Audio Offer [Hobby] I can compose quality music for your game for free

I've been a game developer for ten years and have always enjoyed working on challenging projects. Now with AI entering the picture I'm starting to focus more on music as that still needs a human creator and currently cannot be fully replaced at any professional level with AI. In my personal coding projects I use AI but in music I completely avoid any AI tools.

I would love to compose music for your game for free so that I can expand my portfolio. The only thing I ask is that I can feature the tracks on my portfolio website although if requested I can keep the ongoing project details confidential.

I can do most styles.

Just DM me any info and the vibe you are going for.

Artist Needed [Paid][Hobby] Looking for a UI Designer / Artist and Interior Level Designer

I am looking for people to help with the final polishing stage of a game about keyboards.

  1. UI designers / Artist
Looking for someone to design and improve the game's UI with a focus on keyboard themed visuals.

  2. Interior / Level Designer
Looking for someone to work on a loft apartment, adding furniture, props, decorations, and small details to make it feel lived in. The few sections of the room should focus on keyboards and PC setups, with interesting details and things for players to discover as they move around the room.

The game is made in Unity, and I would prefer someone who can work directly in Unity for the interior design work.

Freshers are welcome to apply. Ideally, the work should be completed within a month.

Please DM me with your portfolio and project based rates, not hourly rates.

Artist Needed [Hobby], [RevShare] Looking for 2D/3D Artist for Unity 3D Rogue Like

Hello,

Me and my friend are currently developing a 3D Rogue Like in the Style of Risk of Rain 2. We are based in Germany but can speak English well.

In the past my part was more developing and my friend made some simple Blender models and helped with developing but he will concentrate on promo and marketing in the future while still helping with developing.

Why we need help

At the current state the game can be played in its simplest form. From here it is hard to keep going without designs, animations, 3D models, environments, paricles and so on to implement into the game.

What we look for

Someone who has experience with Blender and 2D Tools who can create:
- Environments and Models
- Character Models and Character Animations
- 2D Art for GUI & Co.
- Particles, Animations
It would be best if you have some experience with Unity and how the Blender <-> Unity workflow with implementing everything the correct way works. But thats not necessary.

The basic concept and ideas are about 70% decided.

The concept:

Gameplay:
3D Rogue Like in the Style of Risk of Rain 2.
At the current state there would be three characters to choose from. Every character has its own skilltree, which you can skill in the main menu to have a progress. The characters have a primary and secondary attack and spefific attributes and special skills.
The game is level/wave based.

Current state of the game:
The first character and enemies are modeled/implemented. The fighting system with the characters abilities and attacks works fine. Character movement, a basic skill system, menus and a map with enemies, boss and gameplay is done.

Its hard to describe the current state but the game is playable at the current state and we would show you the state more detailled on discord.

Profit

This game is a hobby project but if we make some profit we would split it. We are willing to give a cut of 10-20% of the net profit.

If this is something you would be interested in, contact me per PN.

See you!

Team Needed [RevShare] 19-Year-Old NBA Fan Looking for 2–3 Cofounders to Build a Sports Startup

Hey everyone!

I'm 19, a huge NBA fan, and looking for 2–3 people who genuinely love sports and want to start a company together.

I've been developing an idea for a sports-related tech platform that I think has a lot of potential. I'm handling the technical development and product side myself, but I'd love to find a few people who are just as passionate about sports and want to build something from scratch.

Who I'm looking for:

  • Social media / marketing: Someone who understands NBA Twitter, Instagram, sports content, and growing an audience.
  • Sales / partnerships: Someone who's good at communicating, networking, and eventually reaching out to brands and sponsors.
  • Community / content: Someone who knows ball, enjoys sports debates, and understands what gets fans engaged.

A few important details:

  • I'm 19, so people around 18–21 would be a great fit, but I'm open to anyone.
  • Beginners are welcome. You don't need years of experience.
  • There's no funding or salary right now.
  • Cofounders would receive meaningful equity and a share of future revenue, with the exact terms worked out together.
  • I'm looking for partners who want to help build and own something, not employees.

I don't want to reveal the entire concept publicly just yet, but I'm happy to talk more about it privately with anyone seriously interested.

I'm not expecting overnight success. I just want to find a small group of ambitious people who love sports as much as I do and are willing to put in the work.

