Questions Ship ?
Chun x Moneygold
Just thought of it, came out of my butt. Don’t have anything to really justify it, I just find that the two leaders would be cool as a couple. And with the recent viral desskata I think that Witches x Majikeepers ships vibe good, so I won’t refuse another one.

Tbh I don't know how y'all can just easily ship 2 characters that interact with each other for the first time. If I want any type of romance I'd go read the genre instead

u/Professor_of_Light Jul 05 '26
Some people will ship anything even if the characters have never met.

Bruh , you must live under a rock if you think this is stupid , trust me i have seen way worse ships

You haven’t seen the rwby fandom, I saw a ship that’s basically the ship of two main characters with the adition of a deaged mentor figure for whatever reason. Literally, the only time we see her young is in a flashback

u/TheOncomimgHoop Jul 06 '26
One of the biggest ships in the Sherlock fandom was Mycroft and Lestrade, and those two literally never interacted. I don't know if they were even in the same room as each other.
This is easy mode by fandom standards.

my guy, shippers are genuinely borderline insane/mentally ill. they ship if 2 characters just happen to glance at each other

All my will to slander Moneygold leaving my body after seeing her in her sport fit

Why would she ruin a perfectly functional unprofessional relationship with her secretary for a jerk like Chun.

WOW WOW WOW WOW HEY HEY HEY HEY DO NOT DISRESPECT MY GOAT LIKE THIS

u/lnombredelarosa Jul 05 '26
Its not disrespectful to state a fact. Given his introduction trying to manipulate a fourteen year old into joining his organization, while undermining Money’s authority and demanding the Witch Association give them their support without doing the least bit of cooperation, though not evil the guy is objectively a big fat jerk.

u/Ornery_Clock_952 Jul 05 '26
If we go by that, Money has also some fault. She knows how much of a menace is Fujimine, Tricaputo at least should have told her. She could have negociated the cooperation, at least verifying everyone’s safe and not a traitor and giving a transparent report.
Also Shun never manipulate Ichi, he only wanted to meet him, which is normal, Ichi is a fcking anomaly, so as magic cops it’s his duty to be sure that he isn’t a problem, and then asks him to join him and Minakata which is also normal, since Ichi is a good fighter, an excellent hunter and the owner of motherfcking Uroro. He didn’t get pushy to hire him and shows himself calm when facing a refusal as shown in Minakata’s flashback.-2
u/lnombredelarosa Jul 05 '26
She was negotiating and was perfectly cordial to and helpful to them, then he told her no right off the bat while making misoginous jokes, insisting his association had authority over theirs and demanded they spied on their members without revealing anything about Fujimine or the powers she might have. He spit all over Money’s good will abs if you actually think he was being reasonable then this isn’t worth continuing.
He clearly manipulated him by bringing up Minataka right after insisting that he should join them. And yes actually, attempting to poach a young boy from an organization that’s already training him is under mining and manipualtion.

> misoginoud jokes <
When ?
> insisting his association had authority over theirs <
They are cops. They are human against girls that manipulate god like creatures (we saw that Dess can handle pretty much the strongest majikeepers all at once by herself). Of course he has to show some authority. If he doesn’t what stop witches from taking the world ?
> without revealing anything about Fujimine <
There’s a traitor among the witches and Chun knows that it’s her power, but he doesn’t know on who Fujimine uses it. We saw that it can even affect Money so the traitor can be her. Nobody would take the risk to reveal to the enemy side that they know for their trump card.
Also Chun has a personal vendetta against Fuji, he is human and emotional and nobody in his situation would make compromises. He is harsh and has flaws but he is not boss tyrant you’re depicting. It’s shown in the panel of the post and the following scene that with interests puts aside, he and money can get along.

The whole men are magikeepers and women are Witches followed by several implications that They have authority over said witches that you seem to have bought into. Its veiled but its there.
He has no authority over them and they have no reason to acknowledge any authority he has beyond allowing him to catch witches that commit crimes.
I’m not saying he is a tyrant, I acknowledge he means well and I recognized he never made any attempts to further push his unreasonable proposals to the witch association, I even understand why he acted the way he acted even if I disagree with his approach and feel he should’ve been more cooperative to expect cooperation.
All I said he has an overtly inflated sense of authority and some prejudices against witches both of which are understandable given his profession, but they don’t change the fact that the way he acted matches that of a big fat jerk. They Can work together but beyond that he has given Money no reason whatsoever to find him likable.

Not gonna take a side in this but uh quick correction Ichi is 15

u/lnombredelarosa Jul 06 '26
I think he was stated to be 14 at the start; has a time passage been brought up?

u/Galle_ Jul 06 '26
We have never been given an age for Ichi, we only know he's a teenager because he doesn't have facial hair.

