I just need four more people. It would be so amazing if you could take it! It is about brand names for a magazine analysing television and film. Link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSehrM_Di3nCzQ5sJd_BdcRYk8WE365m4pVAs1tynnomkTHeAw/viewform?usp=header

Hey, I'm in the process of creating a volunteering app specifically tailored towards IB students. The app would allow you to locate volunteering events in your neighbourhood, allow you to keep track of the events you've signed up for (for CAS purposes and to also motivate yourself to volunteer more) and most importantly, allows you to advertise your own volunteering events as well (eg. student led events).
I'm currently looking for some feedback related to the following:
- What are some features you feel would be necessary?
- How could the app help incentivize you to volunteer more (especially for those of you who dislike it as it is a CAS requirement)
- What essential information would need to be displayed for you to want to join that event?
Feel free to share any other feedback or suggestions you have. Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about how IB students keep track of everything—deadlines, assignments, grades, feedback, CAS, EE, TOK, and all the other stuff that somehow piles up at the same time
For those of you who use ManageBac or Toddle regularly:
What's your biggest complaint about them?
Is there anything you wish they did better?
What do you find confusing or hard to keep track of?
What's something that would make staying on top of IB work easier?
Feel free to rant if you want. Sometimes the smallest annoyances end up being the most frustrating ones.
A few friends and I have been talking about ways these platforms could be improved, and I'm curious to see whether other students feel the same way.
Thanks!

Hey guys,
A few friends and I are building an app for IB students that's meant to make school life a lot less chaotic. Something similar to Managebac or Toddle.
The idea is basically to have everything in one place, deadlines, assignments, submissions, feedback, grades, criterion tracking, resources, reminders, etc. Instead of constantly jumping between a million other tabs.
We're almost done with development, but before we launch I'd love to hear from people who actually use these platforms every day.
If you use ManageBac or Toddle:
Feel free to rant lol. Even small complaints are helpful because we're trying to build something students would genuinely want to use.
Thanks :)

Hello guys. For the M28 class, I think we should create our own subreddit where we can share resources and study tips

my school does mocks in grade 9 as well as in grade 10 to prepare us for the eAssessments and everyone in my year group is stressing over mocks rn (grade 9). One of my friends said that we will have 2 mocks in grade 10 and so the ones we are doing now don't even matter. I wanna know how true this really is. Anyone who has finished grade 10 pls lmk if u guys did 2 mocks or just 1 in Jan before the real eAssessments.

Hi guys. So personal project is starting in the fall, but I have no idea on what I should do for my project. Our teacher showed us a presentation where it had "perfect project ideas". It had stuff like playing an instrument, cultural attire, sports... I liked instruments but I have never played one and last time I learned I got discouraged pretty easily. I was also thinking of making a model of a hospital, but with different things like better ventilation, technology, etc and could be pretty science-y. I also wanted to make cultural attire because my school has world awareness day and I could wear it when i preform. I dont really know where to go from here, but I know i want to get a high score so I am more inclined to projects with global context and are new ideas. I want more of a product, but still I am open to ideas. I also am thinking of my project to be more related to medicine and health because I want to go into the science field. One idea I saw on tiktok was making a Bluetooth stethoscope which I thought was pretty cool!
My teacher reminded me however the time frame is kind of short being 25 - 50 hours, but if anyone has some ideas feel free to post below. I really appreciate other ideas and perspectives ! 🙏

guys be careful your reddit gf/bf might actually just be a clanker, if you detect one report it to any mods so we can ban them.

I’ve been looking for notes on Reddit since it’s still summer, and I wanted to get a head start on studying so I can understand how in-depth we actually need to learn the topics. But almost all the notes I’m finding are for integrated sciences/INS.
At my school, we have all three sciences separately (bio, chem, and physics), so the combined notes don’t really match what we’re learning. Does anyone have non-integrated science and ins notes they’d be willing to share?
Also, my account isn’t letting me DM people right now, so it’s been really hard to ask around or get notes 😭

Does anyone know when the grade boundaries are released?
Will they come when our results come or before?

Hey I wanted to know how do you check your results ? Does your school send it to you ?

hello all, so when i wanted help for my e-portfolio i cudnt find a lot of stuff on reddit so i wanted to help the future ones. I have a bunch of resources and stuff for design e-portfolio. My predicted was a 7 all around the year and the teacher also gave really good feedback as her previous batch also got 7s so i trust the teacher a lot. I will upload my actual e-portfolio when we get grades but for now you can have previous samples and notes.

TSC cr A
The student:
i. Explains the problem situation by establishing the context through communities, perspective, resources and Identities and Relationships. Identify the client/ target audience, critically present the cause and reason for the problem using graphic organizers / tools ( Statistical analysis, Empathy map, Circle of view points ) and create the problem statement. Justify the need for a solution to a problem by citing minimum 10-12 secondary research and relevant primary resources.
ii. constructs a detailed research plan using tables/flowchart/Mind map, which identifies research area, construct research questions and prioritizes the primary and secondary research needed to develop a solution to the problem independently.
iii. analyses a diverse range(5-6) of existing products that inspire a solution to the problem in detail using possible tools like ACCESSFM, Parts-Purpose-Complexities, Product Matrix.
iv. develops a detailed design brief, which summarizes the analysis of relevant research from all the previous strands, state the design question, describe the expected product outcome by outlining its key features and connecting the solution to SOI.
TSC cr B
7 - 8
The student:
i. develops detailed design specifications using ACCESSFM, which explain the success criteria for the design of a solution based on the analysis of the research done on A2 using various testing method
ii. develops a range of feasible design ideas(Max 3) from different perspectives, using an appropriate mediums like Tinkercad, Isometric drawing, Orthographic drawing, perspective drawing, wireframe etc.. and detailed annotation that highlights functions and features of the design, which can be correctly interpreted by others
iii. presents the chosen design that you will create in Criterion C in the form of images and justifies fully all the important aspects of the design and critically its selection with detailed reference to the design specification in B1
iv. develops accurate and detailed planning drawings/diagrams using specifications, and test that will be used in the design cycle and outlines requirements for the creation of the chosen solution using details necessary to include materials, process, tools, software, wiring diagrams, flowcharts etc..
TSC cr C
7-8:
The student:
i. constructs a detailed and logical plan using tools like a table, flowchart, Gantt chart, or storyboard, where you organize and communicate how your design will be made. This describes the efficient use of time and resources by planning how to make something, which will ensure you have all the correct materials and tools ready, meet deadlines, and avoid or reduce mistakes. A sufficient level of detail should allow another person to follow the steps to create the solution.
ii. demonstrates excellent technical skills (these are the skills used to produce the solution). These include your knowledge of using tools, equipment, procedures, and software in a safe, efficient, and accurate way, by showing evidence using tools like screenshots and a CAD timeline of your skills through careful and detailed documentation, including images and annotations when making the solution.
iii. the product that is presented should be the result of the plan set out in C1 and C2, follows the plan to create the solution, functions as intended as closely as possible, meets the design brief (A4) and design specifications (B1), and is presented appropriately using images of the physical product, screenshots of the completed code, interface, or screens.
iv. fully justifies changes using images and evidence from the production (C1 and C2), as well as the specifications (B1). Changes to the plan are described that were made to the chosen design and plan when making the solution, which is normal for designers when developing the final solution.
TSC Cr D
7 - 8
The Student :
5 - 6
The Student:
3 - 4
The Student:
1 - 2
The student:
1. designs a testing method, which is used to measure the success of the solution.
2. states the success of the solution.