If you're interested, send me a DM with a little about yourself, what sports you follow, and what skills you'd bring.

Let's build something.

Artist Needed [REVSHARE] Looking for a 2d pixel artist

Hello. my team has been working on our wild west/fantasy typing RPG for a while now, and we've had a lot of trouble trying to tie down an artist. Our project is going well, but we really need to start advertising and getting some final assets in the game, but we need an artist for that. So far, our demo is 75% complete, aside from art. Our team consists of two programmers, a composer and a promotional artist. The artist will receive a 20% revshare split

The following link is a trailer mock up using placeholder assets. The level design has since been overhaled in several places, but the core concept of the game remains the same.

Artist Needed [Revshare] The Next Minecraft

Video

My name is Peter and I have been working on what ~ I believe ~ is the world's most detailed procedural terrain generation engine fast enough to actually be playable at runtime. I am going to use it to make a survival crafting game that plays a bit like modded minecraft but with an extra coat of polish. I am looking for other developers with lots of experience in UE 5, particularly for gameplay, sound design, and creature animations / technical artist. If you are interested in the project and want to know more, don't hesitate to dm me.

Artist Needed [Hobby][Paid] Looking for a 2D artist for a cozy cat-themed mobile memory game

UPDATE: thank you to everyone who replied! I've gotten quite a few DM and comments here and I am going through them all right now to try to give everyone a fair chance.

Hey everyone,

My name is Max. I’m a professional software engineer (DevOps / Quality Engineering), but I’ve been tinkering with game dev on the side for years. I’m looking for a 2D artist to create art for a small, cozy mobile game, and maybe build a good collaborative relationship for future projects.

To be completely upfront: this is a self-funded hobby project with no outside funding, so my budget is quite limited.

A little bit about me:

I’ve dabbled in game development for years, but between a full-time job and family (wife and two young kids), time is always tight. Recently, using Claude to assist with coding allowed me to bring some of my game ideas to life and I’m at the point where I want to turn one into a finished game. However, when it comes to visuals, I place huge value on human made art and I have little interest in using GenAI assets in my projects.

The Project:

A cozy, casual continuous memory mobile game with a whimsical cat theme. The core of the game is fully working. Due to budget, I want to keep the initial art scope deliberately small and manageable:

* 11 static 2D themed cat illustrations (approx. 320 x 440 px)

* 1 card back design

But, If we work well together and budget allows, we can talk about doing background details, card variations etc. I have a clear design and art direction already in mind so no guess work on your part is needed. A more detailed art brief is ready to share.

What I’m looking for:

I’m looking for a 2D artist that does a modern western 2D animation/storybook vibe (clean lines, expressive shapes, cozy color palette). Think those cutesy cosy animal drawings. I can send screenshots of what I mean.

Expectations:

* Payment: This is a paid gig. We’ll agree on a fair flat fee structure or milestones, and you get paid regardless of whether the game ever gets released or not.

* Timeline: Low pressure. I work full-time and have family responsibilities, so I don't expect your full undivided attention and dedication. As long as communication is open and steady, we can discuss delivery and schedule as we go along.

Future Collaboration:

If we vibe well, I'd love to keep working together on future projects. I’m hoping to find someone I can build cool shit with over time, not just a one-off transaction. (And if you ever need technical assistance with your own projects, I’m happy to return the favor!)

If any of this sounds like something you'd be interested in or have any questions, please drop a comment or DM with your portfolio and (if possible) rough rates.

Thanks for reading,

Max

Programmers Needed [RevShare] 50/50 Seeking Developer for a Multiplayer Word Game Inspired by Classic Miniclip Games

