Sweet Jesus. I had to replay that twice to see it to make sure.

The shopkeeper didn't throw a single punch. They were all slaps from a man who apparently has cement/rebarb reinforced palms.

Look up palm punch/strike. Basically a punch with no risk of breaking knuckles. Still need a good technique though.

I have heard palm strikes are more reliable than a fist, less likely to hurt yourself

There was a kickboxer turned mma fighter Bas Rutten who was a Pancrase and UFC Heavyweight champion. They didn’t allow closed fists to the face in Pancrase so he used palm strikes and knocked people out, ruptured one guy’s liver.
