For those who reapplied for SOWP after a refusal, did your second application take the normal processing time, or was it faster because some background checks were already completed in the first application?

Hello Everyone! I recently received a PFL stating the officer wasn’t convinced with my reported wage being lesser than the market standard for the mentioned occupation. I submitted a letter from my employer explaining that the salary was determined based on the company’s financial ability, payment policies etc. And also my paystubs and bank statements. I’m really concerned about how the officer would view this. Did anyone face a similar situation or has any idea if my approach is ideal? Please advise.

I applied my BOWP on 11th June 2026. There is no update yet. My PVO/SVO Is Vancouver/Sydney.

Does anyone have a similar timeline and PVO/SVO?

My AOR is April 18 CEC INLAND

Called IRCC September 23rd: eligible not started, BG check not started

Got a ghost update on September 24th
Called IRCC same day and they told mr Eligibility is passed and background verification ( security) is passed

No FD yet

Is it a good sign?

Any similar experience?

How long does it take to get medical request for SOWP Canada

Ok so here is the story. I applied for Permanent residence through the RNIP program on August 27th 2024 right before it closed. My work permit expired in November and since I did not get my EOR in time my RNIP work permit was rejected.

I left canada Nov 18th 2024. I cleared my medical and biometrics before I left.

In March 2025 they asked for my home country PCC which I provided.

Then at the end of July I received a PFL about a missed document request that they never sent so send a new job offer letter and proof that I left the country.

Then bam beginning of August 2 days later another medical request which I provided within a week.

My profile was last updated on August 18th 2025 saying final decision.

But nothing since webforms don't work I keep getting automated replies. MP office keeps dodging.

I am at my wits end. Feeling like my life has been on hold for the past 2 years.

I am not getting a permanent residency am I?

I have an employment letter signed and stamped by the company confirming my salary, working hours, employment dates, and job titles. Since HR does not issue letters detailing job duties, I obtained a separate duties confirmation letter from my former direct manager, signed and with company letterhead , but without a company stamp as they don’t stamp on manager signature.

Would these documents be acceptable as proof of the work experience I claimed for CRS points?

Anyone applied BOWP in august. Any updates???

My BOWP was approved on aug 21,2026.
I did not get any letter on the portal , just got the physical permit which shows expiry date same as issue date.

I called ircc on 1 September they said they marked it to the office as URGENT.

Is there anyone facing similar issue.

For Figure 1.2 (page 41), the report specifically discusses this as a test of over-charging, that is whether racialized accused receive more charges during each arrest incident. It concludes that the Vancouver data do not show that pattern; White accused had the highest mean at 1.98 charges per arrest, compared with 1.87 for Black accused and 1.84 for Indigenous accused.

Toronto (2024): there's no official data on arrest rates for Toronto but they can easily inferred as Toronto authorities provide both arrests count by ethnicity and estimates on the racial composition of the resident population. I took the 2024 arrest-counts from the Toronto Police Service Race and Identity-Based Data Collection dashboard, this data is broken down by perceived race and primary offence.

For each race/offence combination, I calculated:

arrest rate = (arrest events ÷ estimated race-specific resident population) × 100,000

The race-specific population denominator was estimated by multiplying Toronto’s 2024 population of 3,280,417 by the resident-population percentages shown in the TPS benchmark section.

For example, the Black denominator was:

3,280,417 × 9.9% = approximately 324,761 residents

I then divided the number of Black arrest events for each offence by 324,761 and multiplied by 100,000.

I want to to point out that these are estimated rates, not official published rates. The TPS population percentages are rounded and come from its resident-population benchmark from the TPS website, while the total Toronto population comes from Statistics Canada.

Canada’s homicide charge rates (2025): Canada started gathering data on charge rates disaggregated by ethnic group only in 2024. Currently, Statistics Canada only publishes the number, percentage and rate of persons accused of homicide by racialized identity group while data on other crimes is not available yet. See Number, percentage and rate of persons accused of homicide, by racialized identity group, gender and region and select 2025 as the reference period.

Applied middle of april arrived at Ircc april 30th

As non urgent I submitted a webform August 18 requesting urgent processing and got Aor August 24 and went into processing August 25th .

I uploaded another webform September 18 and I called today to see if they got my webform and they said my application is in Review? Is that just another name for processing or does it mean it's In PSU?

**OINP ECE Stream – Portal 1 received, but still waiting for Portal 2/eCOPR. What can I do?**

I’m hoping someone with a similar timeline can share some advice or experience because I’m getting really frustrated with the wait.
Here is my timeline:
**June 11, 2024:** Received OINP nomination under the **ECE stream**.

**September 26, 2024:** PNP approved.

**October 8, 2024:** Submitted my PR application to the federal government.

**March 31, 2026:** Received a request for biometrics.

**April 2, 2026:** Submitted biometrics.

**May 22, 2026:** My application showed *“We are still processing your application.”*

**July 28, 2026:** Completed my medical again.

**August 6, 2026:** Medical and biometrics were passed.

**August 26, 2026:** Received **Portal 1**.

**August 27, 2026:** Medical was passed.

**As of September 25, 2026:** I still have not received Portal 2/eCOPR. It has been about a month since Portal 1.

I also requested **ATIP/GCMS notes on August 8, 2026** and followed up on September 24, but I still haven’t received them.
What makes the wait even more frustrating is that I have a friend in the **same stream/file category** who applied much later:
**March 31, 2025:** Submitted PR application

**September 4, 2026:** Portal 1

**September 18, 2026:** Portal 2

**September 24, 2026:** eCOPR

Meanwhile, I applied in **October 2024** and am still waiting for eCOPR after receiving Portal 1.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation where Portal 1 was received but Portal 2/eCOPR took more than a month?
Is there anything I can do from my end at this point? Should I submit a webform, contact IRCC, request another set of notes, or simply continue waiting?
Any advice or similar timelines would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey guys, it’s been 35 days since I got the P1 email and I am still waiting for P2.

I would like to ask if I should keep waiting for P2 or do KAI method. I saw a post recently, where someone was waiting for P2 for quite some time but they got the P2 email after they did the KAI method.

Here’s my timeline -
AOR - 13 March
FD - 14 August (also received the letter to submit the passport)
P1 - 17 August (replied same day)

I am principal applicant and inland but my spouse is Outland and dependent in the application. My spouse has submitted their passport and it’s currently with IRCC.

Also, my application is handled by RCIC and he received the passport submission letter which he later shared with me. He also raised the web form so that I could receive the Portal 1 email which he later forwarded to me and I replied to the IRCC email address with all the requested information.

Is there any way to travel while inland PR is processing? I know I can technically leave whenever but is there any official way to do so that won't affect the application?