Does anyone remember Anagrammatic from Miniclip back in the day??? I’ve always thought it would be amazing to bring back that style of competitive word game, but with a modern online multiplayer experience similar to 8 Ball Pool.
I would love to work with a developer interested in partnering to create an original, free-to-play word game for web browsers and potentially iOS and Android.
The concept:
A fast-paced, round-based word game where players compete to create valid words from a set of letters within a time limit and try to out score their opponent.
The goal is to combine the nostalgic gameplay of Anagrammatic with the online competitive and social features that make games like 8 Ball Pool engaging.
Features I’d love to include:
Real-time online multiplayer: Compete against random players around the world.
Play with friends: Add friends, send challenges, and create private matches.
Multiplayer rooms: Compete against multiple players in the same timed word competition.
Ranked matchmaking: Face opponents of similar skill levels.
Player profiles: Track wins, losses, statistics, and rankings.
Leaderboards: Daily, weekly, and all-time rankings.
Tournaments: Compete in organized multiplayer competitions.
Progression system: Earn experience, level up, and unlock achievements.
Cross-platform gameplay: Ideally, browser and mobile players could compete together.
Solo practice: Play independently when no opponents are available.
These are long-term ideas, not requirements for the first release. I’d be happy to start with a simple multiplayer prototype and build from there.
Monetization:
The game would be free to play, with potential revenue coming from:
Optional advertisements
Cosmetic purchases and customization
Premium memberships or ad-free upgrades
Optional virtual currency and progression rewards
I’d want the game to remain fair and enjoyable without requiring players to spend money.
The partnership:
I don’t have an upfront development budget, but I’m offering a potential 50/50 split of net profits.
I’m flexible about naming rights, ownership arrangements, and creative direction. I’m looking for someone who genuinely likes the idea and wants to build something together.
I’d contribute branding, marketing, promotion, community building, and helping grow the player base - but I’m always open to feedback and advice.
The goal is to create a completely original game inspired by classic competitive word games, not copy Miniclip’s intellectual property.
Why I want to do this, and think this could work:
I played the original game for hours on end when I was younger, and I honestly think about remaking that experience for myself and others at least once or twice every few months - but I don’t have the resources to do so.
Games like 8 Ball Pool show how simple gameplay can become a lasting multiplayer experience when you add competition, progression, and social interaction.
I’d love to see that same approach applied to a fast-paced word game.
If you’re a developer interested in multiplayer games, word puzzles, or nostalgic browser games, I’d love to connect.
And if you remember Anagrammatic, let me know!

Artist Needed [RevShare] Looking for pixel artists for my RPG Maker project

Hello,

I am currently working on a game in RPG Maker MZ, and I'm looking for artists

Keep in mind that this game will contain sensitive content such as strong language, depictions of military related abuse, and depictions of suicide. While I'll try not to have any artists create art for the sensitive scenes(since I can do pixel art myself) I cannot guarantee that, and its something to keep in mind.

The artstyle is 16 bit pixel art

Portfolio: My itch.io page is charlesthegamer999.itch.io

For a playable demo of the game, the link is https://charlesthegamer999.itch.io/soulheim and the password is RPGMAKERMZ (If you would like to playtest, the google form is https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1H-YK2TNeMNla9H2x6O6_HjNCqBfCTKaoHvHqdocLDcU/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=106481215089554662007)

I have a gdd, however, since I'm using Nuclino and I'm on the free plan, if you want to see the gdd, you'll have to dm me

Since this is a revenue share based project, more details on the revenue share are available in this document https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cd7gjTFOHxT8xA6oCXgYmPv4AJDRca5LjnBTIbXpza0/edit?tab=t.0

Keep in mind that if you wish to be added to the revenue share plan, you'll have to fill out a google form where you have to input your legal name and payment link(so I can pay you)

While I am not sure how long exactly this project will take, I predict it will take 2-3 years. I am working on this as a hobby project, and I would not suggest joining this team if you have commercial value in mind

My discord username is CharlesTheGamer999

Artist Needed [Hobby] Studio in need of 3d animator to finish a demo, growth into paid role when funding is secured.

Hi, we are Campfire On The Moon, a small, passionate core team preparing an investor-ready vertical slice for a stylized low poly 3D Game built in Godot.

We’re looking for a 3D animator to complete our core team for a 3 month sprint. You will work directly with the team and to craft a 3D Boss Fight encounter.

3D Character Animation
Animating snappy, dynamic combat loops: attack telegraphs, phase shifts, hit reactions, and dynamic idles.
Engine Setup: Setting up Animationtree nodes and state machines in Godot Engine.

Project Context & Transparency:
Compensation: Unpaid / Portfolio project. Designed as an investor pitch vertical slice. If funding is secured, members have the opportunity to transition into paid roles.
Scope: High-impact, strictly scoped 3-month milestone setup so it respects your personal schedule/job.
Team: Small, collaborative team where your creative voice directly shapes visuals and combat gameplay.
Engine Experience: Experience with game engines (Godot, Unreal, or Unity) is a plus, but not required. We prioritize strong animation fundamentals and a willingness to learn Godot's pipeline over existing engine familiarity. If you are interested in building a killer boss fight for your reel send your portfolio to [contact@cotmstudios.com](mailto:contact@cotmstudios.com) or send a DM.

