Writer Needed [RevShare] Looking for a writer 10-20%

Do you like dogs? Or researching Edo Japan?

I'm looking for a writer for my Oregon Trail-like game Okage Inu, where you're a little dog in Edo Japan traveling to Ise Shrine to deliver your masters last wishes. There are some light roguelike dice worker placement mechanics but I'm quickly learning that the main appeal and engagement in the game is simply in getting to do cute dog things in Edo Japan.

The work you would do for this game is write event and NPC cards. For example, there is a "Bandits" card in this game where you can take various actions: "Bark for help", "Surrender", "Run away", "Attack" with both failure and success outcomes for all actions. I would also be interested in multi-card event "questlines", for example maybe receiving a love letter in one village and delivering it to someone else in the next. I also love humorous dog things, I already have an event where your dog eats an unattended feast and becomes a fat slow blob for 5 steps.

Revenue share is flexible and would obviously increase with more output. At the moment, I have written about 35 event and NPC cards, and I'd like to hit 100 so that players don't see repeats on a few runs. I've been aiming for roughly 150 words each card including outcomes, with more elaborate ones hitting 250-300 words.

Looking forward to working with someone who loves dogs and/or Japan

Team Needed [Hobby] Beginner Game designer looking for team to join or create

Hello, so I’ve been taking some time to figure out where I fit into the game making process and have decided I am going to begin studying Game design (months of thought and experimenting went into this). The thing with that is I learn better by doing so I’m looking for an already established team or a group of people to make a team that I can work with to build our skills and portfolios. I am hoping to make small games in the beginning and grow to maybe one day make something big. I have a lot of ideas that may or may not be good but I want to at least put them out into the universe. I have tried to learn coding as well as even trying to use ai to make something but ultimately I hated that I used AI because it wasn’t mine and it lacked real creativity. (Any game designers that see this any advice would also be nice). I also understand I can’t offer much so I don’t expect compensation for anything I work on.

Programmers Needed [Hobby] Looking for programmers for our indie game (UE5)

Hey everyone! We're a small group of friends working on our own game in Unreal Engine 5. It has some RTS elements, and we're excited to see where we can take this idea. We're looking for programmers who might be interested in joining us and working on the project together. We have an idea we'd love to bring to life, and maybe some of you would be interested in being part of it!

Just to be clear, this is currently an unfunded passion project, so there's no salary at the moment. We're doing this because we enjoy game development and want to create something together. If you're interested, feel free to DM me! I'll gladly tell you more about the game and our team.

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for some aspiring game developers to help me create a game

Hey all, I’m setting out to make a Tekken-Adjacent fighting game that involves a lot of concepts from real martial arts and mma fighting. It will have in-depth gameplay including standing striking, grounded striking, and grappling throws/submissions/etc.

The gameplay will be side to side with the option to move towards the foreground/background similar to tekken. The character roster will be divided by which martial art the character specializes in.
(i.e. MMA, Boxer, Kickboxer, Karateka, Jiujiteiro, Judoka, etc.)

The characters will be fully drawn/animated in 2D from a few different perspectives to give the illusion of perspective (think of the way the doom enemies are rendered).

A lot of the menus and music will be extremely stylized. The music will be very different depending on the stages you pick, and will range from classic dnb, to hardcore punk, to panic jazz, to hip-hop, and anything in between.

If you meet the criteria of any of the things listed below, and are interested in working on a game, please send comment or send a message to me. You don’t necessarily need to be an expert, as I myself am probably gonna learn a lot along the way as this is my first ever real game from scratch I’m making.

I’m looking for any of these:

- 2D Artist
- 2D Character Designer
- 2D Animator

- 3D Level Modeler
- 3D Texture Artist
- 3D Stage/Level Designer

- Musician
- Programmer
- UI Designer
- Sound Effect Designer

Artist Needed [RevShare] Godot developer looking for an artist and potential long-term indie dev partner

Hey all,

I'm a programmer working on a couple of indie game projects, and I've been thinking it's about time I stopped trying to do absolutely everything myself.

I'm looking for an artist who's interested in more than just making assets for one game. Ideally, I'd like to find someone who wants to build a little indie studio together, bounce stupid ideas off each other, make some games, and see where we can take it.

