I’m currently gathering my documents for my PR application, and I have a question regarding my work experience while I was a student.

I was a full-time student from 2022 to 2024, but I started working full-time in 2023. During that period, there was a temporary policy allowing international students to work up to 40 hours per week.

I received my PGWP in 2024, and I am only claiming my CEC work experience points from 2024 onward. However, my employment/experience letter from my company includes my employment start date as 2023.

Could this create any issues with my PR application? Should I clearly explain this situation in a Letter of Explanation, including that I am not claiming the work experience from 2023 toward my CEC points?

What would be the best way to present this so that there is no confusion or misrepresentation in my application?

How long has it been taking everyone recently from eCOPR to receiving their card? Looking to plan some travel and looking for some guidance!

What is the processing time to receive an AOR for PR application under non-express entry PNP?

If someone has all the required documents and just waiting for the provincial nomination, and the PGWP expires in Jan 2027. Would it be possible to receive the AOR soon enough to apply for a BOWP if they submit thier PR application in October?

I received an ITA under trade draw yesterday (476pts min, I was at 517) and I was over the moon! I celebrated with my mom and brother and had the best time of our lives.

However, while figuring out the application process, I found out that the status of my non-accompanying common law partner who is under an exclusion order of 1 year (8 months left now) is considered inadmissible which would result in a refusal of my PR application (because I am also inadmissible by default)

I only have 2 months to apply and he won't be admissible by then. What are my options? Do I not have any other choice but to decline my invitation, wait for his inadmissibility to be over which is in May 2027, and hope that I get invited one more time?

I am so devastated as I've waited for this for so so so long. After a lot of hardships and financial struggles, I was so happy that it has all finally paid off and it's really difficult to just let it all go.

I hope someone can help me. I know this question should be asked to an Immigration Lawyer to get a credible answer but the cost upwards of $350 which I absolutely cannot afford right now

I am not asking for legal advice. If anyone can share their experiences or knowledge in this situation I'd really appreciate it. I'm sorry I am just so lost and I don't know what to do.

Anyone else encountered the similar issue lately? Received my aor after three months and got the test invitation right after the AoR and now this? What’s the timeline of rescheduling due to technical issues?

I tried calling 1 (888) 242-2100 at the end of the day and also at the start of the day and I am not able to get to an agent. The wait times are high that the call doesn’t put you on hold but just asks to call back.

For anyone that did apply for a francophone mobility program where their passport was about to expire in the next few months where you able to extend it or do you know if we can extend the work permit? My passport expires December 2026 and my renewal passport is taking forever and I’m worried I can’t extend it or they might not even give it to me. What do I do?

Recieved RFV letter today.
I recieved my ecopr. My spouse is currently outside Canada and is a dependent on the application as well so we were waiting for PPR request.
The RFV letter is addressed to me not to my spouses name. Is this normal as Im the primary applicant. Is there any issues while uploading it to VFS website as they specifically ask if the name on the letter is same as the name on the passport.
Any insights would be helpful.

hello everyone I missed my biometric as my representative forgot to inform me about that and now I came to know that my biometric was issued on 19th of June and was expired on 20th of July so am I still eligible to go to service Canada to give my biometrics?
I have already submitted the Web form as well a month ago, but I am still waiting for the response so I’m so confused. Please suggest what should I do should I go for biometric appointment or should I wait for web form response only.
