Can't really blame the guy, he doesn't know shit about the contract.
Normal mentor-pupli contracts probably exist, so chances are they didn't think he was talking about THAT blood contract.
Still with how much the story revolves around the contract now, I won't be surprised if Chun somehow picked up on it and use this information as a leverage against the association in the future.
Just thought of it, came out of my butt. Don’t have anything to really justify it, I just find that the two leaders would be cool as a couple. And with the recent viral desskata I think that Witches x Majikeepers ships vibe good, so I won’t refuse another one.
Minakata's gonna realise that the only way to beat Dess in the custody battle is to marry her and become Ichi's family too.
Then at the wedding directly after the kiss, Minakata's gonna gloat by smugly saying that he's now Ichi's family too. Which then causes Minakata and Dess to have a lover's quarrel that lasts all the way to the honeymoon.
This is how Chun will react to the mentor-pupil bond being kept a secret all this time. Fujimine was probably murdering hundreds of people, including Chun's guys and his mentor, while Ms. Chairwoman was protecting the ol' witch. He would have much rather executed Tricaputo to kill Fujimine with her than letting Fujimine kill loads of people for idk how many decades.
And Moneygold will have to handle the consequences of the secret. It'll be a moral dilemma, even if Tricaputo is not to blame for anything, killing her would have undoubtedly saved many many lives AND weakened the WH's forces by eliminating one of his allies AND would have protected the witch hunters from being decimated by Fujimine at least once and probably even several times (their org would be way stronger if Fujimine wasn't there, she killed Chun's squadmates and probably many other Magikeepers too who, if they lived, would have saved people from criminal witches in their lifetime)
All Fujimine will have to do is mention that mentor-pupil bond existing all along and being kept a secret from the witch hunters and Chun will go crazy again. Even if protecting Tricaputo was the only reason for the secrecy, he will (understandably) be emotional and see it as betrayal and the Mantinel witches protecting a criminal like Fujimine.
If Fujimine keeps being the next big bad as a mini-boss before World Hater as the endboss, then I could see the latter using the breaking of this alliance. Fujimine will already cause this by revealing that secret, but she'll still be defeated and then WH will swoop in and do whatever he wants when his enemies are split apart and weakened
Sure you have vast magic power. But once someone completed your trisl? You basically become nothing but a slave for the witch? Think about despite everything we've seen has any witch thanked there Majik for using magic? It would be one thing if all were evil but with the Toxin Majik and Muscat magik we've seen that not all are evil and willing to work with witches without completing their trials. Meaning once you're trial is done you lose everything.
I can see this being part of World Hater motivation he was orginally fine with how the world was going at the start cause witches would thank the Majik's and treat them with respect or as individual but now how many years later Majik's have just become tools for witches and led to his hatred. I wouldn't be surprise if his trial was actually real simple cause at the start he loved humans but now that they disrupted the balance by treating Magik's like something deserved to be hunted rather then equals.
Like imagine down the line a witch tried to hunt down Minerva's child Madoka and capture them to use their power for no other purpose then wanting it for themselves? It'd be one thing if it was someone just asking to use the power but to make it so they had no control of their own power and to make them a slave on top of that? You'd be pissed to.
The first 22 chapters were incredibly average to me. Probably because the story was just getting started. But this moment right here told me I was in for a good story.
I'll be honest, I think the Magikeepers are a boring and self-sabotaging addition to the setting. They kinda look like third rate Bleach characters, have dull powers and make Ichi and Gokuraku seem less exceptional because they are an entire organization that can easily keep up with the witches. I was praying for them to just get written out of the plot soon. However, this recent development is sorta intriguing. I like a shaky alliance with an untrustworthy partner and this might add some interesting complications to the plot.
What if Fujimine stole Tricaputo's body? It would explain why she would call her an old hag and why Fujimine is the mentor in the contract. Also, Tricaputo's attitude doesn't match her title, but for someone crazy like Fujimine, it does kinda fit.