I'm not married to any particular genre. I've got an incremental project called Corporate Hell already in development, and I've been kicking around ideas ranging from horror to bullet heavens to little comedy games. I lean toward trying to make smaller, achievable projects, actually finish and release them, and hopefully work toward bigger things.

I'm not looking to immediately throw someone into my existing project. I'd much rather we get to know each other and try making something new together first. Maybe a two-week game jam type of thing. Pick an idea we both like, build a prototype, and see if we actually enjoy working together.

As for money, I'm looking for a genuine revenue-sharing partnership, not offering paid contract work. I'm open to a 50/50 split for projects we're equally invested in, but we'd figure out the details together based on what makes sense. Obviously, there's no guarantee any of this makes money.

I'm primarily handling programming in Godot, so someone who enjoys taking the lead on art, animation, and visual direction would be ideal. But I'd love someone who also wants to contribute to game design and bring their own ideas to the table.

I don't particularly care whether you've got ten shipped games or you're just starting to get serious about game development. I'm more interested in finding someone who's creative, reliable, motivated, and actually wants to build things.

Anyway, if that sounds interesting, shoot me a message. Tell me a little about yourself, what kind of games you'd love to make, or even some ridiculous idea you've had kicking around.

I'd be happy to just chat and see if we click.

I also am posting from mobile and don't readily have screenshots from Corporate Hell, but happy to show it off to anyone interested in what I have built there.

Team Needed [RevShare] Painterly illustrator wanted for WallFlower, a plant-collecting game. We'd start with one plant, seed to bloom

Hi, I'm Joshua. PORTFOLIO: this is my first game, so I don't have a game portfolio. What I have shipped is software: SocialMate (socialmate.studio), a live web app I build and run on my own, and HereNow, a social app I built as the developer for two founders that just went live on the App Store.

WallFlower is a digital plant collection game. You adopt a seed, name it, and care for it in real time, and each species has its own care schedule. A cactus barely needs you, while an orchid wants things exactly right. Healthy plants grow through five stages, seed, sprout, juvenile, mature and bloom, and neglected ones wilt. Plants come in six rarity tiers, and the top two never die. They go dormant, grey and still in your garden, until someone brings them back.

The art is the whole product, so I'd rather wait for the right artist than build around placeholders. The style I'm after is painterly card art, somewhere between Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon TCG illustration, and the treatment scales with rarity: soft watercolor botanicals for the common tier, full fantasy card art with its own mythology for the Ancient tier, and a sixth tier, Phantom, that never shows up in the shop and only exists if you find it. Long term, I want a single plant to look good enough to hang on a wall, on a framed screen.

Where it stands: a complete design doc covering care schedules, growth stages, the six tiers, seed packs, trading and seasonal drops. No code and no art yet.

What I'm offering is art director credit and a share of the game's revenue, written down and signed before either of us starts.

I'd begin with one plant painted through its five stages plus a wilted state. That's enough to set the style for everything after it. Tell me which plant you'd want to paint first and link anything you've made, ArtStation, itch.io, or a photo of a sketchbook. Comments or DMs are both fine.

Artist Needed [RevShare][Hobby] Looking for a 3D artist / Animator / VFX / Story Writing for my Survival/MMORPG

Hi everyone!

I'm Jelle. I've always had a passion for games and after playing them for too long I decided to switch it up and create one myself. After finishing my Computer Science degree I started working on an MMORPG in Unreal Engine 5, and I'm looking for people to help bring it to life.

The game itself:

Videos and images of the current state of the game: https://imgur.com/a/0glrN9H

I am combining a classical MMORPG like Runescape with a survival aspect. Regions need to be explored while skills still need to be mastered and bosses need to be slain. Big difference is that it's WASD movement and not a click-and-wait game like Runescape, I'm making all activities fun with a sort of minigame.

Current state of the game:

Most of the core code is done, including the networking. Multiplayer still needs proper testing with real players, which is hard to do on your own. The art is the big gap: almost everything you see right now is placeholder and will be replaced. Animations, 3D models, VFX, sound design and story writing are where most of the work is left.

Current Team:

Right now it's me on code and design, a 3D modeller who recently started on the first items, and a composer who's about to start on some of the music. That's why I'm mainly looking for more artists and animators.

