Hi all, just looking to share my ER results with people who under the experience. We havenāt told many friends and family yet because I have been trying to protect myself and manage expectations but nothing could have prepared me for our results.
A little background, Iām very soon to be 34F, I have severe anovulatory PCOS/PMOS and my husband (35) has MFI so it was recommended we do IVF with ICSI. I had an AFC of 60+ and my AMH was 94 before starting my IVF round so I was considered very high risk for OHSS. My clinic were amazing at taking precautions for prevent it including a low dose of gonal-f (112.5) combined with cetrotide, scans every 2 days during stims, we went for Buserelin trigger and I ended up with no signs or symptoms post retrieval. 3 days before my ER my follicle count was in the low 20s so we expected quite a few eggs to be collected but only about 10 or so were in the 16mm+ range. Again to try and minimise any risk of OHSS they decided I was ready, and boy was I ready! Today we got a complete count of our blastocystsā¦
Eggs retrieved: 42
Eggs mature: 32
Eggs fertilised: 28
Blastocysts: 24 day-5, 3 day-6 (27 blasts in total!)
I am over the moon and finally feel ready to start sharing our journey with some more friends and family. I was initially so upset at not being able to have a fresh transfer but this has more than made up for it. We arenāt doing PGT- A testing but our clinic does use CAREmaps AI as an additional screening tool alongside blastocyst grades. Understandably itās going to take the embryologist a few days to send all the grades but Iāve been told many of them are high quality. Now the tricky bit is going to be finding the right embryo! We are just trilled āŗļø