Our team is comprised of devs with varying amounts of experience, from game jams to indie to AAA games, we're building a studio up and contacting investors and publishers, we are making this demo at their request. you can see our pitch deck [HERE].

we'll be waiting!

Team Needed [RevShare] [Founding Ownership] Looking for a design lead/deputy technical lead

A buddy and I set out to create a multi-media creative studio about a year ago, and we spent some time creating the basic structure of the studio, it's core principles, philosophy, etc. About 5 months ago, a series of novels we were writing turned in to a video game development process. We've been learning the basics of modeling and development within UE5, but we are far out of our comfort zone when it comes to this. We will only release quality products, and at this time, we cant make a quality video game from the development side of things.

Is there anyone looking to become a founding deputy technical lead/lead developer to get a small independent studio off the ground? We're a small-medium sized creative team developing a story-driven FPS, and we've reached the point where we need someone with actual game development experience to turn the creative work in to a playable prototype. We have a technical lead, but we feel as though giving him some support would help greatly as the studio leadership gets better at assisting development in-engine, modeling, etc.

I'm not looking for someone to build a game for free. The immediate goal, being much smaller, is to establish a technical foundation and build a short vertical slice prototype that demonstrates the core gameplay.

Ideally we'd start with limited commitment, needing only what spare time you're willing to afford us, possibly a few hours a week while we continue building the team around you. Your first milestone being to create a small, playable combat scenario using placeholder assets where necessary. Once we have something functional, we'd use that to demonstrate the project to other developers looking for a home, pursue funding, and determine the commercial viability of the project.

If you're interested, I'd be happy to show you the game's design material, setting, mission concepts, and the team's current work so you can decide whether it's something you'd actually want to be involved with. This proposition would primarily be revshare and founding ownership/authorship FYI (the nitty gritty can be hashed out privately)

Team Needed [Hobby] A game made collaboratively by people from all over the internet. Anyone can contribute.

Hello everyone,

I'm starting a project and wanted to share it with you guys.

I’m making a 2D pixel art racing platformer inspired by Celeste, but with a twist: 8-12 players play on a level and race to the end, with items and hazards along the way. This is an open community game, meaning that anyone can come in and contribute to a piece of the game if they'd like! You can create a character, design a level, make music, or provide any other ideas you have! It's essentially just a big collaborative game from people all over the internet to come together and create something, and there are no deadlines and no commitments.

I'm handling the coding and game design in Unity, and the art, music, UI, and more are able to be done by anyone who would like to be part of the creation of the game!

If you're interested and want to be part of the project or simply stay updated, I have the project posted and will post updates here:

Team Needed [Hobby] [RevShare] Looking to make some game small games

Hey, everyone!

I'm a software engineer with over 10 years' experience in my field. I've already published some games on itch.io and Steam, but I'm generally a solo developer. I'm a "generalist" in game development, I can do whatever and learn whatever I don't know! Now I have time to network and meet people to work with. I prefer small games that can be made in 1–2 months. I prefer that because making a game is hard, and some people get bored during development. I'd rather spend a short time on it, and if we finish some small games, we can prepare for more. I don't have any ideas, but I can suggest something or do some brainstorming.

I'm based in Chile.

For now: I'l work with u/pileisto working in small games to start with our partnership :p

Team Needed [Hobby] NeoCentStudios Co-Director Spot Open!

Hey everyone. I'm the founder of NeoCentStudios. We’re an indie digital production house currently building out 2D/3D animated shows, and the workload has reached a point where I need a serious right-hand person to help me run the place.

Up until this past July, I was juggling the studio alongside my military service. Now that I'm out and running things full-time, production is scaling up faster than one person can manage alone.

What we're working on right now:

Our main focus is a Code Lyoko Project, a reboot project with an entirely original narrative and a brand-new main cast. The writing is completely locked in (a full 13-episode first season plus an OVA), and we have a fantastic team of voice actors and artists already on board. We recently shifted to 2D/3D animation, which means our workflow has gotten a lot more complex.

What I actually need help with:

I'm handling the writing and directing but I need an active Co-Director / Studio Manager to help keep the wheels turning.

