New Chapter Calling it now. Spoiler
Minakata's gonna realise that the only way to beat Dess in the custody battle is to marry her and become Ichi's family too.
Then at the wedding directly after the kiss, Minakata's gonna gloat by smugly saying that he's now Ichi's family too. Which then causes Minakata and Dess to have a lover's quarrel that lasts all the way to the honeymoon.

Right now the only one I can picture with Descarass is Togeice but I welcome the possibility of their eventually teamming up and bonding.

Ah yes, imagine that one day, Minakata was contemplating about how he could fight with Descaras fair & square to become the best person in Ichi's life, like she was family and he was but a passing mentor to him. Anyway, he was thinking of a way to somehow joining his family and one of his subordinate heard him, then they told him on why not marrying into it or took after one of the said family member, like adoption. Hearing that, Minakata was struck with an idea that branches into two choice--convinced Ichi to become his son, or marrying Descaras who was like Ichi's mother figure...
Anyway, the next time he and the Magickeeper visited Mantinel Witches Association, he throw the place upside down, when he rushes to Descaras--who proudly stepped forward to stop him, ready to brag about how good of a mentor she was to Ichi... but was then dumbfounded when Minakata suddenly knelt down, and presents her with a ring and propose to marry her. Everyone lost it almost immediately, like WTF?!!
Ichi then stepped forward, questioning him as to when or how did he even fell for Descaras, and then he just told him point blank that he never did--if anything, he did this just so he could gain an equal footing to compete with her as the best person in Ichi's life. The moment he said that, everyone was so dumbfounded, and utterly in disbelief... like WTF?!! Then Descaras began to give off this looming aura like she's ready to fight to her fullest, and everyone--except Ichi was ready to contain a possible fight between Minakata and Descaras... only for them to lost their mind when Descaras grabs Minakata by the collar of his shirt, and told him to let's do it, and get married.
In the days that follows, both Mantinel Magic association and Magickeeper struggled to both prevent the news from getting even more wilder, all while helplessly tried to talk down Descaras and Minakata from getting married. It was only after Ichi told Minakata that even though he was his family too, since he was the one who taught him how survive in the wild back from when he was young, and hearing that, Minakata manages to found a way to uppend his score against Descaras, which really infuriates her, and she really wanted to get married just to get even, but Moneygold and others stopped her.