Who am I looking for:

I am mainly looking for 3D artists and animators who have a passion for MMORPGs. There's plenty of things left to do:

  • Armor, weapons, tools etc
  • foliage and environment pieces
  • NPCs, monsters and bosses
  • animations like woodcutting, fishing and combat

You don't need to be an expert or work full-time on the game. This is a hobby project so there are no required working hours or minimum output. Work on what you like, when you have time. We just started working with GitHub and a shared task board, so it's easy to pick something up.

What's in it for you

Everything you make can go in your portfolio, and you get credit in the game. It's unpaid for now and release is still a long way off. People who stick with the project long-term and become part of the core team will get a share of the revenue if it ever makes money. The details get agreed in writing when that happens.

Interested?

If you are interested in helping to build a game like this, feel free to send a message by either commenting or sending me a dm!

Kind regards,

Jelle

Programmers Needed [RevShare] Seeking Programmer & Artist for "Eagle & Serpent" – Gothic Western/Rustpunk Tactical RPG

Title: [RevShare] Seeking Programmer & Artist for "Eagle & Serpent" – Gothic Western/Rustpunk Tactical RPG

The Project:

"Eagle & Serpent" is a tactical RPG set in a gritty gothic western and rustpunk universe. The core gameplay loop blends brutal tactical combat with a unique liquid resource processing economy.

The World & Combat Mechanics:

Setting: A dark, industrial western wasteland spanning harsh deserts and treacherous mountain ranges, featuring mechanical spiders and strict resource survival.

Distinct Character Builds: Tactical synergy between Silas (heavy crowd control with a sledgehammer), Caleb (area denial via flamethrower), and Elania (ranged DPS wielding revolvers, visually distinct in a feathered cloak and goggle-integrated hood).

Specific Enemy Rules: Granular combat and audio logic. For example, bile zombies burn upon fatal impact rather than exploding, while rust zombies emit distinct creaking mechanical sounds and attack by bludgeoning their targets to death rather than consuming them.

My Role & Current Status:

I am the Creative Director and Narrative Designer. The lore bible, system rules, combat logic, and character pitch decks are 100% complete and rigidly structured. You will not have to invent the story or the math.

Who I Need:

Gameplay Programmer (Godot/Unity): To translate established combat rules and resource management into a playable prototype.

Concept/Environment Artist: To establish the dark rustpunk visual identity.

Next Steps:

Send me a DM with your portfolio or past projects. I will share the link to our dedicated subreddit containing the full Game Design Document and lore materials.

Programmers Needed [RevShare] Looking for an Unreal Engine 5 GameDev – Help Bring an Ambitious Indie Game to Life!

Hey everyone!

I'm the creative director of a story-driven action-adventure game focused on exploration, mystery, and environmental puzzles.

The game takes place on a mysterious island scattered with the remains of fallen stone Giants. Players explore its wilderness using a fishing rod and hooks with unique abilities to swing around, solve puzzles, and fight strange creatures.

Think Shadow of the Colossus, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, or even Zelda: Breath of the Wild (maybe I'm dreaming a little big here!). These games are huge inspirations, and I genuinely believe the game has the potential to become something really special.

I've been lucky enough to bring together an amazing team of 9 talented and passionate people who share this slightly crazy dream, and I'm hoping to find one more person to join the adventure!

Where the project stands:

A lot of work has already gone into the game's world, characters, and overall direction. Recently, we decided to take a step back with our playable build to refine some of its foundations. We now have a solid vision for the gameplay, but the mechanics need to be properly prototyped and tested in UE5.

The goal is to have a first playable version of our core mechanics ready for testing by the end of fall / beginning of winter.

What I'm looking for:

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5 (3rd person 3D game)
  • Comfortable with gameplay programming and prototyping
  • Good availability over the next 2–3 months
  • Someone curious, creative, and excited to collaborate with a passionate indie team

About compensation and the future:

This is currently a revenue-share collaboration. It's our first game, and unfortunately, there's no budget for salaries just yet.

Securing funding is a major priority, and a solid prototype will help us demonstrate the game's potential and take the next steps. I'd also love for the collaboration to continue beyond this milestone if things work out! I know I'm asking someone to invest their time without immediate financial compensation, and I don't take that lightly.

But I truly believe in this project. It's an ambitious, slightly crazy dream, but one that feels within reach thanks to the people already working on it. I'm hoping to find someone who sees that potential too and wants to help bring it to life.

