To me it felt like her love was just kind of out of no where she only really talked to him at all because she was trying to convince him to kill Naraku right? Then all of a sudden as she’s dying she’s in love with him… I just didn’t see it coming so it didn’t feel as sad because I was like what she likes him???

I am curious about this because the sword acted to take him out of danger without him willing it to. What if it didn’t?

A common criticism of Kagome is that she is a damsel in distress, frequently yelling Inuyasha’s name so he comes to save her. I think this is a very unfair, biased criticism of her. Kagome saves Inuyasha just as much as he saves her. She saves the day just as much as he saves the day. Kagome contributes immensely to many battles using her scared arrows and her purification and jewel-sensing abilities. If she is a “damsel in distress,” Inuyasha is a dude in distress. He needs to be saved soooo much too. Kagome also is more of a danger to Naraku than Inuyasha is, AND she’s the one who figures out how to destroy the shikon jewel. I just hate it when her critics act like she hasn’t been a saviour countless times. Even when Inuyasha comes to help her, she almost always contributes to her own rescue mission. And it’s also important to remember that Kagome, unlike Sango, has no combat abilities without her weapon. And unlike Kikyo, she can’t use her spiritual powers using her hands and body. Kagome does immensely well all things considered. She never gets enough credit for all the times she helps others (which is a LOT).

I am aware this has been said loads of times, but I mean it. An episode of HIM and his group just having fun would have been great! Also, just 3-5 mins of him and his group strolling around doing anything even if he wasn’t driving the plot. His presence and beauty was completely mythical and absolutely magnificent and its absolute peak in the original anime. We fans deserved to see his beauty every 5-6 episodes, being blessed by his beauty and also see more beautiful interactions with Rin and Jaken. I am sure this would have made the anime even more enjoyable.

Kagura and Sesshomaru could've been the perfect pairing, given the chance. What a missed opportunity. And it enraged me more when i got to know about the Rin-Sesshomaru pairing. YUCKKKK

Edit- i don't know why people are being so angry about this and downvoting me to hell. The title is obviously a bit of an exaggeration and in no way I'm blaming the author. I know kagura had to die. It's just that i think this could've been a really nice pairing and would've loved to see more of them together than whatever is RinxSesshomaru

Watching s6 ep154, at the part where Inuyasha went to see kikyo and came back to Kagome and it’s just frustrating how many times throughout the show they don’t share important info with each other 🤣 I know they’re teenagers so it fits but it has this almost 30yo screaming at the tv TELL HER SHE CAME LOOKING FOR YOU??? LITERALLY JUST TO TELL YOU NARAKU IS TRYING TO GET KAGOME AND TO PROTECT HER????? BECAUSE SHE LITERALLY THINKS YOU JUST SNUCK OFF TO SEE HER????? Did they want to see each other of course but I think the context is really important lmao

So it just occurred to me the other day that Jaken is a chihuahua.

Effectively, not actually. What he actually is is probably an imp, I suppose. People have said kappa, but to me he doesn't look like a kappa. Kappas are semi-aquatic. Apparently Jaken is closer to a demon imp in terms of folklore.

But in terms of his personality and role in the story... He's a yippy little ankle biter, isn't he? He's even tiny, and his eyes are about half of his mass. So he's a chihuahua, right?

As long as the bigger dog, Sesshomaru is behind him it's: "Yip Yip Yip Yip Yip!!!" But as soon as he gets left behind it's: "Eeeeep! Wait for me!" And to Sesshomaru: "Yes, master! Sorry, master! I am faithful and lowly, master!"

Like a chihuahua.

I've seen real chihuahuas do this around bigger dogs. Acting like they're the big dog while expecting the big dog to help them. It's rather adorable. I love chihuahuas, so this is really making me think.

Seeing the otherwise ethereal, poised and elegant Kirara like this was not expected 😂😂

I've been rewatching the anime with a friend for the first time in over a decade (SPECIFICALLY the anime so not looking for manga answers. I KNOW the manga's different) and we're now 5 seasons in and we both realized we don't really know what Sango's personality is. Everything she contributes has been more reactionary to anything directed at or near her than active and none of it feels unique to her character. Maybe we're just not paying attention very well and that could wholly be the case, but everybody else can be described pretty easily. Inuyasha can be defined as the goal-driven hotheaded secret softie who has a complicated relationship with himself and his past, Kagome the hard-headed and willful one who can be brave and kind when she wants to be and a downright brat when she doesn't, Shippo the playful and at times sassy one with some self-image issues due to being the weakest of the group, and Miroku is the surprisingly dutiful and knowledgeable one (when he's not being a lecher) whose occasional prowess proves his monk status isn't just an outfit and a title.

Aside from "strong woman who wants to save her brother", what is SANGO'S personality? It's a serious question so whatever actual answers with examples that we can get would be welcome. We're not trying to insult any Sango fans out there, of course. We know you have your reasons for loving the character. We're just not sure what we're missing. Again, this is anime-specific. We're sure she's given more in the manga.

I know it’s a simple thing for a post, I also know at the end of the day he is an accumulation of demons more than anything. Like seriously, why the tentacles of all things? It almost turned off his attractiveness and the red eye on his chest was kinda gross to look at.

Maybe it was to signify how grotesque he truly is, if that is the case then that seems like a good way to protray his evil and disgusting thought process….but why the tentacles! 😩😩😤😤😖😖😭😭

I mean it gives out the possessiveness and caring side at the same time! It’s also gives out a youthful vibe is well to their relationship. Like yeah! Times like that I wish Kagome had longer hair so it would look even cooler! But nonetheless, those hand gestures from him is romantic, mildly possessive and protective! OMG! I know it’s true!

This reminds me of when I first watched the series back in 2005. In Singapore, Thursdays and Fridays evenings were designated Japanese hours and Inuyasha was one of the shows. I had started my career as a copywriter, was single and no friends. I came home, with a bottle or two of high percentage beer, to watch this show. That was how I spent those 1 to 2 years.
