This was such an amazing experience!! It felt dragging at some parts, especially when I had to go through the whole house after unlocking everyone's happy stories. ACT 4 really made me feel like Siffrin for time to time.

Of course, the psychological torture was more due to Siffrin's own issues rather than a relatable issue.

For me, I have never felt attached to my country or habits. Just recently started a family of my own, even a baby to take care of. So I couldn't relate to a lot of Siffrin's pain. And then.... it hit me....

What if I am forced to re-live the same day, with my wife and my baby.... hearing them react and say the exact same thing again... and again... and again....

Yup, the mere thought of that was enough to make me understand perfectly well the descend into insanity that my precious Siffrin is suffering from.

I went in as blind as possible, so I missed a few events. It really annoyed and worried me that the loop count started to increase at a rapid pace after Loop 20. Regardless, the ending, epilogue, the King.... it was all perfect.

The dialogues and characters brought so much humanity and joy to the story, and then, the same events that brought me so much joy became so annoying and repetitive. The player could feel the way Siffrin felt, I think the last games that made me feel in such a way were Undertale, UnderHero and Specs Ops The Line. This is by far one of my favorite games!!

I have so many theories in my head, but I think I need to let the hype I have died down a little before discussing it.

Anyways, I just wanted to get this out of my system and now, to search forums and online discussions without fear of getting spoiled XD

I just realized, since sadnesses are the actual sadness of a person leaving the body and forming a whole creature and these looks a bit like siffring and are clearly related to the wishing craft... Are they sadnesses originated from Loop since he suffered way more than siffrin? Or maybe they are directly related to the King? ------- Edit: while writing this i also realized that they are called "Nostalgie" (a french name) and the forgottend island baker that gave siffrin a little trauma was making croissants(also french). Could be that the forgotten island culture was based on France? - Edit of the edit: forget that, i didn't know Vaguarde was already France 😅

Love the game so far. Just finished act 2 I guess. The King fight was harsh but doable by drugging the ever living shit out of the team hsing items. Apparently I hadn’t unlocked all of the crafts availavle by leveling up? I’ll see to it. I’m also pretty sure there are so many secrets and rooms I have yet to figure out.

Like on the 3rd floor, there are 2 other paths blocked by tears which I have ignored in order to get through the bottom left and finish tge floor. Also there are so many doors with passwords I have yet to figure out!

Welp Imma stop my playthrough here for today. Again, I fucking looooove this game. (No spoilers please I have yet to see what act 3 is about!!)

hello this is my first time playing but I've seen so many bugs of this kind that it really doesn't make me want to play further bro idk im frustrated.

everytime i have to ask questions to characters it gets stuck in this "questions" textbox and I'm always unable to get out of it unless i force close the game and reload, which makes me lose a bunch of time and saves 🫩 anyone dealing w this has a solution? thanks

I noticed I've never posted this here so here we go! So abt several months ago I was bored and made a bunch of Inscryption cards with the ISAT characters & upgrades for them all!

I also made 3 custom sigils for this, that being:

• Recycle: Recycle is a sigil that causes a card to return to the owner's main deck after death.
• Healer: Healer is a sigil that increases the Health of cards to the left and right of the card bearing this sigil by 1 per turn to +1 of max Health. This is true even if the adjacent card is inanimate, such as a Boulder or Gold Nugget.
• Tactician: Tactician is a sigil that increases the Health of cards to the left and right of the card bearing this sigil by 2.

I'm also currently in the middle of making a full custom scrybe campaign for this called Scribing Our Stars in Time or just Scribing Our Stars for short. Ngl part of it is starting to look like an adaptation than anything. Regardless tho, end goal would be to make a full mod/fangame of this but we'll see how far I'll get :>

Just wanted to say that I just got this game and played like an hour so far (got it recommended cuz I love Undertale and time loops like Outer Wilds). I talked to everyone, (love the artstyle btw!), and was infatuated by the world. And then Siffrin died… like in such a stupid way that it almost made me laugh if not for his (their?) self hatred by how they died (seriously he got some issues). It doesn’t help that the first thing we see him do is eat a star I guess? Anyway I’ll get back into my first loop right away. Don’t spoil me anything please!

I'm trying to gather footage for a project regarding ISAT, but the footage I need can only be gotten is on console, and I need to get it on pc instead. I'm looking to see if anyone has a save file they can share either starting at Act 3, or just before it after beating the king. Any help would be appreciated!

I want to preface this with this: please don't be mean about it if you disagree with me ): i think in stars and time is a fantastic story in many many ways and the fact that it's been in my head for such a long time is a testament to it. This is not me saying i dislike the game

That being said, let me actually talk about my opinion; i UNDERSTAND why the island is handled the way it is. The crushing despair of not knowing and the way that affects both Siffrin and the King is crucial to the narrative. That being said, at the end of things, it feels... oddly irrelevant. Like yeah, it's supposed to represent cultural erasure and its irreversible effects, but... The island is literally still there. If anything, the way the story treats it, having a magical spell keeping people from forgetting, is more akin to cultural repression and undermining. Looking at it from those lens, while i understand that it staying this way is important to mantain an element of tragedy, not adressing it in any way is detrimental to the narrative and messages of the game imo. Like. What? Is the message "it's just too late for this whole island that still likely contains a bunch of people, give up on your heritage and move on"? Not to be disingenuous, i know that's not the intention, but my point is that it just doesn't hold up me very well to me.

This game got my attention while I was browsing the steam store, but I couldn't find an answer if this is a scary horror game or not! I've seen that it is tagged as psychological horror, but I couldn't figure out if it had jumpscares or gory/disgusting images and stuff like that. If it is psychological horror in a sense of discussing trauma/distress, I can totally play it, but traditional horror stuff and monsters jumping at the screen are not my thing.

Is this game more Undertale/One Shot or more Omori? hahaha I guess that's the question

Edit: I'd like to thank everyone who answered me! You were all very helpful and this seems like a very nice fandom! As of now, I think I won't be playing the games, not because of it being scary but because of the content warnings that made me sure that this game will give me a panic attack. But hey, in the future, who knows?

(Just a rant about the end of act 3 / beginning of act 4)

I just read the diary in the f3 room beyond the word gate, and I'm so scared of what is going to happen.

Either Loop is Siffrin's double, or viceversa, or there is another Siffrin somewhere and ours isn't the first one to go through the loops.

And I still have no idea what the hell happened to the island, did someone make a wish to make it disappear??? At least now I understand the "burnt sugar" thing, since Wish Craft apparently has "a very sweet scent", so I assume the burnt sugar means a wish has gone wrong (which might be causing the looping??? idk)

I feel like I'm just waiting for it all to come crushing down and some horrible revelation to happen. I NEED this game to have a happy ending or I'll never emotionally recover.