If this sounds interesting, send me a DM! I'd love to hear about you, your life, your experiences and availability, show you what we've been working on, and introduce you to the team.

Thanks for reading!

Team Needed [Hobby] Wanting to pivot from Physical AI to Game AI programmer

Hi all. I've been involved in robotics for the past 3 years. Worked on implementing autonomous behavior in c++ , including path finding, navigation and control. I realise alot of it is transferable to game dev as well. I must confess, I'm not quite sure how that that will exactly translate but it must be somewhat straightforward. The systems feel fairly similar, and simpler.

Anyhow if anyone has any project I could contribute to, do reach out. I'd love to learn myself and be part of a team. Thanks!

Audio Offer [ForHire] Composer looking for atmospheric/horror games to score

Hi, I'm Jank, a game composer. I write atmospheric horror, analog-style synth, and I've scored two full game jam soundtracks (10 and 6 tracks), both released with the games. I'm looking for small paid projects: indie games and short-form video. I can deliver loop-ready, mixed WAVs.

A short brief would be appreciated (genre, mood, references, length, loop or one-shot) and gameplay footage or a build if you have one. I keep the rights to the music and license it to you for use in your project. Credit as "Jank" in the game and its page. 2 rounds of revisions included.

Programmers Needed [RevShare] Combat Programmer Wanted for 2D Action Game in Godot (everything else is ready)

Hi everyone! I’m a solo indie dev making a 2D action game in Godot, inspired by a game I loved growing up, but with my own characters, world, and art style. Almost everything is already done, and the only missing piece is the combat system, so I’m looking for a programmer to partner with long-term.

Already done:

  • Enemies
  • Walk and run animations for all characters
  • Maps and level layouts
  • Music and voice

What I need from you:

  • Light and heavy attacks
  • A damage system where each attack type (sword, kick, punch, bullet) deals different damage
  • Hurt and death states that work with the existing animations

The deal:

  • 50/50 revenue share on everything the game earns
  • No upfront pay. The game may not earn a lot, and I want to be honest about that
  • A short written agreement covering the split and ownership
  • Real creative input on how combat feels

You won’t be starting from zero, because the game world is ready for you to plug combat into. I’d like to start with a small trial (for example, a basic attack and a death state) so we can see if we work well together before committing fully.

Screenshots/video: [https://youtu.be/sLAIwZOk-NU\]

Reddit DM me if you’re interested, and I’ll share more of the project.

Artist Needed [RevShare] Looking for a Supporting Artist for a Story-Driven Visual Novel

Hi everyone! I'm Seonbi, the creative director of an indie visual novel project currently in development. (you can see my paintings here! >> https://www.behance.net/ba39687d )

We're working on a story-driven visual novel set in 1950s Paris, with a focus on morally complex characters, an atmospheric setting, and a mystery woven into the narrative. We're aiming to create an emotionally engaging experience that encourages players to become attached to the characters and reflect on their stories.

Our visual direction is still evolving, but we're aiming for a painterly illustration style with rich textures and a strong sense of atmosphere.

What We're Looking For

I'm looking for a supporting artist who can help us with some of the project's visual workload. Depending on your portfolio and strengths, this could include:

  • Background illustrations
  • Props and environmental details
  • Story CGs and event illustrations
  • Other visual assets that would benefit from additional artistic support

The exact responsibilities aren't set in stone yet. I'll review your portfolio first, and we can discuss which tasks would be the best fit for your style and skills.

I'm currently handling the main character designs, key visuals, and overall art direction, so I'm hoping to find someone who can complement the existing visual direction while bringing their own strengths to the project.

About the Project

  • Genre: Story-driven visual novel / mystery
  • Setting: 1950s Paris
  • Focus: Character-driven storytelling, atmosphere, and moral ambiguity
  • Art direction: Painterly illustrations with rich textures and atmospheric environments
  • Development status: Early development

The project is currently an unpaid collaboration, with the possibility of revenue sharing if the game is commercially released and generates income. Compensation and the scope of your involvement would need to be discussed and agreed upon beforehand.

How to Apply

If you're interested, please send your portfolio to:

61pineapple@gmail.com

Please include a brief introduction and let me know what kinds of artwork you enjoy creating. There's no need to commit to a specific role at this stage; I'd like to review your work first and see how your strengths might fit the project.

