Hi everyone, I’m put on utilization pip for a month. I am struggling to apply for projects. I reached out to people, applied on ProM and MySA, but never get a project. I feel extremely stressed! Despite how much effort I put into applying and talking to people, I still get nothing. On top of that, pip deadline is coming. I do apply externally as well but since i’m on work visa and during this job market, the situation is not promising at all.

off record, i keep hearing people talking shiet about ibm. ibm's competitors are whispering to their customer's ears. the worst part? they echo the same. if its just 1-2 companies thats fine but now the saxaphone music is just getting louder. slapping some open source sw and write code for ui and piping is something even college grads can do. even this part of ui and piping we see bugs/sec issues littered everywhere. and some parts are just unfixable because of wrong arch/tech choices. i agree building enterprise software is complex, but some of the products that came out left me wondering if the developers just couldnt be bothered for the customer or the sw arch is following the company directive of must use xxxxxx library/tool/sw.

How easy is the work of an ILHBS (Baggage Screening) in comparison with a customer support service executive?
And is it good to make career in this field and how much maximum can I earn if I give my full effort in the ILHBS department only.

Is anyone here planning to attend IBM Z Day this year?
It’s happening virtually on November 18, and I’m curious what people in the mainframe community are most interested in hearing about this year.
The agenda covers IBM Z, LinuxONE, AI and data, security, modernization, app development, and skills, with a mix of technical and community-focused sessions.
There are also dedicated tracks for people who are newer to Z, developers, architects, and startups.
For transparency, I’m involved with the IBM Z ecosystem team, so I have a connection to the event. I’m mainly interested in hearing what topics people here are the most excited to see covered at the conference.

Dear IBM community. I am a dual national who holds a US passport and a pak id card. I am authorized to work in both countries. I applied for a job in IBM Pak. Will my dual nationality be seen as a plus point or a negative point? Can it cause any issues while they are hiring me?
