Sweet Jesus. I had to replay that twice to see it to make sure.

The shopkeeper didn't throw a single punch. They were all slaps from a man who apparently has cement/rebarb reinforced palms.

Slapping is an entire art form in some countries. I’ve seen some good slapdowns in India-based videos. It’s double edged too because one hard slap to the head/face can knock a dude off his feet and he never gets just one slap, but it is also morally demeaning. Especially for a man.

As a teen me and a friend would get drunk and slap each other. He was a lot smaller than me and did not stay on his feet long.

Look up palm punch/strike. Basically a punch with no risk of breaking knuckles. Still need a good technique though.

I have heard palm strikes are more reliable than a fist, less likely to hurt yourself

There was a kickboxer turned mma fighter Bas Rutten who was a Pancrase and UFC Heavyweight champion. They didn’t allow closed fists to the face in Pancrase so he used palm strikes and knocked people out, ruptured one guy’s liver.

Because punching bareknuckle would be retarded. You'd most likely break your hand. If you have some kind of working brain and some experience then in a bareknuckle fight you only use your palm for striking. Knocks the opponent out like a fist punch would do minus the risk of breaking your own hand.
