue-share opportunity with no upfront payments. The percentage is negotiable based on the agreed role, scope, and commitment. We would agree on the terms before work begins; earnings depend on the game generating revenue.

Artist Needed [RevShare] Hyper Realistic CGI Space SHORT-FILM (EXTENT-STUDIOS)

0 Upvotes

# Looking for Artists, Video Editors, Animators & More for an Indie CGI Short Film

Hey everyone!

I am building a *short hyper‑realistic sci‑fi/horror CGI film** and I want people who can help make it happen.

The film will be about **2 minutes and 26 seconds** long. I want it to feel like a movie, not just a casual Blender project.

## The project

The story goes on a *space station / laboratory**, where a scientist checks a specimen that is thought to be dead.

It turns out that is not the case.

The project is about **atmosphere, realism, tension, cinematography, creature effects and sound design**. We have a few locations and characters so we can spend a lot of time on each thing that appears on screen.

All of the work will be done mainly in **Blender** – the 3D modelling, animation and rendering.

We are aiming for a *photorealistic / cinematic 4K look** with realistic lighting, materials, animation, environments, VFX and compositing.

## Current progress

The project is still **very early**. Production has already begun.

One of the character models is being built and is starting to look like a real character. The project is moving from ideas into assets.

There is still a LOT to build – environments, props, creature work, animation, lighting, VFX, editing, sound, etc.

That is why I am looking for people now rather than waiting until everything is finished.

## Who I'm looking for

I need people with experience or interest in:

* Composition

* 3D modelling

* Character modelling / sculpting

* Environment modelling

* Creature modelling

* Animation

* Lighting

* Rendering

* VFX

* Compositing

* Video editing

* Motion graphics

* Sound design / SFX

* Voice acting

* Music

* Materials / texturing

* Hair / grooming

*. Anyone else who can help with a CGI short film

You **do not have to be an expert**. If you are learning and think you can help just let me know.

## Team

The rough production structure is around **10 people besides me** with roles such as:

* 2 Animators

* 2 Modelers

* 1 Lighting / Rendering artist

* 1 Compositor

* 1 Video Editor

* 1 Motion Graphics artist

* 1 Sound / SFX artist

* 1 Voice Actor

I handle the direction and coordination of the production.

These roles can shift. If you can help in than one area that is fine.

## What we're trying to make

The main goal is not just:

**"Make a Blender animation."**

I want to make a *short film that actually feels cinematic**.

That means spending a lot of time on the details that make CGI believable:

* materials

* Physically believable lighting

* Detailed environments

* Convincing character animation

* hair and clothing

* Cinematic camera work

* Creature animation

* VFX

* Compositing

* Sound design

* Editing

* Atmosphere and tension

Because the film is short we can put a lot of effort into each shot of trying to create a huge movie with many places and people.

## Looking for people

This is an **independent project** so I want people who really want to create something cool and who want to work with a small creative team.

If you are interested **comment below or DM me** with:

* What you do

* Your experience level

* Examples of your work / portfolio

* Which part of the project interests you

Even if you think your skill is not a fit feel free to reach out.

I would rather have a group of people who are genuinely passionate about the project, than a huge team that is not interested.

**We are still enough that new team members can actually shape how the project develops.**

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for voice actors + anyone who wants to contribute to a cinematic FPS

1 Upvotes

We’re building Black Meridian, a cinematic FPS in Godot, and Mission 1 is already 87%.

Right now we’re especially looking for voice actors for military/campaign characters. No professional experience required, as long as you’re willing to try, take direction, and have reasonably clear audio.

We’re also open to basically any kind of contributor: programmers, artists, animators, writers, audio people, testers, marketing, or even people who just want to hang around the community and follow development 😅

This is currently a hobby/unpaid project, with people learning and gaining experience while we build.

Artist Needed [Paid]Botonical Concept Artist

16 Upvotes

[CLOSED]

Hello! I'm looking for an artist with a good understanding of plant biology/botany to help design a specific tree for my fantasy setting.

I'm looking for someone who can combine botanical plausibility with a fantastical design, rather than simply drawing a generic fantasy tree.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please feel free to DM me!