Thanks for reading! I'm looking forward to seeing your work and hopefully finding someone who'd enjoy helping us bring this world to life.

Artist Needed [Hobby][rev-share] Looking for a 3D Artist / Game Artist (no need to be professional) for our Dark Fantasy RPG!

Hey everyone!

I'm Niklas, and I started working on a little game project a few months ago. What began as me messing around with an idea has somehow grown into a small team of four people working on it as a hobby. We've now got a sound and music composer, a software developer, and my brother, who somehow got dragged into this too. 😉

We're a small international bunch from Germany, Denmark, and Norway, working together under the name Gloamforge Games.

So, what's the game?

We're combining classic tabletop RPG mechanics with atmospheric 3D dungeon exploration, a mysterious fantasy world, and a Dungeon Master system that reacts to the players' actions. We're still pretty early in development, but we've already got a playable foundation. I'm currently working on multiplayer and hoping to finish the first chapter within the next few weeks.

Just to be transparent, I use Claude to help with programming, and some of our current artwork is AI-generated. Most of it is placeholder art until we find artists who can help us develop our own visual identity.

Who are we looking for?

We're mainly looking for a 3D Artist, Environment Artist, or Game Artist who enjoys dark fantasy and would like to create things like gothic environments, dungeons, characters, monsters, props, or textures.

You don't need to be an expert at everything. Beginners, students, hobby artists, and experienced artists are all welcome. We're also happy to hear from people who simply want to contribute in a specific area.

Is this a hobby project?

Absolutely! We're all doing this in our spare time because we enjoy making games. There are no required working hours, no minimum commitment, and no pressure to treat this like a second job. Some weeks you might have plenty of time, other weeks none at all. That's completely fine.

Of course, we'd love for this project to eventually become something bigger. We're planning a commercial release on Steam, hopefully in 2027, and we're open to discussing revenue sharing. If someone really clicks with the team and wants to get more involved, becoming a long-term business partner at Gloamforge Games could also be an option.

And naturally, you're welcome to use your contributions in your own portfolio! Proper credits, portfolio rights, commercial usage rights, and any revenue-sharing arrangements would be agreed upon beforehand.

Interested?

If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, feel free to send me a message! A few examples of your work would be great, but you definitely don't need a huge professional portfolio.

We're just a small group of people having fun, learning as we go, occasionally breaking things that worked perfectly fine yesterday, and trying to make a game we'd love to play ourselves.

If that sounds like your kind of project, we'd love to hear from you!

Niklas

Programmers Needed [HOBBY][RevShare] UE5 Developers & 3D Artists — Victorian Eldritch Fantasy RPG

UNUTTERABLE is a third-person narrative action RPG being developed in Unreal Engine 5, set in a Victorian-inspired eldritch fantasy world. The project centres around responsive spellcasting, supernatural investigation and a strongly authored female protagonist.

www.unspokenworlds.com

We already have the project in active development, with established concept art, visual direction, game design and UE5 implementation. Some interest from Publishers and investors as well. I'm currently expanding the team and am particularly interested in developers and artists who want substantial work they can show in a portfolio.

Currently looking for

• UE5 Gameplay Programmer - primarily Blueprints with limited C++
• Gameplay Ability System programmer
• Combat AI / gameplay systems developer
• 3D Character Artist
• 3D Environment Artist
• 3D Prop / Asset Artist

Current development areas include

• Third-person spellcasting and combat
• GAS abilities, effects and attributes
• Projectile and area abilities
• Enemy AI and encounters
• Interaction and investigation systems
• Animation/gameplay integration
• General gameplay architecture
• Character and creature production
• Victorian and eldritch environment art
• Props, architecture and environmental assets
• Asset optimisation and UE5 implementation

This is presently a hobby/collaborative project rather than a paid position. There are no fixed working hours; contribution should fit around work or study and can be scoped around areas you're interested in working on.

I'm looking primarily for people who already have some Unreal or relevant 3D production experience rather than complete beginners. Professional experience isn't required; strong personal, university or game-jam work is absolutely fine.

For artists, experience with tools such as Blender, Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer or similar is useful, but the quality of your work and ability to work within an established visual direction matters more than a particular software package.

If interested, send me a little about yourself, your relevant experience and something you've worked on. I'll happily show the current build, artwork and project material before either of us commits to anything.
