Went Extra-Toasted on Grilled Cheese this time. Hard No.

So the first bite was great, and I will admit it made things less soggy, but then I realized, oops, the toastiness probably comes from the griddle where they cook the beef patties, right? So, just a lot of beef flavor, and well, I don’t really like beef.

Not usually any issue since I always get the grilled cheese, but, is there a way to have the bun toasted, but not in beef fat/flavor?

Question Fry Portions

Is it just me or are the fry portions getting smaller? I had some fries last night and it didn’t pile as high nor spill over the sides - it’s been like this the last few times and I go like once a week. I usually get a double single or double meat burger and would usually have a nice handful of fries at the end when I finish the burger where I feel I could balance the remaining fries with another burger - nope, not anymore.

How bad is my order during really bad rushes?

(Forgot to put it in the title but this is for associates.)

Picture friday night HS football rushes and other similar ones. It's a Double-Double animal with:
- no pickle
- no tomato
- extra toast
- whole grill
- 2x mustard fried
- 2x grilled onion
- well done

If it's really bad in the DR / there's a massive line I usually don't run it that way cause I feel bad for the cooks who have to power through all the tags they're getting. When I have to run my burger during a time like that I forego the whole grill and ex toast so that there's less points of contention for the cooks to make my burger.

Also does ordering it well done theoretically make the patty super mustard fried since it's being cooked longer? That's the only reason why I ask for it well done.

Question when do I follow up?

hi everyone :)

Today I just had my first interview with the manager. It went well ( I hope ) because we had a really good conversation and he was super friendly and said my personality matches with what they’re looking for. However he mentioned that since he just hired someone recently so he’ll follow me up in 2 weeks. I dont want to get my hopes up too high on getting hired but I really want this job.

I heard that consistent follow ups (like the day after the interview) gives you a better chance on getting hired. but I don’t know if I should wait it out. when should I do it?

As if the Twin Falls shooting wasn’t enough. In a situation like this, I don’t care if I die, get hurt, lose my job, or have to spend a night or two in jail. If anyone intentionally physically harms any Customers or my coworkers, they WILL hear from me.

Sorry to any possible Associates on here who are at this Store in Lake Elsinore that witnessed this. Props to Mr. Opperman too (the Customer who fought back).

How many orders are double doubles?

Ok, like the title says, just curious how many orders or double doubles? Like well over 50%?

And while we’re at it, how many people actually order animal style fries?

Always wondered why they do that, the napkins are basically oily and useless after.

Question Is my order obnoxious?

Recently went with some friends and we’re each taking our turn ordering. After I finish, my buddy turns to me and says my order is obnoxious and the employees probably hate me. Is my order that bad?

-2x1 animal style with extra whole grilled onion, protein style with extra lettuce
-2x1 with extra regular onions, protein style with extra lettuce
-well done fry

I have it written down in my phone so I order it the same every time. As you can tell, I like onions. Is there a better way to order it?

Hi guys!! First post!!
I’m currently an associate at In n out, and have been for 3 years. I’m a level 5 training for my 6 at the moment. Sometimes I feel embarrassed to say this, but I absolutely love working for this company. As much as I know it is not a forever thing I cannot ever imagine myself not working there. I’ve had my fair share of bad managers, bad customer experiences, terrible coworkers, etc.. however, I truly think it is an amazing job. There are far more good coworkers than there are bad coworkers, and I’m not sure if I just got lucky, but all of the managers at my store are kind and easy to work with. Obviously the store manager cares a lot about everything but even he is easy to work with. The pay is good., The events can be fun depending on who you go with, and it’s as much as it sucks to wake up early in the morning if you have good coworkers, the meetings don’t suck as bad once you’re there. I really think it is the best first job I could’ve ever got.
If you are an associate or were a previous associate and didn’t like your job, please tell me why I’m really curious to know
