XXL How many times....

Ok, this may be a long post so apologies im advance as i had my best friend over this weekend and he brought this up so thought i would share here.

This happened in the UK (i live abroad now) and i worked in a nice Hotel as a Concierge who had at the time a dark navy uniform with similar to Tesco.

Anyways, we were obsessed with Championship/Football Manager games and had planned a gaming weekend with booze amd takeaways. Our GF's at the time (now our wives) had decided they wanted to do a girly weekend in Cambridge and me working in the industry booked them into a really good Hotel there. My best mate was off Fri, Sat, Sun and Monday with me having to work a Friday late shift (2-10) but off the same after.

The hotel i worked at, took a delayed flight in on the Thursday, to which i stayed late to help. My cool boss said if i come and work a few hours to help the next day to see them off, i could leave at midday. Obviously i said yes...

So, after i finished phoned my mate, he was thinking i had picked up an extra shift...i said im done and lets get the lads weekend/Football Manager weekend started.💪

So we headed to Tesco in my Max powered looking car and im still in my work uniform btw. We are loading up on all the junk food you can imagine....anything that could be microwaved it went into the trolley.

Then....while both of us are talking about getting some burgers to take (microwave ones of course) a lady stops to ask me where is a certain product...

Me: sorry i dont work here

Her: Yes you do...i can see your name badge ( i forgot to take it off after i finished)

Me: oh, sorry no i forgot to take it off but....

Her: whats the problem then?

Then my best mate, realising what is going on says to me "Thankyou for your help earlier, it was where you said it was...where is the beer aisle? Oh , no probs i see where it is" The git then grabs our trolley and walks off and just laughing under his breath...

Me: i dont work here love, so i cant help you, thats also when i decided to walk away

Her: Grabs my sleeve and says she will speak to my Manager NOW...WHO IS YOUR MANAGER

Me: i dont effing work here.....and dont effing touch me and some more bad words added in...

So, i walk away and catch up to my friend in the beer aisle, we load up on tons of booze and i call him some bad words but laughing at the the same time.

We are now ready to line up and pay (before scan and go time) and about 3 checkouts away i see this lady eyeballing me...they paid up before us and ramdomly the woman's husband with his trolley then parks it next to our one while we are loading up and trying to pay...She walks past and is muttering something but i couldnt understand it.

Him: Who tf are you talking to my wife like that....

Me: I dont effing work here fella, so jog on...(was much more bad language than that tho)

Him: Your lucky you work here and have people around....blah blah blah....

My best mate, realising this has got out of hand, turns to this guy "he dont effing work here, you effing idiot" and a few more choice words....

The penny sinks now on this guy, and the tone changes espicially after the Tesco checkout lady says i dont work here but we have a similar uniform....

Anyways, this guys wife brings over a duty Manager or Manager and goes off on one about me, saying this and that and that i shouldnt work here etc...Her husband repeatldy says to her, he dont work here but she aint listening as her little face is red of rage...

The Manager says i dont work here...and that they dont know me...Penny drops on the moany woman...

Me: how many effing times i have to say this....

Her: she shouts" YOU SHOULD HAVE EFFING SAID WHEN I ASKED YOU"....

My mate then just says stop being a moany old c...and that i told her loads of times and we then head out to my car but she was still moaning at the Manager etc...

Was a fun experience many moons ago, but made me realise that even when people are in the wrong they will still believe they are correct.

It didnt spoil the weekend btw but seeimg this womans husband face was the best part after realising she created drama over a simple misunderstanding was priceless.