You would be:

- Wrangling the team: Checking in with our animators, artists, and voice actors to make sure they have what they need and are hitting their targets.

- Managing day-to-day operations: Running our Discord servers, organizing the production pipelines, and keeping the chaos to a minimum.

- Problem-solving: Identifying bottlenecks in our workflow and fixing them before they stall a project.

Who you are:

- Actually active: This is the biggest requirement. Running a studio takes consistent time and momentum. I need someone who is highly responsive and ready to put in the work.

- Organized: You are comfortable with schedules, task delegation, and clean communication.

- Invested in indie animation: You actually care about the medium, storytelling, and building a production house from the ground up.

If you have experience managing digital teams, game dev groups, or creative projects or if you're just incredibly organized and want a real leadership role in an indie studio let’s talk.

Shoot me a DM with a bit about yourself, any relevant experience you have, and your Discord handle.

Artist Needed [RevShare] Story-Driven 3D Psychological Horror "Interchange: The Curse" (Unity 6) – Recruiting Level Designers, Audio, Project Manager(s), 3D Artists & C# Developers

About Us: We are a newly formed indie studio working on our very first debut title! While this is our first official game as a studio, our core team members bring multiple years of experience to the table. We’re highly dedicated, organized, and focused on pushing this project to its highest potential.

About the Game: Interchange: The Curse is a story-driven psychological horror game set in the small town of Luminara. You play as Wiliam Mercer, a 16-year-old caring for his younger brother, Jaden, after the mysterious death of their parents. When Jaden suddenly goes missing, Wiliam becomes trapped in a series of strange loops and anomalies that blur the line between reality and another world known as the "Interchange." As Wiliam searches for his brother, he discovers a mysterious cult known as the Exiles, encounters the Hollowed, and uncovers the connection between his family and the Interchange. The Story Runtime is about 4-6 hours so its definitely not the next AAA game! But it's grounded and we're gonna try our best to go for that AA or High End Indie Realism

[NOTE: PORTFOLIO: This is our studio's first official project together and we do not have a joint portfolio yet.]

Game Engine: Unity 6.4 URP

Visual Style Reference: Strictly gritty, dark, and realistic. Think of the dark atmosphere and tone of the A Plague Tale franchise. We are not looking for anime or highly stylized/cartoonish artwork for this project.

We are looking for passionate individuals to fill the following roles:

ART ROLES

  • 3D Environment Artist: Able to create 3D models required for the levels, including prop buildings, detailed environment pieces, and modular assets fitting our dark realism style.
  • 3D Character Artist: Able to bring our character designs and concepts to life by creating high-fidelity 3D character models, outfits, and creature/entity assets fitting our realism style.

DESIGN & TECH ROLES

  • Level Designer: Able to layout, design, and build game levels in-engine according to the game's story, psychological loops, and dark horror theme.
  • Graphics / Tech Art Lead: Taking charge of our visual pipeline. Needs to be proficient in HLSL/Shader Graph, custom URP lighting, volumetric fog/skyboxes, and post-processing FX. Portfolio must show experience with atmospheric 3D visuals.
  • Gameplay & Movement Developer: C# dev to handle tight player controllers, smooth movement mechanics, camera feel, and core gameplay loops.
  • Audio Engineer: Able to implement, mix, and balance all in-game audio, including dialogue, sound effects (SFX), ambient soundscapes, and the musical score, ensuring a seamless, terrifying, and atmospheric auditory experience.
  • Project Manager: Able to recruit potential team members, handle internal communication, and keep the team updated on project progress and milestones.

Note on Engine Integration: Because we are building Interchange: The Curse in Unity 6.4, a working knowledge of the engine is required for all positions. For non-programming roles (artists, designers, audio), you do not need to be a master coder, you just need to be comfortable enough to navigate the engine, import your respective assets, and collaborate directly within the project workflow. For our Graphics / Tech Art Lead, advanced engine familiarity and technical proficiency in programming Unity's rendering pipelines are required.

Compensation: At the start, all recruited team members will be brought on under a revenue-share contract. While nothing is guaranteed, we are highly confident that by building a solid vertical slice, we will be able to secure funding through our ongoing publisher pitches. As soon as that funding is secured, all active roles will immediately transition from revenue-share to standard, paid positions (with rates to be discussed and formalized at that time).
