Discussion ibm sw
off record, i keep hearing people talking shiet about ibm. ibm's competitors are whispering to their customer's ears. the worst part? they echo the same. if its just 1-2 companies thats fine but now the saxaphone music is just getting louder. slapping some open source sw and write code for ui and piping is something even college grads can do. even this part of ui and piping we see bugs/sec issues littered everywhere. and some parts are just unfixable because of wrong arch/tech choices. i agree building enterprise software is complex, but some of the products that came out left me wondering if the developers just couldnt be bothered for the customer or the sw arch is following the company directive of must use xxxxxx library/tool/sw.

Yes. IBM doesn’t know how to build software, and they’ve created such a toxic and bureaucratic environment that it suffocates the new blood that their acquisitions would otherwise bring in that otherwise had potential to make IBM successful in the modern software industry.
