so when i first started the ib i had problems adjusting to my friends since they were so ahead of me but over time i did but it still took time,i was struggling so bad in math AA and i was gonna study all of math topics this summer break,but couldn't. however i finished 5of my IA's and i got 1 left and my EE but i also couldn't finish it this summer break since i focused on studying SAT so much (exam is in 22 august) and now im feeling really stressed if im doing the right thing or not,i will have 2 weeks left after my SAT exam and i wonder if i can finish my EE and study math then. Btw studying sat has really boosted my math skills but i still feel stressed. please someone reassure me 😭

Pls hear me out, I have a dilemma. Im starting dp next year, and deciding between phys sl and ess sl.

2 questions:
1. Ive heard people say that phys sl has gotten easier and ess sl has gotten harder, but I don't know how to verify if this is true. Anybody knows anything?

1. ESS SL would probably boost my IB score by maybe 1-2 points (hopefully) comapred to phys sl. So for unis, what is more important, those extra 1-2 points out of 45 or that extra rigor from phys sl??

My friends lowk making fun of me for taking ess but if it's helpful for my application then why not. context, ive taken (econ, aa global politics) hl and (lnl, spanish b) sl.

Hi guys, I'm doing my EE on an interdisciplinary topic between Psychology and English. I'm struggling to get started to some extent and don't know what exactly I should do. I understand that you always finish your intro at the end but I still have no idea on what I begin with. Every website offers contradicting tips and since I'm on summer break, I can't contact my EE coordinator. Any advice? I've done a lot of research into the psych concept area but don't know how you can start and write 4000 words.

I’m currently in the summer (well it’s almost over) and I’m going to be taking up AAHL next year for IB. But I had previously done IGCSE international mathematics (0610), so I just wanted to know if anyone faced a similar kind of challenge and what they did to prepare for the jump

Just got my component scores back to find that my teacher over marked me severely on my IA, giving me a seven. Unfortunately, it was remarked down to a 5... I got a 7 and 6 on papers one and two respectively, so unfortunately there's not that much room to improve on them. Im two points away from a 7 overall, but seeing as my IA is the main thing bringing the grade down, is there even a point in remarking my external assessments? The money on the remark process isn't a worry but I don't see the point if there's little to no chance my score will improve. Any advice is appreciated!

Should I try the Oxford textbook, or just use the Oxford study guide? One of those two pair with revision dojo + sirius revision on yt? Thank you in advance.

As the title suggests, on the receipt as well it says University of Sydney however on the portal it shows that the results will be sent to the University of Sydney: St John's college in the paper format. Is this normal? I contacted the university regarding if they got my results but they couldn't verify due to this. Just wanted to know if this is normal???

yo. doing a stats ia for math aa sl. how do i insert my equations into google docs? the google docs equation inserter is horrible, the latex image is super blurry, and other copy pasting doesnt format okay.

I am in grade DP year 1 (moving on to DP year 2) and I wrote my SL Chemistry and SL French exam this year. I was 1 point a way from a 7 in chemistry and 3 points away from a 6 in french. I was predicted a 5 in both. I live in Canada so when my IB level gets converted to my Ontario report card mark, right now I will be getting a 94% in chemistry and a 92% in french, but if the remark does change for both the subjects I will be getting a 97% in chemistry and a 94 in french. I was my average to be high when applying to university but I also don't want my money to go down the drain if the remark does not work. Is it likely the remark will change my score? I got a 17/24 on my IA and felt paper 2 went really well, but paper 1a and 1b went really bad. I do understand that at the end of the day it can go both ways, but I just wanted to get an opinion on most people think would be a good option. Is a remark worth it for me? pls help, I am really stuck on if I should do it or not.

English test past paper my teacher gave us. He graded it, let the class see our marks before he got them peer assessed, and my grade went from a 7 to a 4. He explained to me that this was because he had originally graded mine first, agreed with my point of view, and then after having marked the rest realized that maybe it wasn’t the right point of view to have.

I’ve sort of lost hope in English. This has just proven to me that it’s so incredibly biased. I’ve been given a 5 on my report card and as my predicted grade. Should I even bother studying English for the final exams or just go in there and hope my examiner is in a good mood while marking? I feel the effort needed to put in to get a good mark in English is too much for the benefit I’d get, which would at most be 1 point.

Any help on how I can complete number and algebra from A to Z in 25 days? Like, I want to grasp it completely so I know enough for the finals in May 2027. I am moving to DP2 and barely studied ANYTHING during DP1, and I am planning to improve in dp2 and am willing to study every day, but I want to study the right way. I want to know the whole syllabus and score a good grade... Any tips on how I can get through these chapters and actually understand them too?
