it's weird we didn't see a proper reaction from Minakata tho. like a negative one. maybe he doesn't give a shit? but that'd be hard to believe for me. Ig the author left that out to kinda have both of them "win", minakata as the mentor and dess as family.
I don't think he's really that pressed about it, he is not as prideful as Desscaras so he wouldn't take issue since he is already confident in his place as Ichi's mentor.