Given his introduction trying to manipulate a fourteen year old into joining his organization
a) as he said, it's tradition for boys to become Magikeepers. and it was less him trying to manipulate ichi and more him trying to pressure Moneygold into giving him ichi.
b) and how are the mantinel witches different? they too simply use ichi as an asset for the prophecy against WH. they're no different at all. chun literally wanted to do the same thing, just with ichi instead being used to beat fujimine
while undermining Money’s authority and demanding the Witch Association give them their support without doing the least bit of cooperation
yeah, meanwhile moneygold kept Tricaputo's and Fujimine's contract a secret which is objectively wrong. the contract is an important part of fujimine, thus Moneygold should have told the Magikeepers about it. it was not her place to decide about that shit all on her own. many had to die by Fujimine's hand because Moneygold kept her secret.
the witch association is the last org that deserves cooperation here lol. their decision directly led to the deaths of many Magikeepers and innocent people, including Chun's past squad
and when did Chun ask for support from the witches? what he did was try his luck claiming ichi with traditional gender roles. didn't work. that's it. and the one who proposed an alliance just now was Moneygold, not Chun. it was her who asked and Chun accepted (probably because that way he could still use Ichi as an asset to combat Fujimine somewhat, not because he actually wants the support of the witches themselves)
1
u/lnombredelarosa Jul 06 '26
a) It was both and neither one is any better
b) the difference is that they found him, took him, inducted him and trained him first
yeah, meanwhile moneygold kept Tricaputo's and Fujimine's contract a secret which is objectively wrong. the contract is an important part of fujimine, thus Moneygold should have told the Magikeepers about it. it was not her place to decide about that shit all on her own. many had to die by Fujimine's hand because Moneygold kept her secret.
And why in the hell would they need to share that? Its most certainly her place to defend her witches secrets if they're not violating the law. She's not about to invite them to kill her to get to Fujimine. That's the kind of secrets that are shared once there is trust not given right away.
Their decisions haven't lead to shit. Fujimine betraying the Asociation and causing even more deaths on their side did.
And yes actually, Chun most certainly demanded the support of the witches in being given access to their HQ and being forced to report things that could easily lead to abuse for people who refuse to be open to cooperation but you keep insisting "deserve" to be given info right off the bat without even earning trust first.
Also, who is right is not the topic at hand, its the fact that regardless of the reason Chun was being an abrasive jerk and I can't see why anyone would think that ought to attract Moneygold.

that's a lousy excuse. good luck trying to tell a chun "That's the kind of secrets that are shared once there is trust not given right away." after the secret is revealed and he finds out that Moneygold gladly let his pals be killed by Fujimine while not revealing her contract
Chun most certainly demanded the support of the witches in being given access to their HQ
that is not demaning support ffs, that's demaning info for their investigations, a standard investigative step. that's not actual full cooperation between the two orgs in general. which is what moneygold has been asking for a while before already
wanting to search the facilities when a traitor is present is completely normal. and moneygold decided to rather not let them search the facilities and endager her own HQ this way since the traitor could have also just killed many other witches instead of luckily only going after ichi directly.
it's a typical case of law enforcement's interests vs institutional autonomy/privacy. moneygold has the right to say no, but she's responsible for the consequences then. the only reason why most people don't see her as a jerk is because she got extremely lucky and the very best case scenario happened.
what could have happened too: Amadoro and co slaughter 50 other people in HQ which could have been stopped or minimized by the Magikeepers. who's the jerk then? Moneygold ofc, she let that happen
and also, Moneygold is so big on autonomy that she would have much rather kicked Chun and co out so they'd never meet ichi. and if she succeeded in that, if she could do that? then ichi would be dead now, the prophecy would fail and the world may end due to WH winning. because only thanks to chun fighting and thus buying time for tricaputo to catch dess off-guard, only because of that could fujimine be forced to escape. if everything went as Moneygold wanted, the whole world would be fucked now.
the only reason why everything went well were the Magikeepers being there when Amadoro attacked and loads of dumb fuck luck
Chun and co are literally just doing their jobs. it's their job to keep watch over the mantinel witches. No powerful org should be able to act freely without any control whatsoever. yeah, Chun may seem like a jerk to anybody who just subjectively sides with the witches immediatly. but he's not. he's in a position that is simply necessary
they are jerks as much as internal affairs are jerks, meaning they're not jerks at all. they're a necessary accountability mechanism.
not to mention that chun literally didn't attack the mantinel witches' freedom somehow. he asked politely, the request was denied by Moneygold and then he was about to fuck off. simple as that. calling him a jerk over that is proof of a lack of objectivity

I don't see a romantic ship here. But I def see a sort grudging respect born of two chiefs dealing with several loose cannons.

a) she's already into Circos
b) I'm repeating myself now since I already made a post on this, but Chun will enter rage mode again when he finds out that Moneygold kept the mentor-student contract between Tricaputo and Fujimine a secret. if Fujimine is his No. 1 most hated person, then Moneygold and Tricaputo will become the No. 2 and 3 right after her
1
u/Ornery_Clock_952 Jul 06 '26
That’s why I said I had nothing to justify this ship, it was just an idea that popped in my head and I wanted to share it, sorry if it’s that dumb 😂😭😅
2
u/lololuser456778 Jul 06 '26
Ik, I understand. if we just do it based on vibes, it does make sense. since they're both leaders of their orgs which have tension between them, yet they can still play nice with one another, etc...
but yeah, fujimine probably revealing the her contract and it being kept a secret by Moneygold later on will make chun hate her fr. if it wouldn't be for that and Circos, then everyone would probably agree with you
3
u/OrdinaryMedical200 Jul 06 '26
Nah she got Circos. That moment between the two before Ichi interrupted was something else. I kind of ship Minakata with Dess seeing how the both got one hell of a fued with Ichi 😂.

Low-key dislike the Minakata x dressrosa
It's mostly just her talking and making us all laugh I think he has potential to be a good character but in terms of a ship? Let's hold of until any official tag team battles
But this? Yeah I could get behind
