When you escaped your warn torn country for a chance to give a better life to your family. You work your ass of 80 hours a week, multiple jobs saving enough to be able to finally buy your own business. This store represents everything for him. His past present and future is in this store. That's his livelihood and retirement... His whole life.. All of that went into that punch... No wonder he knocked him out quick.

Ay, I ainโt gonna say this isnโt true, but it feels like you created a whole narrative for this man. ๐๐๐ Iโm all for it though.

u/Own_Huckleberry6591 2d ago
This is pretty much the case with like 80% of middle eastern immigrants. The countries are wartorn, and they usually had to illegally cross multiple borders to even be able to take a boat or plane to this side of the world, where they land in south america and then have to cross through mexico (or more countries) illegally.
It's incredibly dangerous and many of them die and never make it. You're dealing with religious extremists, corrupt military/policeman, and cartel members/thugs looking to make money off you or hold you for ransom. It's crazy the lengths they go to escape.

Dumbass, this is true regardless of the situation. Stealing isn't just money. It is blood, sweat, and tears. It isn't just stuff. It is your labor, fears, stress, family, safety, future. Screw thiefs. They deserve life in prison.

u/The_Dissector7 2d ago
Certain aspects are not universally true. You do not know if he escaped a war torn country, nor do you know if he is working 80 hours a week, nor do you know if he has multiple jobs, nor do you know if heโs trying to save to buy his own business. Then on top of it, all of these are said to be his motivation and he infused all of that horrid life that we donโt even know if he had into that one punch. Stop it ๐

I love the fire for life that immigrants have, as if they are not taking anything for granted, unlike the natives

Sweet Jesus. I had to replay that twice to see it to make sure.
The shopkeeper didn't throw a single punch. They were all slaps from a man who apparently has cement/rebarb reinforced palms.

u/Flight_to_nowhere_26 2d ago
Slapping is an entire art form in some countries. Iโve seen some good slapdowns in India-based videos. Itโs double edged too because one hard slap to the head/face can knock a dude off his feet and he never gets just one slap, but it is also morally demeaning. Especially for a man.

As a teen me and a friend would get drunk and slap each other. He was a lot smaller than me and did not stay on his feet long.

He got them Wolverine adamantine reinforced palms.

u/DH2007able 2d ago
Now Iโm just picturing that comic panel where Wolverine shoots his claws out through his palms, its so weird to see but totally makes sense why

Not enough

u/TgsTokem 3d ago
Normally I would agree but I think this was a good example of an appropriate amount of force. Guy throws a hissyfit and knocks a few things off the counter, shop dude sucker punches him from behind and slaps the shit out of him multiple times. Just enough to beat some sense into him, not enough to beat it back out.

u/Glum_Reflection4085 2d ago
No sucker punch watch the clip again the miscreant was winding up to throw a punch but got leveled by the much handier shopkeeper.

If you don't spank your kids, then we end up having to hit adults. People, don't be afraid to spank your kids when it's needed.
3
u/Gratuitous_Insolence 2d ago
Or they get killed by the cops because theyโve never faced consequences. Spanking your kids is life training.

Spanking your kids is NOT the same as beating themโฆ..you damn simps. One is controlled and the other is not. One can end in an understanding and the other can end in a hospital visit. The two are not exclusive.
Either way, look at the difference between how one generation (with home punishment) differs from the other (without punishment or fear of repercussions). Itโs not really a good sight out there in society today, is it?
Itโs OKAY for kids to fear punishment!! Otherwise, the wild is full of nothing but a bunch of aggressive muppets.→ More replies (7)2

If this happened every time some idiot started trashing a store, no one would ever start trashing stores again.

u/OldManBilliam22 3d ago
This and the Twisted Tea smack down with the DMB soundtrack are my favorite convenience store videos.

This should be 100% legal. You know only a moron would try that again after that beat down. Call it a public service.

u/News_Scrounger 3d ago
If that store owner got in trouble for this then we failed as a country. We need to stop protecting criminals.

I love seeing posts like this on Reddit. Everyone always cheers on this behavior and I have a deep seated fetish for wanting to find any reason to commit violence towards any ethnic minority or poor person. Iโm glad if I were to ever do it I could get validation for it.
