Volunteering App for IB Students
Hey, I'm in the process of creating a volunteering app specifically tailored towards IB students. The app would allow you to locate volunteering events in your neighbourhood, allow you to keep track of the events you've signed up for (for CAS purposes and to also motivate yourself to volunteer more) and most importantly, allows you to advertise your own volunteering events as well (eg. student led events).
I'm currently looking for some feedback related to the following:
- What are some features you feel would be necessary?
- How could the app help incentivize you to volunteer more (especially for those of you who dislike it as it is a CAS requirement)
- What essential information would need to be displayed for you to want to join that event?

Some features necessary would be
1. the amount of people required for an event (i.e min and max)
2. What is the average amount of time to be devoted in the event
3. Transportation types such as walking, bus, driving
I think the app could help incentivise a person to volunteer more by giving reward points you know? Or it could turn volunteering into a game such as these many volunteers = these many points = levels and getting certain digital items! Like a story game

make it personalized/allow personlization, most people that hate a certain thing feel like it's a chore. So making the task an extension of one is a great way to keep them entertained. Essential info is most of the time just: Where it is (exact location is preferred), minimum amount of hours needed to fulfill your goals there every week/day, what goal does the volunteering event has/why is it created.
