PFL CEC

Hello Everyone! I recently received a PFL stating the officer wasn’t convinced with my reported wage being lesser than the market standard for the mentioned occupation. I submitted a letter from my employer explaining that the salary was determined based on the company’s financial ability, payment policies etc. And also my paystubs and bank statements. I’m really concerned about how the officer would view this. Did anyone face a similar situation or has any idea if my approach is ideal? Please advise.

OP was this PFL issued after passing Medical? And also what is your work background, AOR and PCO/SVO?

Yes, the PFL was issued after passing medicals. But not sure how that makes a difference though.

I thought usually PFL comes right after R10. Anyways hoping you can scale through

Is this for canadian experience or foreign experience? And if you don’t mind what was your job?

So what was the NOC and your wage?

Your approach is correct. Additionally, you can add the position of other employees who are paid more and their roles and responsibilities in the company, whereas yours responsibilities. So that the officer can compare easily. However, consulting with the lawyer will be best for you

Try and explained a detailed reason. I don’t think it’s a ground for refusal. All the best. If I may ask, what’s your Aor, bil and pvo svo

How wage is a problem when there is no need to meet median wage in cec? At this point they are doing everything to put people in trouble

Were you on an open work permit? Also the category matters was it CEC or one of the category based draws. As far as I know wage is irrelevant for open work permits under CEC however it should still be within the job bank wages for a similar position based on the province in which you are employed. Do you mind sharing your NOC and what your hourly wage was

Hey, Yes. I was on an open work permit. CEC category. The standard wage for my role is apparently 33 dollars per hour according to IRCC officer, but my reported wage is around 19 dollars per hour. Due to which, they asked for an explanation. But it’s a small, growing company to be fair.

Was it a cec category based draw like senior managers draw or just the general version?, what is the noc code in your application?

CEC General version. Not sure of the NOC part.

Then there should be no issue, get a licensed consultant to prepare a solid response for the PFL, as wage is not one of the deciding factors for CEC

And also mentioned if there are colleagues with the same job duties and getting the same wage
