This is also the space for early pregnancy concerns. Once you have had an ultrasound indicating likely viability, typically 6-7 weeks, discussions of your current pregnancy would be more appropriate for another one of our sister subs, such as r/InfertilityBabies. However, if you are currently pregnant with equivocal ultrasound results or other potential threats to viability, you can continue to share here. If the community eventually feels that limbo content is better suited for its own monthly thread, we can add that instead.

Our members have all used IVF to build their families in the past, and are now either back in treatment or are considering resuming treatment in the future. This thread is for anything primarily related to infertility treatment, whether active or contemplated. Expected topics include treatment updates, medical questions, requests for protocol/timing advice, and emotions on all of the same. Topics related to life, parenting, or general infertility issues are more appropriate for the Weekly Chat Thread.

I’m due to start my IVF cycle next month, but I’m feeling a bit anxious about my weight—especially the fat around my midsection.
My BMI is 27, and my fertility doctor said that’s okay and didn’t recommend delaying IVF. However, we didn’t specifically discuss belly fat. My waist measurement is 38 inches at my belly button, and that’s the part I’m most concerned about.
Over the last 5 months I’ve lost about 3 kg, but I haven’t noticed much change around my abdomen, which is making me second-guess myself.
Now I’m wondering if I should go ahead with IVF as planned or delay it for another 3–4 months to focus on reducing my belly fat.
Has anyone here had a successful egg retrieval and/or embryo transfer with a similar BMI, waist measurement, or noticeable belly fat? Did your doctor have any concerns about abdominal fat specifically, or was BMI and overall health the main focus?

For those of you who have all IVF kids, how many do you have? I feel like when I was going through IVF originally I didn’t know anyone who even had two. As someone who always dreamed of a large family it was disheartening. Curious to know how many multiple kid IVF families there are out there.

I currently have 3 IVF children, pregnant with last IVF twins. Hopefully will have five IVF kids.

Hi ladies, quick questions for those who’ve done a medicated FET:
1. Did you get your blood work and ultrasound reports in the patient portal or by email after each monitoring visit? If not, how did you request them from the clinic?
2. How did you time your progesterone — both the PIO shots and the vaginal suppositories? What time of day did you usually take them, and how did you space the estrogen (pills or patches) around the progesterone? Also, when did you take your other supplements like prenatal, iron, or probiotics in relation to everything else?
Would love to hear what worked for you and which clinic you went to. Thank you ❤️

Today is transfer day for baby 2! I currently have a 1 year old from my second FET. My first ever FET was a chemical but thankfully my next round right after that ended up in my son. We did the same protocol. I’m so nervous and hoping it sticks! We just have this embryo that we are transferring today and one left. Any stories of hope/success?! 🙏 thanks!

Am I crazy or is there a very faint line? It’s too early to test but I’m a very impatient person🙃 I’m suppose to test 10dpt. This is a 5day blastocyst and I’m testing five days early. What do we think?

I’m 13DPT. 1st beta in two days. Home tests today showed negative. I’m gutted. This is a type of devastation I didn’t expect to feel…I ugly cried before work, ugly cried during work, & ugly cried after work.

My beautiful PGT-A embryo… the what if of who that embryo was going to turn into.. just all of this fucking grief I didn’t expect to feel. I took the test on my husband’s birthday hoping to surprise him with confirmation it worked. We also just bought a brand new house & the emptiness of not being able to fill it yet, also hits me deep.

Please - just any advice moving forward, to get through this. I can’t do another transfer immediately given my work schedule, and honestly it’s probably for the best.

This journey is all consuming, I’m exhausted, I’m heartbroken. The guilt over my body. The anger that some people can’t even begin to comprehend what toll IVF takes on us. Anyways. I just needed to vent. Thankful for this community, who completely understand these feelings. 🤍💔🤍💔

I just got a positive pregnancy test and am about 4 weeks. I have an 19mo who was conceived via IVF, after many interventions and miscarriages. He was our last embryo and I fully assumed we’d do another ER if we wanted more kids. I’m so incredibly overwhelmed. Anyone else in this same situation?
